I spread it out over a couple of days but I watched the entire 2 hour and 16 minute interview of Nick Fuentes by Tucker Carlson….
Normally I just don’t have the time or patience for a two hour video. I had to make myself sit down and watch, not because it was boring as it was actually very interesting, but because there are so many other things tugging at my attention. In multiple places I stopped the video, and went back to rewatch because my attention drifted off and I missed something interesting. All part of the world of social media where even older guys like me have much shorter attention spans. It is the curse of the modern world. I could spend all day watching hours long videos, I want to watch Tucker’s 9/11 series soon, but I have a life and a job and a family.
On display were two men from very different generations. Tucker is very much a product of Generation X, as am I. Tucker was born in 1969, and married in 1991 at the age of 22 which is considered by many to be a crazy young age (I was even younger than Tucker when I was married and have twice as any kids). Nick on the other hand was born in 1998 so he is only 27 years old making him younger than several of my children. That makes him Gen Z or a “Zoomer”, a term adopted and embraced by many of his fans (many of his fanboys are some of the most irritating people on social media).
That generational divide was on full display.
The interview starts out with a lot of biographical information about Nick, with Tucker interrupting far more than I thought was necessary with repeated bizarre passive-aggressive references to “blood guilt”. The picture Nick paints to me at least is of a guy who sort of stumbled into fame and/or notoriety, a young and idealistic normiecon who quickly started asking the wrong sorts of questions about the wrong group of people.
As someone who finds Tucker amusing at times and sees him despite his faults as a gateway drug into a more genuine right-wing, even as others see him as a gatekeeper which I also don’t deny, I was pretty disappointed in the first hour of the interview. He came across as kind of bitchy and more than a bit out of touch.
At around the 55 minute mark or so Tucker starts laying into Nick for lumping all Jews together and decrying “identity politics”, as if there is any other kind of politics other than identity politics. “Don’t you know the Apostle Paul was a Jew and he’s my hero”. Oh piss off for real. Paul was more critical of Jews than I am and the contemporary Jews aren’t the same people as the first century Jews, just as modern “Israel” isn’t the same thing as the theocratic ethnostate from the Old Testament. It’s a classic NAJALT, not all Jews are like that, fallacy.
Tucker said something to this effect, we can’t have identity politics in a multiracial country where every group is fighting against each other. OK but….excuse the Boomer all caps…
THAT IS WHAT WE HAVE RIGHT NOW AND HAVE HAD FOR DECADES.
Cripes, how can he not see this or see this and then think that it makes sense for the heritage American population, the descendants of the people who built this country and the current people that are desperately trying to keep it together, to pretend we are not in that fight? It is precisely because Whites have ignored the real fight in which we are engaged in favor of silly squabbling about tax rates that has landed us in the precarious place we find ourselves.
It certainly felt like Tucker was trying to bait Nick into an outburst. In fact I found a lot of the interview showed Tucker being a little petulant and Nick Fuentes of all people being the calm, sober and reasonable one. I even started following him on Twitter against my better judgment.
When Tucker finally stopped grandstanding and allowed Nick to talk after Nick very patiently waited, Fuentes really had a lot of interesting things to say. It took an hour into the interview to happen of course. Very interesting thoughts on Jews being a diaspora around the world and the very long memory, being pissed at the Romans for destroying the Jewish temple almost 2,000 years ago. In short that Jewish thinking is Eastern, not Western, despite the claims of Western civilization being built on “Judeo-Christian values”. His case for placing Jews front and center at the heart of the problems in America was very well stated.
One interesting thing Nick said that I agree with wholeheartedly:
Identity politics whether you love it or hate it, whatever you feel about it, it’s a reality, we live in a world of Jews and Christians, of Whites and blacks. These identities mean something to us and they mean things to each other.
My position is that the heart of dissident politics, the “Dissident Right” for lack of a better term, is realism: The Essence Of Dissident Politics.
The essence of being a political dissident in 2021 and beyond is this:
We are a movement based in realism, and we respond to the world as it really is rather than reacting to the world as we wish it was.
Being a dissident means being a realist. It would be nice if the flowery rhetoric of “all men are created equal” really meant that all men were equal in every respect, rather than all men have certain rights, but my inability to dunk a basketball or do math is evidence this is not true, never has been true and furthermore never will be true.
