When we talk about 2G gun violence it is understandable that we focus on the big cities like Chicago with their eye-popping murder totals, see Lucky Number 13!. That isn’t really fair to the hard work being put in by the 2Gs in smaller cities. It is time I rectify this injustice.
A question came to me regarding the murder rate in the American Kinshasa, aka Jackson, Mississippi and how it compared to these larger cities. I did a little research on Jackson and other small-to-mid sized cities (at least 130,000 people) and what I found was hardly surprising.
Jackson’s homicides drop for third straight year, but rate of killings remains highest in the U.S.
The relatively small city of Jackson, Mississippi, proud capital of the Magnolia State, boasts the highest murder rate of any smaller city according to that study. Despite being the state capital, Jackson has a relatively small population of under 160,000, although the Jackson metro area has around 600,000 people. For a relatively small city and the state capital to boot Jackson is something of a slaughterhouse.
Since 2021, Jackson’s homicide numbers have dropped each year for three years straight.
Jackson closed out 2024 with 111 homicides; of those, the Jackson Police Department worked 104, and Capitol Police handled seven.
That also marks a six percent decline from 2023’s numbers, where 118 people were killed.
The city’s homicide numbers have been decreasing each year since 2021, when Jackson had the highest number of killings in its history at 160.
Since those record numbers, Jackson’s homicide rate has remained highest in the nation each year — including 2024 — when compared to similar-sized and major cities, according to a 3 On Your Side analysis of dozens of cities and their reported crimes.
In 2021 Jackson saw 160 murders and with a population of under 160,000 that would mean that one out of every 1,000 people in Jackson was murdered in 2021. That this didn’t make national news tells you an awful lot about the how the Lügenpresse covers up black crime.
The article provided a chart of murder rates among cities of a similar size as Jackson, I took the liberty of adding a column to represent the percentage of blacks in each of the cities on the list (*using the most recent demographic data on Wikipedia).
Ranking | City | Total number of homicides | Homicide rate per 100k | black Share of pop.* |
1 | Jackson | 111 | 77.24 | 78.55% |
2 | Birmingham | 151 | 76.79 | 68.12% |
3 | Louisville, KY | 145 | 58.9 | 23.23% |
4 | St. Louis | 148 | 52.53 | 42.77% |
5 | Memphis | 299 | 48.33 | 61.28% |
6 | Baton Rouge | 80 | 36.43 | 53.55% |
7 | Baltimore | 201 | 35.56 | 62.40% |
8 | Detroit | 200 | 31.58 | 77.17% |
9 | New Orleans | 115 | 31.58 | 53.61% |
10 | Cleveland, OH | 105 | 28.95 | 47.50% |
No surprise, in 7 out of the 10 cities listed blacks are an absolute majority of the population and with Jackson and Detroit in those cities blacks are more than three-quarters of the total. Louisville is something of an outlier with a population less than one-quarter black but having done some casual observation it is still the case that the vast majority of homicides in Louisville are committed by blacks.
You wouldn’t think it but small cities like Jackson, MS and Birmingham, AL are at least on paper far more dangerous than big cities like New York and L.A. Even Chicongo with over 500 murders last year is relatively safe at least from a homicide standpoint as long as you aren’t black or mestizo, although there are plenty of other violent crimes like carjacking, robbery and rape that make many Chicago zip codes No-Go Zones for Whites. Thanks to the high density of blacks, smaller cities like Jackson and Birmingham boast staggering murder rates.
For some perspective, while Chicago had the most homicides last year with 573 that “only” worked out to 21.5 homicides per 100,000 people. If Chicago experienced homicide at the same rate as Jackson, there would have been over 2,000 murders last year in the Woundy City. By contrast a city like Manchester, New Hampshire that is overwhelmingly White and has a population of around 114,000 had only 5 murders the entire year.
To summarize: It isn’t the size of the city that makes it more or less dangerous, it is the percentage of blacks to be found.
I hear that Birmingham is seeing a big influx of south asians and such. Seems significant insofar as those folks might be less tolerant of the negros than whites have ben.
The homicide numbers are becoming less and less relevant as a measure of black dysfunction due to rapid advances in modern medicine that keep more potential murder victims alive. Although interesting, statistically, I tend to bypass the death counts and focus on the number of people shot, as well as the number of shots fired. If blacks were able to aim before firing, and if hospitals were not so proficient at keeping the wounded from dying, those murder stats would soar. That one in a thousand city residents murdered equates to something like one in a hundred residents shot.
Slightly off topic, this post made me wonder (and then look up) what constitutes a city/town/small town by US metrics. Plus so many suburban ‘towns’ may be independent political entities, but still part of an overall metro area. Our former DFW residence was one such – when we first moved there one could still find empty spaces and distinguish between ‘cities,’ but now it’s just endless suburban sprawl for miles. One of my son’s friends in private Christian middle school lived way out in the country (by our definition) outside of a small town of about 3800 – which now (20 years later) is one of the fastest growing in the US with a population of over 43,000. Endless immigration has pushed Whites to spread further and further out to find/establish safer and more homogeneous communities, swallowing up acres of farmland and just increasing congestion and sprawl.
People have gotten so accustomed to being surrounded by millions of other people – yet it’s totally unnatural and utterly dependent on complex infrastructure and transportation. Just thinking about it, and trying to get through the inevitable traffic jam in the event of any sort of trouble got me into an endless mindloop. Just the sheer distance – on foot or even bicycle – to get away from thousands of people – began to seem insurmountable. Everytime we go back to visit now, both my husband and I feel crowded and surrounded. The endless traffic and alien faces and tongues.
