It is no surprise that I am a big fan of The Critical Drinker. His evisceration of leftist anti-White propaganda dressed up as entertainment, while not using those precise terms, is usually far more entertaining than the latest drivel served up by Hollywood. He just did his best and worst of 2024 selections….
Of course since this is The Drinker, the worst of section was a lot easier although picking the worst 5 from 2024 was tough because there was so much competition, along with his disappointments like House of the Dragon Season 2 that was a major drop-off from the first season. The Acolyte was an easy add to the worst list as it was just awful, so bad that it had to be intentionally bad.
The best of section was pretty solid. Shogun was the best thing on TV in a very long time. The Penguin was surprisingly good although I haven’t watched the full series yet. Dune Part 2 was also pretty decent other than Zendaya flat out ruining every single scene she was in. She is the cinematic equivalent of a serial killer, murdering scene after scene with reckless abandon. But then again….
Number 3 on his “best of 2024” list is a movie called “One Life“.
I have never heard of this movie. It seemed kind of like a random addition until the Drinker gave the summary. Here is what it says on iMDB:
The true story of Sir Nicholas ‘Nicky’ Winton, a young London broker who, in the months leading up to World War II, rescued 669 predominantly Jewish children from the Nazis. Nicky visited Prague in December 1938 and found families who had fled the rise of the Nazis in Germany and Austria, living in desperate conditions with little or no shelter and food, and under threat of Nazi invasion. He immediately realized it was a race against time. How many children could he and the team rescue before the borders closed? Basically the plot of Schindler’s List. I am glad to see this, I was just saying that what we really needed are more films about “The Holocaust”.
Maybe it is a great film, it has a 7.5 rating on iMDB but that doesn’t really count as most people will over-rate a film about The Single Most Important Event Of The 20th Century. It does beg the question, do we really need yet another “guilty gentile that saved some Jews from Moustache Man Bad” film? World War II was a pretty big deal but it has been slowly reduced to just “The Holocaust” and dropping the bomb on Japan.
The Critical Drinker is known for taking shots at what he calls “The Message” accompanied by this graphic:
When the Drinker is talking about The Message, he means what slightly edgy normies mean: race-swapping, cramming LGBTLMNOPQ++ characters into every movie, girl-bosses who don’t need no man that pummel dudes three times their size with a bitchy scowl. Intentionally wrecking franchises that are meaningful for White men. That sort of nonsense and I am glad to see him taking that on. The issue? Talking about that sort of thing critically is quite easy.
The Drinker has been steadily climbing in subscriber numbers for a long time and is now at north of 2.18 million subs. I don’t know what that translates to from a revenue standpoint but it must be pretty decent and I am not at all certain that One Life is on his best of 2024 list for any reason other than he liked it but I did seem very out of place and obscure. I made this comment on his video:
I feel I would be remiss if I didn’t point out that endless variations of Schindler’s List at the expense of talking about all of the other human tragedies that happened before (Holodomor), during (firebombing places like Dresden and Tokyo) and after (mass rape of German women, the brutalization of German citizens) World War II is the real peak of The Message. It is safe and easy to rail against girl bosses, race swapping and sexual degeneracy in movies but there is one thing you can’t Notice and that is the real Message.
A lot happened in World War II that had nothing to do with the Jews. A lot. In fact it wasn’t really that widely known for a long time. Look at famous World War II movies like A Bridge Too Far, Patton and The Longest Day. They focus on D-Day and the Allied march toward Berlin. No one really mentions anything about Jews or concentration camps. That really changed with Schindler’s List in 1993. Wikipedia even makes this note: “At a 1994 Village Voice symposium about the film, historian Annette Insdorf described how her mother, a survivor of three concentration camps, felt gratitude that the Holocaust story was finally being told in a major film that would be widely viewed”. It simply was not something that received a ton of attention.
Much of the episode is taken up with the retelling of an actual historical event, the liberation of the Kaufering labor camp in Bavaria. I rewatched it and about 18 minutes of the episode, about a third of the actual non-credits run-time, is taken up with depictions of the labor camp, of starved Jews, of corpses in graves and of the German citizens of the nearby town who were forced to help clean up the camp. It is portrayed as a significant event for Easy Company and the title implies that liberating these camps is one of the reason for why we fought World War II.
However in the book, the only mention of concentration camps comes in the very end of a chapter titled “Getting To Know The Enemy”, the same chapter I quoted from above to point out the respect the American paratroopers had for the German people. The camp they liberated warranted about a page of mention.
The actual passages on pages 262-263 make up less than 300 total words and certainly come across as a side-note rather than a significant event. The men of Easy Company had seen all sorts of horror in the war and the Kaufering camp was just another one. War is hell and there was horror to be seen from start to finish. Why would something that warrants almost no mention in the book the miniseries was based on be given a prominent role in the miniseries itself?
For several decades the story of World War II has been subtly altered. In the “Why We Fight” series, the war is portrayed as a struggle between the forces of freedom and the forces of slavery. In more recent times, the major battles and the complex geopolitical issues have all been winnowed down to one aspect above all others: The Nazis and the Holocaust. Many people couldn’t even name the other major belligerents in the war or what started it or when it took place but they know about the Nazis being bad because of the Holocaust.
In 1993 the film Schindler’s List was released. It didn’t get much attention at first, only drawing a little over $600,000 on it’s opening weekend but it quickly became one of the most acclaimed films in modern cinema. It won the Oscar for Best Film and Best Director and is the 6th most highly rated film on IMDb. It is a powerful film, no doubt about it. It also marked the point where the story of WW II became “The Holocaust and some people fighting“.

