Saving The Free World By…..Sorting The Mail!

The Second World War was without much debate the most significant event of the 20th century. The aftermath created the world most of my readers grew up in. Almost everything that happened from 1945 to 1999 is directly tied into the cataclysmic changes in the world, from national borders to economics. The repercussions from the cocoon of safety and prosperity that resulted in the self-absorbed Boomers and the cultural backlash and the feminist and “civil rights” movements of the 60s and 70s that is destroying what is left of America today is almost entirely the result of the outcome of World War II.

On the other hand, it was also a war mostly between warring nations of White people with White soldiers in the European theater, the theater that gets far more attention than the Pacific. In the Pacific theater it was Whites from the U.S. and England fighting the Japs. There was of course a huge conflict in China but that gets almost no attention at all and without the U.S. defeating Japan, China would have remained a vassal state being brutalized by the Japanese.

That leaves us with a larger quandary: in the glorious new multicultural America of the 2020s, everything about what America is and who Americans traditionally were leaves non-Whites sitting as spectators on the sidelines. They are living in a house built by others so they didn’t have any say in how the house was built or how it is laid out. They have been slowly vandalizing the furnishings, throwing away the hand crafted coffee table and replacing it with TV trays from Temu, but the basic structure is an endless reminder that no matter how much They try to retconn American history, it remains the history of White people of European descent that came to this continent, conquered the Indian tribes living here and built a vast civilization that continues to be the envy of most in the world.

There are various copes that try to offset this such as the “this is stolen land” nonsense, as if every single border in the world is not the result of someone stronger defeating someone weaker. Even more silly is the idea that blacks “built America”, apparently picking cotton was the engine that created the cities of early America and cleared the continent to transform swamps into productive farm ground. If you will allow me a quick diversion….

I have lived much of my life in what was once The Great Black Swamp. This swamp covered an area of approximately 1,500 square miles. My hometown of Waterville, Ohio was once part of this swamp and where I currently live was also once swampland.

Starting in the mid-19th century a concerted effort was made to drain the Great Black Swamp, a process that has transformed what was once an impassable swamp full of malaria-bearing mosquitos into some of the best farm ground in America. This was accomplished in large part through the creation of a vast network of drainage tiles, a network that still exists today to drain water from mostly flat, heavy clay soil farm fields. Where my wife grew up east of Toledo, near Lake Erie, the ditches are very deep because it is flat as a pancake out there. Periodically old tiles made of clay around here are replaced with modern tiles.

The draining of the swamps was accelerated by the invention of the “Buckeye Traction Ditcher”, a sort of tractor that was used to lay drainage tiles quickly and efficiently. Similar although much larger machines are used today.

The Buckeye Traction Ditcher was invented by James B. Hill, who later would invent something called “apron traction” for use in muddy areas of Louisiana that were the forerunner of modern tank tracks. Not only did the Buckeye Traction Ditcher clear the Great Black Swamp but was also extensively used to drain parts of Louisiana and Florida. Here is James B. Hill.

It was men like Hill who invented machines that made it possible to conquer and tame the over 3 million square miles of the contiguous United States. Once the land was cleared of hostile Indians by White soldiers, it was settled by White families who cleared land by hand and scraped out a living from the soil. The American story is the story of White people. That this nation is the product of the sacrifice, sweat, blood and ingenuity of Whites is so self-evident that even today most people understand it despite years of “We Wuzzery”. That hasn’t stopped or discouraged others from claiming that non-Whites are the real heroes of the American story and that brings me to the point of the post.

Introducing “The Six Triple Eight“. This is a powerful and stirring recounting of the real pivotal action in World War II….black women sorting the mail. I can’t even describe in adequate detail how cringe and unintentionally hilarious the trailer is, so I will leave it to Oilfield Rando to speak for me…

Damn, those accents are something else. Dean Norris of Breaking Bad fame seems to be intentionally butchering whatever that was supposed to be. Netflix has managed to combine not just girl-bosses saving the day in World War II but also a nod to blacks: “We helped too!”. Some of the comments pointed out the amusing Netflix logo….