It would lovely if we could argue over topics based strictly on their merit, not whether a policy benefits my group or harms my group. That would be great but it is impossible in a multiracial nation as we unwillingly have found ourselves. Nick seems to get that and I suspect Tucker does as well and he was just putting on an act, I can’t imagine Tucker doesn’t see the same videos you and I see of blacks being blacks and doesn’t occasionally mutter “Those fucking niggers”.
I always have thought of Fuentes as a somewhat amusing clown, a court jester who is trying to be taken seriously. On the other hand he is very young still and he does do more in meatspace than most of /ourguys/, and based on this interview he seems to have grown up a lot while still coming across as a kid in other places. On the other, other hand, has he ever had a real job? Where is the girlfriend? I have my suspicions on that front. There are weird rumors, I don’t give them much credence but the issue remains that he is a late 20s guy who doesn’t seem to have much interest in the ladies. On the other, other, other hand that is not unusual for guys that age, leading to the very dangerous MGTOW, “no girls in our clubhouse!” kind of sexual nihilism that is so awful.
Tucker is a little older than me and Nick is the age of my older children so the interaction there regarding women was fascinating to me. This can’t be overstated, the way men my age view women and vice versa compared to how men Nick’s age view women are as different as night and day. It’s like we aren’t even talking about the same thing.
Fuentes sees women as simply not worth the trouble. That is bizarre to me and a lot of men my age. I am happily married for more than 30 years, we raised 8 children to adulthood, there have been ups and downs but I shudder to think of what I would have been if I was unmarried now and if I was a young man in this world? Holy shit. Young women are a disaster and young men have leaned into the world of not dating and not having sex with actual women, while when I was young our lives revolved around dating and sex.
Nick also makes far too much of this into an ego trip, and of course he isn’t alone in that (looking at you “Vox Day”), being kinda bitchy and catty about people he thinks have wronged him. Tucker for his part is far too dismissive of people who cozied up to Fuentes and then stabbed him in the back on social media. I have to continually remind myself that Nick Fuentes is very young and still finding his way.
As I said, it was a fascinating interview and despite my criticisms of Tucker as to his conduct I praise him for having Nick on the show.
The backlash against Tucker Carlson has been predictably hysterical and over the top, as if the people being paid by Israel are in a contest to see who can say the craziest shit and I guess the winner gets to choose one video of them with farm animals to be removed from the Mossad library. Like this guy….

Randy Fine is a fat fuck and a Jew called by some “the future of Republican Jewish politics”. Notice the signs all of those bottoms are holding: Tucker is not MAGA. Oh no, whatever will he do? What I find delightful is that the hysteria is a sign of desperation. It is the “Shut it down!” meme come to life!

I didn’t and won’t watch it of course but the “Republican” Jewish Coalition meeting mostly seemed to be talking about Tucker while a steady stream of Zionist shills marched up to the podium to jerk off to killing Palestinians and condemning Tucker Carlson for daring to do actual journalism by interviewing Nick Fuentes.
Of course the old guard shills at National Review, a publication that has been a clown show for decades, also pitched a fit, A Time for Choosing on Antisemitism, with this whopper making me laugh out loud.
The deeper problem is that Carlson didn’t actually challenge any of Fuentes’s noxious views that he has spelled out quite clearly over the years. Fuentes has engaged in Holocaust denial, called Adolf Hitler “really f***ing cool,” and said that if his movement gained power, it would execute “perfidious Jews.”
Carlson didn’t even need to go back through old clips to find objectionable statements. In his appearance, Fuentes stated that the “big challenge” to unifying the country against tribal interests was “organized Jewry in America,” and he expressed admiration for Soviet butcher Joseph Stalin. He did not receive any pushback from Carlson.
The only people that would buy that are the NR Boomercon audience who didn’t and won’t watch the interview for themselves on that danged old YooTubez the kids watch these days. Tucker spent the first hour pushing back on Fuentes to the point of being rude and obnoxious and that still wasn’t enough for NR, because NR’s paymasters are terrified that anyone would listen to Nick and consider his views at all. For all of the “conservative” complaints about “cancel culture”, no one embraces cancel culture more that the Beltway “conservatives” like National Review. Just ask Pat Buchanan and Joseph Sobran and John Derbyshire and Peter Brimelow and on and on.