The discovery of the concentration camps had particular resonance for director David Frankel who lost members of his own family in the Nazi death camps.
So a Jewish director decides to take some “artistic license” and prominently feature an event that warranted only passing mention in the book. The reason is clear, at every opportunity the story of WW II must be retconned to focus on the Holocaust even when it isn’t really relevant to the actual events. Like I said, it is appropriate that the episode takes it name from a series of propaganda films. The reason for this and the implications are for another day.
If you are my age or older you have seen this shift for yourself. Something that barely deserves mentioning in a book suddenly becomes an episode long focal point of a miniseries adaptation. I am certain that Jews that served in the U.S. military during the Second World War were in part inspired to go fight Hitler and maybe some non-Jews but that isn’t what the overwhelming majority of Americans were fighting for.
This post isn’t intended as a “crap on the Drinker for not being based enough” screed but it is intended to point out that even most of the edgy people that rail against transvestites and retconning and race-swapping are either intentionally ignoring The Message when it comes wrapped in an Israeli flag or are simply unaware of it.
It has real world consequences. As the biggest bully on the block, America has been standing behind Israel while Our Greatest Ally commits what would be considered war crimes if any other nation committed them and very few people with any sort of platform call them out for it, with the exception of some leftist loons who actually undermine their point by being awful and silly people. The primary reason for this besides evangelicals being theologically enslaved to Israel because of dispensationalism is that thanks to the Holocaust-Industrial Complex, any criticism of any Jew, no matter how mild, gets linked back to “The Holocaust”: “What, you don’t think Israel is justified in bombing hospitals full of civilians? Holocaust denier!”. It really is that extreme. Criticism of George Soros is regularly accused of being “antisemitic”.
That is not an exaggeration. “The Holocaust” is the most unassailable standard for morality in the West. To be clear, I am not a “Holocaust Denier” in the sense that I deny anything happened at all. I am more aptly described as a “Holocaust Skeptic” and a big part of why I describe myself that way is based on one of my truths to live by:
The more you are told you aren’t allowed to question something, the more certain you should be that you ought to question it.
Something that we are told is based on irrefutable evidence ought to be one of the most well researched topics in the world but it oddly isn’t. Pointing this out is itself considered proof one is a “Holocaust Denier” and “antisemite”. If I said “I don’t think the Pearl Harbor attacks really happened”, someone can take me to Hawaii and show me the sunken wreck of the Arizona. That evidence proves that a battleship was sunk at that spot but it doesn’t answer questions like “Why were all of the aircraft carriers so conveniently absent?” and “Did Roosevelt know the attack was coming and allowed it to proceed to create the rage needed to get a reluctant American people to support total war?”.

There are lots of people with a lot invested in maintaining the status quo system even though it isn’t working for most people and hasn’t for a long time. Much of the backlash against Trump and MAGA is because it strays a little too close to the line of nationalism and populism and those schools of thought are anathema to The Powers That Be. Look at what happens to those sorts of movement on either side of the political spectrum when they crop up like Occupy Wall Street on the Left and the Tea Party on the Right. They are rapidly co-opted and assimilated by The Establishment Borg before they can lead to any real changes.
That is pretty far afield from my comment to The Critical Drinker but hopefully it speaks to the extent to which The Message isn’t even the same Message that people like the Drinker think. I still watch the Drinker, every video he posts, because he is funny but I always try to remember that he is just an entertainer at heart. He makes a nice living by posting funny videos attacking the easy, low hanging fruit but even the Drinker colors within the lines.

