Me in 2016/2017 was finally admitting what I had always known about a whole bunch of issues: race, conservatism, religion, the JQ. I was transitioning from a pretty “conservative” guy who still trusted the plan into something else. It wasn’t like I didn’t know blacks were a disaster but I felt like I had an obligation to try to pretend they weren’t all bad.
One thing I was right on the money about: The Orange Man.
On November 8, 2017, one year after the 2016 “election” I wrote this post on the old blog: The Election That Never Ended and said:
One year ago on November 8th, 2016, the day started as so many other election days have for me since my earliest recollection of an election, the 1980 landslide of Ronald Reagan that I watched with my die-hard Democrat grandparents (they didn’t have a good night). As I have in every significant election since I turned 18 I went to the polls and as I have in most elections since 1992 I went to the polls with my wife. I cast my vote for Gary Johnson, as I did in 2012, because I simply couldn’t pull the lever for Trump, partly for reasons of character and partly because he just isn’t terribly conservative in any traditional sense, although in the last twelve months I have found myself less and less identified with traditional conservatism as well.
I freely admit that it was hilarious to watch the election coverage and I sorta wished I had voted for him because it would have been that much sweeter but as I said, I didn’t trust the man then and nothing in either his complete first term or thus far in his second has made me trust him.
Leading up to the 2024 “election” my well established position was that Trump was likely going to be allowed to “win” in order to set him up as a scapegoat for an intentional crash, a crash that would discredit the populist wing of the Republican Party and “MAGA”. The initial post for those that are new is here: Setting Up A Scapegoat?
My thought was that They would torpedo the economy in some way, perhaps by underlining the fake and gay system that perpetuates the farce that everything is fine.
What I didn’t see coming but probably should have is that apparently Trump is going to destroy himself all on his own. Why burn cities when you can just sit back and watch Trump step on his dick over and over and over?

Massie has always been kind of a maverick but he also seems like a rare mostly decent guy, especially by Congressional standards. Mocking him for getting remarried after his wife died? This from a serial adulterer who has been divorced twice and banged everything with a pulse for decades?
Then of course we have the saga of the once fervent Trump loyalist Marjorie Taylor Greene who made the critical error of pushing for the release of the Epstein files that Trump had promised to release. Trump shit all over her and the combination of knowing that she was unlikely to win a bruising primary against a Trump-backed opponent and also according to her resignation that the political system just simply doesn’t work for actual Americans, MTG called it quits.
Even after she announced her early retirement, Trump couldn’t help but be an ass.

I was not a big fan of hers but on the issues of the day she is a lot more right than wrong. Also of note, MTG is guilty of Noticing and doesn’t get the shekels :

Something else she shares with Kentucky’s Thomas Massie who is alone in the Bluegrass State in not receiving AIPAC money (Rand Paul’s contribution is so small it makes me suspect it is a troll by AIPAC):

Rand found himself on the receiving end as well….

For his many faults, chiefly that he takes libertarianism seriously, Rand Paul is a decent Senator and compared to the other 99 currently in the Senate is pretty good in comparison (an admittedly very low bar).
Trump’s ego won’t permit him to back down now. In his mind something is true because he say it, something is good because he does it. In this he is precisely the same as every other politician.
In the last 10 years Trump has done something pretty remarkable in bringing wholesale into the Republican Party the bulk of White working class voters. It has been an uneasy alliance, with rank and file MAGA voters understandably not trusting the Beltway “conservatives” on one side and establishment Republicans who hate Trump but hate his voters even more on the other. That electoral coalition worked in 2016, 2020 and 2024 but it appears to be shattered beyond repair with a lot of “MAGA” voters experiencing major buyer’s remorse.