National Review is sort of right, it is a time for choosing, and more and more people are choosing to ignore NR as irrelevant.
Anyway, if you are interested in this sort of stuff give the video your attention. I found it well worth the couple of hours. It has upwards of 5 million views after 5 days so I am not alone in finding it interesting.
The hymies, as a collective, vote against their own best interests time and again. I don’t give a fuck who morons like that pray to, I do, however, take offense to vermin who vote for gun control 99 times out of a hundred while their last civilian dis-armament adventure is literally still a living memory. Fuck them.
They have a very different perspective, that is why they vote for people who hate Jews while never voting for the people that fawn over them
“a view adherent to realism, versus the way everyone wishes it was…”
Thirty years of retail meat taught me there are basically two kinds of meat cutters.
One, you barely see him moving, no sweat, no fuss, but the line of cut and trayed meat racks waiting to be wrapped gets longer and longer. Everything organized. No mess, no pile of boning on the table. But if you didn’t notice the product piling up you’d think he was barely doing anything,
The other? Noise and racket and meat landing loudly on the block and blood flying everywhere. The boning is piling up, and if you let that guy alone long enough, you’ll be selling regular cuts off the the block because the counter is wrecked…very inefficient-the kind of scene that makes a boss pretty grouchy. But that guy goes home everyday tired enough to think that he’s just killing it.
The realism is the first guy, clearly. Efficient. To the point. Not wasting time nor effort on the imaginary, the unnecessary, the “wished for”. Focused on results.
“Our side” if you can still really call it that, clings to the idealizations about “identity politics” and “race and gender” and ‘if we do it, they’ll do it when they get back into power”. (AHEM). We-if they are us-are hamstrung by ideals and altruism and a fair play that doesn’t even register in the bolshevik brain.
Nick Freitas has a ute oob video wherein he talks about getting tough and teaching the left a lesson. You can’t teach them diddly, brother Nick. Get tough against the left and they will ratchet things up until you’re way past level 10. (If you’ve ever been around a bi polar you know what I am talking about) and The Left is as manic depressive as they come. We must get tough with the left, YES. Not to teach them a lesson. But to take back our civilization. Our culture. Our government, and courts and schools and economy. The judeo-bolsheviks aren’t “carving out their own space”. Their aim is to take everything and enslave or genocide everyone else.
This article and the one previous one “Conservativism Needs To Be Torn Down” belong together like installments in a series.
Zionist supremacists are coming at Carlson hard now, vilifying all he says and does, comparing him to H-Hund and all that. This country will either be destroyed by zionism in all its forms or expel it and maybe survive. There is no third option
Also, great article, Arthur. I’ve listened to a couple of excerpts from the interview, but haven’t been able to listen to all of it yet.
The second hour is far better than the first
Nick Freitas is a nice guy but he strikes me as woefully naive.
Not to pick on Mr Freitas, but he is mired in his altruism like a lot of White conservatives.

I read probably a hundred times faster than people speak.
Instead of listening to a discussion, I read the transcript.
Did I miss anything?
Agreed on reading versus video as my much preferred means of “consuming” useful or interesting content. Can’t stand all the video, and haven’t the time to catch it all.
The non-verbal stuff was kind of interesting, you could see Tucker baiting Nick and Nick forcing himself to let it slide. Otherwise reading is far preferable
I get that things like that are lost in print. But I have no patience (nor do I really have the time) to watch long form videos. I spend more time online that I should as it is, both reading, and commenting in a handful of places I’ve taken a liking too.
I doubt you missed anything, but you do miss the almost teen girl sighing of Tucker which was super annoying
Sighing? It’s his giggling that I can’t stand. I don’t remember preppies being so effeminate when they laughed, or is that just Tucker’s New England upper-crust behavior coming out again?
I hang out (online) in a blue collar forum for my profession and i”m by far the oldest one (I’m your age, GenX best gen) and they are pretty virulently anti-zionist. They post memes and such that I probably wouldn’t dare. These are just regular blue collar guys from 22 to 35 or so from all over the country (and Canada) from all different backgrounds. The only thing they despise more than the jews are the jeets. Everyone hates the jeets.
