A young Amish couple that I know quite well is getting married this week. I have known both of them for going on a decade, back when they were still in their teens, and used to tease them about liking each other. Well now they are getting hitched!
That means posting might be kinda spotty this week. For a plain and simple people Amish weddings are an enormous undertaking and I am going to be busy running back and forth on and off all week. I was gone the better part of 6 hours today just doing wedding stuff.
So, do you get them a toaster?
Almost sounds like an utopia.
Congratulations to the happy couple, and may many children come their way!

Have fun!
May good genes carry them far.
Observing the Amish in my neck of the woods, they don’t appear to be doing very well genetically. Living so insularly, for so long, has kept them from restocking their gene pool, and it shows in their physiognomy.
Yea and the way they do add to the gene pool is rather gross…It involves a sheet and the local college boys and shekelz of course…
Do Amish women exhibit hypergamy like virtually every other female biped on the planet? Does Hannah ever get resentful, noticing that Josiah’s horse cart is flashier than her man’s modest ride? Does she sometimes wonder what’s behind Isaac’s buttons, or if maybe flashing a little ankle might catch Elijah’s eye?
Everything I know about Mennonites I learned from Weird Al’s ‘Amish Paradise’, so forgive my crass impertinence. Sometimes my inner smartass gets the better of me.
Its always good to be in with the folks that know how to do stuff. May God bless their union with a dozen White babies or more.
It is refreshing to realize that One Pureblood + One Pureblood = Multiple Shiny New Purebloods.
For as long as they care to do so. Congrats & all Blessings upon the Pureblood couple!
Great! More power (and white kids) to them!
Have a good time Mr. Sido. It’s always nice to hear about young Whytte people getting ready to make lotsa Whytte babies!