Looking at the recent off-year elections and the splintering of the Trump coalition and it is hard to imagine next November being anything but a bloodbath in the midterm “elections”. The GOP is apparently going to spend more money to try to unseat Thomas Massie in the primary than it is trying to elect Republicans to Congress.
What must be mind-bending to normies who just want to go back to the way American used to be is that the driver of most of the “civil war on the right” is a tiny foreign nation in the Middle East. At least for those aware enough to realize this.
MAGA has always been an ego trip for Trump, with him wearing that stupid hat with a suit. It never really meant anything but it seemed for a while that Make America Great Again was synonymous with America First.
This is understandable. Most of us remember in what seems like a lifetime ago when Trump was giving his first inaugural speech. It was such a surreal moment, many people including me sort of wondered if this was really happening. In that inauguration speech on January 20th, 2017, before Covid and the Summer of Love, before the lawfare and the assassination attempts, before it became apparent that Israel was the real winner in 2016, Trump said:
The oath of office, I take today, is an oath of allegiance to all Americans. For many decades, we’ve enriched foreign industry at the expense of American industry, subsidized the armies of other countries, while allowing for the very sad depletion of our military. We’ve defended other nation’s borders while refusing to defend our own. And spent trillions and trillions of dollars overseas, while America’s infrastructure has fallen into disrepair and decay. We’ve made other countries rich while the wealth, strength and confidence of our country has dissipated over the horizon. One by one, the factories shuddered and left our shores, with not even a thought about the millions and millions of American workers that were left behind. The wealth of our middle class has been ripped from their homes and then redistributed all across the world.
But that is the past, and now we are looking only to the future. We assembled here today our issuing a new decree to be heard in every city, in every foreign capital, and in every hall of power, from this day forward: a new vision will govern our land, from this day forward, it’s going to be only America first. America first.
We hadn’t heard anything like that from an American President in a long time and many can be forgiven for believing Trump when he said that.
It didn’t take long in his first term to see that Jared “Gríma Wormtongue” Kushner was whispering in Trump’s ear and that “America First” was less critical than Israel First and in his second term even without Gríma Wormtongue Kushner the facade of America First disappeared as soon as the inauguration was over. America First has taken a back seat to Israel, Our Lord and Savior GDP, H1B tech slaves and shitting on the rare decent Republicans in Congress in favor of Lindsey Graham.
The fragile coalition is broken and that spells trouble for normiecons. VOATING MOAR HARDERER isn’t going to work in an increasingly “diverse” America and the daily death of Republican voters and new non-White democrat voters turning swings the electoral math against Republicans more every day.
Like the Tea Party, the Buchanan Brigades, the Ross Perot insurgency, and every other attempt at right-wing populism in recent history, MAGA is dead and was killed by the same people who were supposed to be representing actual Americans.

America First is a step toward a better way that finally gets Whites engaged in their own self-interest but right now even that movement is splintered. The face of America First is either Trump, who declared that he alone determines what is or is not America First….
When I caught Donald Trump by phone this morning, the president wanted to make one thing clear: “America First” means whatever he says it does. “Well, considering that I’m the one that developed ‘America First,’ and considering that the term wasn’t used until I came along, I think I’m the one that decides that,” Trump told me. “For those people who say they want peace—you can’t have peace if Iran has a nuclear weapon. So for all of those wonderful people who don’t want to do anything about Iran having a nuclear weapon—that’s not peace.”
….I have to assume he knows that America First was a political philosophy championed by people like Charles Lindbergh back before the U.S. was suckered into entering World War II and figures, rightly so, that his most ardent followers won’t bother looking into it. On the other hand he lives in a bubble of sycophants and might not even know who Charles Lindbergh was….
…or Nick Fuentes who is many things but a serious leader he is not.
What makes Trump an effective campaigner makes him a shitty President. His no apologies, brash bare knuckle campaign style works great in making campaign speeches but not for leading. It is one thing to stand on a stage and make wild boasts but being a leader is something completely different and made nearly impossible when your own party is fighting you, and completely impossible when you screw over any independent voices.
It turns out that the Left didn’t even need riots and burning cities. Trump did all of their work for them and all they have to do is stand back and watch.
Sadly, I can’t disagree with anything you wrote here.
BTW, what does JQ mean?
JooQuestion.
All true.
Clock’s ticking. Tribe up. Train up.
The Right is still trying to solve problems with politics. The left is not unwilling to take to warfare. I wonder how that’s going to play out.
“Can any American take seriously the planned American war against Russia? Its no different than Russian leaders assuring Europe that Russia’s plan is to free Europe from America’s influence. The two Bolshevisms-that of Russia and that of America, to which is now added a third, that of Tel Aviv, are so entwined with each other, and have so much recent history in common, that all Europeans can do is lump them together in one stinking heap.”-Francis Parker Yockey.
Forget China and Russia. Judeo bolshevism and zionist supremacy are the hammer and anvil that will destroy the White world.
I have completed my transformation from tail end boomer to proud ANTISEMITE. Hopefully T-rump can continue to be so successful with other members of my generation.
T-rump. Nice.