It wasn’t this way 5 years ago. It’s changed pretty dramatically. They all noticed and when the shackles came off when Trump was re-elected it all came pouring out.
One point of order though. You said “All part of the world of social media where even older guys like me have much shorter attention spans”
It isn’t really that, ti’s that a podcast/interview is a TERRIBLE and inefficient way to move information. Can’t stand podcasts, Takes an hour to get across what i can read in 10 minutes. And since most people are speaking without preparation, they aren’t doing any editing and pruning and getting their arguments well laid out. There’s a reason that writing is so important. I can read much faster than anyone can talk, it’s a stupid way to move information. Old man rant over.
Growing up people commonly made fun of Jews and often used “Jew” as a way to describe negotiating for a lower price or for someone that was tight with their money. Thanks to Schindler’s List we can’t do that anymore
I still do it. And never watched Schindler’s List, so I’m immune to the propaganda.
The lie of civnat blank slate politics which happens to agree (conform) to the death cults lie of identity for me but not for me is that politics stripped of ethnos serves anything other than itself and its offspring of state power nodes and resource control.
It’s the same lie that would have us believe that there are any governments that are not theocracies.
All governments are theocracies as they define the moral code of the polis and its appeal to the higher power. All of em.
So “separation of church and state” is the same lie that has replaced Christ centered moral statehood with the rainbow mafia death cults globohomo dehumanized progressive orthodoxy just as the blank slate paperwork Americanism has replaced English White Men.
The body and the spirit of Heritage America, both stolen – or rather ceded, to the same body of lies.
That Tucker tows that line is not surprising in the same way modern Christianity submits to Progress to define its terms and conservative preachers who hate trannies will still put your kids in the rail cars for being White.
The gatekeeping is emergent behavior as much as it is targeted because of that same lie. To have status and reach and platform and brand is to submit. Funny that folks can see it vis a vis the moslems but not in our own house.
It is always easier to see the fault in others than in your own house.
Excellent post and comments. Yes, Tucker is simultaneously a Gate Keeper and a Gateway, sometimes daringly en pointe and other times deliberately obtuse. This decrying of ‘identity politics’ goes back even further than the Jewish ‘melting pot’ civnat garbage, to Teddy Roosevelt condemning ‘hyphenated’ Americans. But as any realist knows, there is no such thing as genuine 100% ‘assimilation.’ There is conquest and there is synthesis. The mass immigration of 1840-1920 changed English/Scots/German America irrevocably. Even disregarding the Jews, mass White Christian immigration of mixed ethnicities (which used to be referred to as different races) brought identity politics to the forefront. The Mafia, Irish gang bosses, Greek ethnocentrism, etc. You still see it in the ethnic communities of the East coast (it seems to diminish significantly when people live in mixed ethnic communities and intermarry – the post WW II suburbs marked the beginning of the ‘generic American White ‘mutt’).
But add other visually distinct races and alien faiths and you end up with the morass we have today. The Boomers and Xers who insist that genie can be forced back into its bottle are lying to themselves and us. That Tucker pushes that makes me think less of him.
I know nothing of Fuentes other than what I’ve read online. I know zman initially had positive things to say and then seemed to sour on him. He sounds reasonable based on what you’ve written, and I don’t expect consistency from any public figure. And along with others here, I read much faster than people speak, so don’t tend to listen to podcasts.
Sometimes Tucker is maddening and frustrating because he is so transparently obtuse. I used to give the Zman grief about Fuentes who was really insufferable a few years ago but really sees to have grown up. Some.
The Juse know that Swiss time is running out (American military strength waning and the aging out of the dispensationalists) and for that reason they are going full bore in Gaza and Iran. Add in corrupt Satenyahoo and the crazies Ben Gavir and Smotrich and you get a perfect storm. The goal is “greater Isreal”. Time will tell where this all goes, but with Trump having gotten $100 million from Sheldon Adelson’s widow for the last election, the bill must be paid.
They really do feel the sand is about out of the hourglass for Them, and that makes Them desperate and also makes Them dangerous.
Amazing how much the Hate Tucker machine has spun up.
No joke.