The first time I heard a comparison of Trump to Hitler, I immediately dismissed it. Now I’m not so sure. It’s not that I think Trump will focus on one race or ideology (certainly not the funny-hat club, he loves them)… but he is a nationalist politician who was popularly elected to return the country to a previous system. MAGA is = the response to Weimer Germany. American’s are PISSED about all the faggotry and fraud in our government, and want to take their country back. And I suspect Trump will achieve the same style of comeback for America that Hitler did for Germany, and he will be greatly loved by all because of it. Thing is, we haven’t yet plumbed the depths of depravity and suffering as occured during the Weimar republic, nor have we had the widespread, violent backlash against all the filth and perversion yet. Nothing of that sort has happened here yet. Not has the utter economic collapse – as in Weimar – resulting in widespread malnourishment and women whoring themselves just to survive (well, there is Onlyfans, but that isn’t the same as street walking for a few dollars to buy a bit of food) occured yet.
So, I would postulate that we have a ways to go until conditions are bad enough to elict the rise of a Hitleresque figure to properly channel the public anger and disillusionment towards the task of burning out the tumors amongst us. Trump sure isn’t anything of the sort, he’s a civnat through and through, who wants to take in/on all comers, so long as they can contribute something to the scam economy that serves as a simulacrum for actual productivity and growth.
Now, maybe he surprises us with some unexpectedly solid policy changes and shoves the transfaggotry and DEI back garbage down into the filthy communist shithole from whence it emerged for a while. But that fight will re-emerge soon enough, and only a violent backlash that forcibly subdues and defeats the perpetrators of our downfall will be effective at casting it out for a longer term, and give us a chance to recover a decent society and standard of living.
Of course, we could get to conditions that bad within a couple of years based on what I expect the economy to do (watch the exponential growth of the deficit, especially as it pertains to expenditures on CMS, and the knock on inflation it will cause) so even if the mass perversion and nigger/invader worship gets contained, we are still in a very bad place.
WW2 was all because of Jews in camps, just like the civil war was all because of Negroes on plantations. Oh, and our revolutionary war was because all men are created equal. A little knowledge of history . . . as it is taught . . . and righteousness is ours.
There’s a very real sense that all roads of western political dissidence end up leading to the holocaust mythology sooner or later, just as defense of the GAE and its purpose/philosophy ends up leaning, ultimately, on the holocaust mythology. It’s the foundation stone of it all. And thus the one thing you cannot question. When you get to that point, you have to go one way or the other. And it’s not even really a question of how truthful the mythology is (and there’s plenty of reasons to question it), it’s just as much a question of why is THIS ONE the most remembered, venerated, revered, indeed, even celebrated genocide, when there are so many genocides to choose from?
This perfectly encapsulates what pisses me off about it. The tribe has succeeded in making their persecution the only one that matters, to such a remarkable extent that no others may even be mentioned, without it being considered a violation of decorum.
There is a ceaseless arrogance about them that forces (or at least tries to) the rest of society to carry the water for their cause. It is so blatantly overbearing and condescending, and yet it astonishes me how few people actually perceive it that way, when it is right in their faces.
If there’s an avenue of “attack” for dissidents to take, this is it. Any questioning of the “facts” just gets you labeled a holocaust denier, and communication ends. But asking what’s so special about this genocide, why do we have all these museums to this particular genocide, and not the others? That is not as easily countered.

The first time I heard a comparison of Trump to Hitler, I immediately dismissed it. Now I’m not so sure. It’s not that I think Trump will focus on one race or ideology (certainly not the funny-hat club, he loves them)… but he is a nationalist politician who was popularly elected to return the country to a previous system. MAGA is = the response to Weimer Germany. American’s are PISSED about all the faggotry and fraud in our government, and want to take their country back. And I suspect Trump will achieve the same style of comeback for America that Hitler did for Germany, and he will be greatly loved by all because of it. Thing is, we haven’t yet plumbed the depths of depravity and suffering as occured during the Weimar republic, nor have we had the widespread, violent backlash against all the filth and perversion yet. All that stuff (the faggotry and trannyism particularly) saw a huge backlash from the population at large who were truly disgusted of it all.
Nothing of that sort has happened here yet. Not has the utter economic collapse – as in Weimar – resulting in widespread malnourishment and women whoring themselves just to survive (well, there is Onlyfans, but that isn’t the same as street walking for a few dollars to buy a bit of food) occured yet.
So, I would postulate that we have a ways to go until conditions are bad enough to elict the rise of a Hitleresque figure to properly channel the public anger and disillusionment towards the task of burning out the tumors amongst us. Trump sure isn’t anything of the sort, he’s a civnat through and through, who wants to take in/on all comers, so long as they can contribute something to the scam economy that serves as a simulacrum for actual productivity and growth.
Now, maybe he surprises us with some unexpectedly solid policy changes and shoves the transfaggotry and DEI back garbage down into the filthy communist shithole from whence it emerged for a while. But that fight will re-emerge soon enough, and only a violent backlash that forcibly subdues and defeats the perpetrators of our downfall will be effective at casting it out for a longer term, and give us a chance to recover a decent society and standard of living.
Of course, we could get to conditions that bad within a couple of years based on what I expect the economy to do (watch the exponential growth of the deficit, especially as it pertains to expenditures on CMS, and the knock on inflation it will cause) so even if the mass perversion and nigger/invader worship gets contained, we are still in a very bad place.
I wish more people would realize this. The whole “We’re Back Baby” is a lie. People just refuse to see it.

It’s the foundation stone of it all. And thus the one thing you cannot question. When you get to that point, you have to go one way or the other. And it’s not even really a question of how truthful the mythology is (and there’s plenty of reasons to question it), it’s just as much a question of why is THIS ONE the most remembered, venerated, revered, indeed, even celebrated genocide, when there are so many genocides to choose from?