N indeed. Others highlighted this outrageous claim:

Huh, black women sorting the mail had the most to prove? Not the guys charging onto a beach into withering machine gun fire, or the men who jumped out of damn planes or rode gliders into a “controlled” crash landing? Those men were terrified but they did it anyway because that is what they had to do. It sort of sounds like we expect heroism and sacrifice from White men but when black women perform a basic menial clerical job adequately it is noteworthy and deserves a movie. That line about black women sorting mail having the most to prove is so ridiculous it defies understanding but then again a lot of black women hear that and agree, after all these same women think they are the only ones who have sustained America for centuries.

This was the 1940s. The U.S. military was still segregated and coincidentally was still winning wars. Certainly many blacks served in the military in support roles just as many women honorably served in various support positions. So did American Indians and Japanese-Americans and mestizos. That doesn’t change the basic facts that the fighting men of the U.S. military were almost exclusively White. Whatever you think of World War II, the victory was won by White men. They stormed the beaches, they flew the planes, they drove the tanks, they killed and they died by the hundreds of thousands.

While I get that there is an unlimited appetite for World War II material, you could literally pick any combat unit at random, do some research and come up with a compelling story people would watch. Look at Band of Brothers, the story of ‘”Easy” Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division’. They were one company in one battalion in one regiment of the 101st Airborne, itself just one of many divisions of the U.S. Army that landed at Normandy and fought their way across Europe.

Easy Company didn’t even get into the action until D-Day, June 6th of 1944. By that point we had already been at war for years and Americans had been fighting and dying in North Africa and Italy not to mention the bloodbath in the Pacific. From August of 1942 to February of 1943 while Easy Company was still training, over 7,000 Marines died in brutal fighting in the Guadalcanal campaign. Almost two full years earlier, in November of 1942, General George Patton led 33,000 Americans to land in North Africa as part of Operation Torch. Why not tell their story? There is a lot more to World War II in the European theater than just D-Day and liberating concentration camps but we don’t get those stories. We get black women sorting the mail.

The movie looks dumb and poorly made, no surprise. That won’t matter. Lots of guilty Whites will watch it and praise it for being stunning and brave with the obligatory groveling for how we done did those black women wrong. Lots of blacks will watch it and internalize the message that they are in fact the glue that holds this nation together in spite of all of the evidence to the contrary. People who mock this film and point out how utterly ridiculous it is will be called racist because noticing that a silly film based on a silly premise and poorly executed must be because you are racist (or sexist, see “Every work Star Wars film for the last decade”).

At least we still have lots of books that tell the real stories of what happened in our past because popular entertainment certainly won’t.

That trailer made me think immediately of the “old negro space program” mockumentary you posted here a while back. In essence, it is unintentionally funny by trying to present itself as serious subject matter, when a far more entertaining parody of similar material has already been done.

Oh, and fuck Netflix with a rusty steam powered Buckeye traction ditcher.

I respectfully disagree that WW2 was more important than WW1…WW1 created worldwide messes, including the Sykes-Picot agreement which carved up the ME and led to problems that still exists today…It also destroyed Britain as a world power and bankrupted it, in a war where it had nothing at stake…And as many, including Lloyd George and Keynes said at the time, made WW2 inevitable…

Bingo. At the very least, without WWI and it’s aftermath, WWII wouldn’t have occurred as it did. And it bears consideration that the world has never recovered from either of the big wars. Much of the political, social and economic failure that plague us today can be directly attributed to the unfathomable damage done by the two great wars of the 20th century.

One of the more notable consequences was the elimination of all remaining European Monarchies, which went on to force the adaption of “democracy” in the countries that didn’t end up under Soviet control, which as we can all see, has been an utter disaster.

I give you “The Marshall Plan,” an astonishing White-created boondoggle that defies credence.

Better: “To the Victor go the Spoils.” Since antiquity the latter has been the modus operandi of waging War.

Today, our woke armies are out there to “win their hearts and minds.”

The correct version reads: Two in the Heart, One in the Mind.” [The Mozambique Drill].

