‘A tragedy of the worst kind’: Teen allegedly murdered his grandmother inside church
A teenager allegedly confessed to beating his own grandmother to death inside a church that she attended, with her body later being discovered in the holy building.
Police were dispatched to Smith Chapel Holiness Church at around 5:45 p.m. on October 29 after family members discovered 73-year-old Ollie Hamilton dead inside of the church, according to The Independent. The victim was reportedly found near an area that led to the kitchen, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators said they found evidence linking Ollie’s 17-year-old grandson, Jadynn Hamilton, to the crime.
He seems like a nice, well adjusted young man with a bright future! The local White sheriff knows what’s up….
“This is a tragedy of the worst kind because you’ve got a beloved church member, family member and community member killed and you come to find out within 24 hours she was killed by another beloved family member,” Monroe County Sheriff Kevin Crook told the Monroe Journal.
“If somebody is not able to control their impulses and they reach that point, I don’t think it really matters who the victim is at the time. If it got them to that level of anger, they’re going to lash out at whoever – it just happened to be his grandmother.”
There is that genetic lack of impulse control on display. I wonder what set him off? Maybe he is bitter about having what sounds sort of like a stripper name…