Swear to God, this is the summary of the movie on IMDB:

“855 women joined the war to fix the three-year backlog of undelivered mail. Faced with discrimination and a country devastated by war, they managed to sort more than 17 million pieces of mail ahead of time.
During the height of the conflict in World War II circa 1943, difficulties in the war led to a change in priorities, and much of the mail previously reaching soldiers on the front lines has been halted. As warehouses begin to overflow with unfulfilled deliveries, soldiers’ hopes are dashed as they lose contact with their families back home. To fix this problem, the 6888th Battalion the Women’s Army Corps’ all-Black battalion including over 800 female soldiers is sent to tackle the impossible challenge of sorting years’ worth of backlogged mail. Even as military higher-ups hope to see the plan fail, the Six Triple Eight are determined to deliver hope to soldiers and families across the world.”

Jesus Christ, even that makes it sound lame!🤣🤣

I work part time for the county public library system, sorting books for inter-library loan. There are four of us in my department, all retired men, who are looking to make some extra money to support our families and to help pay medical bills for sick spouses. We are all in our sixties, usually quite exhausted, sometimes injured, and often in pain by the end of a shift. We sort THOUSANDS of items every week, moving hundreds of bins filled with tons of books and other library materials.

When will our film be made? 😄

“At least we still have lots of books that tell the real stories of what happened in our past because popular entertainment certainly won’t”.

I’m convinced that paper books are what people will one day wish they had collected now, when they are plentiful and cheap. Not everyone can do this, but if you’ve got a spare room for floor to ceiling bookshelves, and you’re not planning on moving, then there’s never been a greater opportunity to build a great collection of books.

Digital books can be ‘memory-holed’. Future print books can be carbon taxed. Get ’em now, even if only one grandchild appreciates the treasure you left. That would make it worthwhile.

      This ^^^
Just remember that, depending on the subject, most all books have been shitlib sanitized during the past 30 years, so choose wisely.
As for digital books, essays etc. Download as many as possible on multiple hard drives. There’s still a goldmine of stuff that will become forbidden very soon!

      • Johnny Taopi

        “…choose wisely”.

Absolutely. I laughed at a news story this week where it was breathlessly reported that they now believe that the natives spread syphilis to Columbus’ men, who then brought it back to Europe, instead of vice versa. Samuel Eliot Morison told us this in his great book Admiral of the Ocean Sea 80+ years ago!

“At least we still have lots of books that tell the real stories of what happened in our past because popular entertainment certainly won’t”.

An Orwellian-Huxleyan nightmare is looming on the horizon that will make those books either illegal to own or unwanted because the severely dumbed-down population lacks the ability to read them.
I live about an hour from two moderately sized cities. Both are 80% + white. Both of their main libraries (and satellites) are teeming with shitlib propaganda. The children’s room features nothing but titles by and about nigs, freaks, latrinos, asians and women. Suicidal altruism at it’s finest. I’m constantly finding ways of disposing them and putting White themed books in their place. It ain’t easy! Most of the traditional stuff has either been removed from the shelf or has whitey marginalized or rewritten out altogether.
    Brave new world indeed!

I swear that I am ready to move back to the outback of the Sierras, erect a barbed wire fence around 10 acres, and sit with a shotgun across my lap. The world is crazy and crazier.
Make sure that your home library contains the Classics Ie Works by Shakespeare, Austen, Dickens, and Ancient Greek works such as Homer’s Iliad and Odyssey, the plays of Sophocles, and the works of Plato and Aristotle. They have outlasted Jane has 2 Mommy’s and Dickhead has a “different” family for a reason. From there, move forward more modern literature that challenges the mind.

Why in the hell would you stay in CA Sister unless you never want to run out of zombies to shoot and then you better hope you never run out of ammo…

The entire works of Ernest Hemingway and a case of Bushmill’s, and a couple of cords of tamarack (larch) is quite sufficient. If you’re going to be indulgent, a pan seared (in butter and mushrooms) ribeye crusted in thyme, marjoram, salt and pepper for dinner. If you’re going to be a glutton a filterless cigarette for desert. Remember: “The only thing you should ever put in Irish Whiskey is more Irish Whiskey.”

  8. LGC

    wait, this is real????????

Someone posted that trailer yesterday on a forum and I couldn’t decide if it was real or satire. I can’t believe it’s real.

And +100 to buying real books