So now I don’t have multiple (aging) malls to visit, or half a dozen of the same big box store to choose from 25 miles in any direction. And I’m okay with it. I would have to start gardening to cut my weekly shopping trips for fresh produce down to biweekly/monthly, but I’m still just driving to our very small town where I can get farm fresh eggs. One guy drives up weekly in the late spring/early summer from downstate with first of the season’s farm-grown strawberries to sell – expensive but the flavor is unmatched. We live half a mile from our nearest neighbor and no one can see in our windows (except possibly someone from across a distant ridge using a powerful telescope).
We’ve come to love the privacy and quiet and safety here. The more people – and the more diversity – the greater the chance for conflict. White people need their own space. There are some people at the other end of our dirt road who I would not want as ‘neighbors’ – their acreage is filled with trash and old vehicles. But they’re a mile away and don’t bother me, and I don’t bother them. And we don’t even have or need any fences – just space and trees. The homicide rate for our entire county was 8 in 100,000 about 5 years ago. Higher property crime (rural opioids) but overall we feel safe and secure. Our neighbors still leave their house unlocked if they go away for a week; our history of living in cities and suburbs makes us uncomfortable with that, but they know we and others keep an eye on who drives all the way out here to the end of the road. Needless to say, no 2Gs out here, although I occasionally do see one in town and it always ruins my day.
I can’t remember which of the Xer pundits said it, so I can’t give appropriate credit, but it goes something like: “The American Dream has turned into accumulating enough wealth to escape the consequences of the Civil Rights Act.”
Like you we have lived out in the sticks a long time, but having lived lotsa years in the suburbs still don’t feel comfortable being lax about security issues. And there are occasionally episodes of meth-gone-wild in our county…mostly thefts. We do have enough of our neighbors’ cell phone numbers to call up and say “hey, there’s some headlights roaming around your west pasture. Is that you guys?” or whatever like that. Of course the phone numbers also helped get the word out when the torn-atoes came blowing through a couple nights ago. And that’s all I wanted to say-to anyone reading this that might be new to country life-get to know enough neighbors so that you can all work together to keep it safe.
Hope you made it through that storm unscathed. Us suburban folks up this way had a pretty nasty tangle with it. Lots of damage around (thankfully me and mine were spared anything significant, just a lot of tree debris scattered around) and probably the most intense sustained hail I’ve ever seen, which is saying something considering some of the hail storms I’ve witnessed.
Also the most ridiculous overuse of tornado sirens yet, must’ve gone off 10-12 seperate times in under 2 hours. Since the policy now is to sound them whenever a tornado warning is issued in any adjacent county, they are triggered far too often IMHO, and I can tell people are already discounting their importance due to overuse when unwarranted.
God took care of us. Watched on radar imaging as huge cells split in half as they approached our area so the tornadoes missed us. We got some rain and a few smaller branches on the ground. Crazy, crazy.
Man glad I don’t have to worry about that because that’s one thing you really can’t prepare for unless you live in an underground bunker…Glad you both made it through unscathed…
Thank you brother.
What do you offer? I
mean really, other than your words of wisdom. Which, ain’t wisdom. It’s more or less “ run to the hills “ Dude, if we had I’d it your way we would all be hiding is a spiders den. Why not call em out every chance we got and shut shit down?
Quit being a nigger and learn how to read, and form a sentence…You have lived too long amongst them and now you act one…That’s my advice to you…
Please elaborate on your situation. I would like to be educated on building a bunker absolute of any and all undesirables. Asking for a friend.
That 77.24 per 100k *almost* puts Jackson right on par with Juarez, which is the #10 city on the murders per capita list for 2024.
https://www.statista.com/statistics/243797/ranking-of-the-most-dangerous-cities-in-the-world-by-murder-rate-per-capita/
Imagine that: Jackson is every bit the battleground that Cuidad Juarez is famous for being, with around 1 murder every 3 days in a city of 160k people…. and it is simply not reported on.
Interestingly, Mexico has 7 out of the top 10, including #1, even managing to surpass Port-au-Prince, Haiti. (I have to wonder how accurate the crime reporting out of Haiti is, honestly.)
The Latinos can be every bit as dangerous, so even though the 2Gs are the top perpetrators in the US keep your eyes open for cartel violence as well. I believe the USSOC is now involved in hunting down the fentanyl supply chain in Mexico, and the cartels are fully capable of doing stupid things, such as acting like real terrorists against the US.
Stay strapped or get clapped.
And for goodness sakes, train with it.

Looking at the list of those 5 murders it appears one was by a black guy who murdered a woman during a home invasion and 2 are murders of women by their white meth head boyfriends. One is a guy who killed his 5 year old and one i could not find pics of the murderer.
So in a city with 4.25% blacks they still managed to commit 20+% of the homicides.
Could be a nice city except for the far left politics of the voters
If you have a crime problem, you have a “minorities” problem. I see it in my little burg; Folsom went from white bread country to moving “minorities” into the new public housing, with the adjunct flies starting to settle. Drugs, robberies, street crazy behavior; we don’t need to import it anymore. BUT -scream the normies- we have Intel and other real smart businesses. Yes, and we have plenty of Hindus to fill those positions. Whites need their own country. There is no melting pot-in any successful country on earth. People of the same genetic persuasion can move from England to Italy to Greece but Africa to anywhere does not translate. Except into misery.
Arthur, you never cease to inform us. I have had mixed relaxation with blacks. Their were some I would have fought to the death to protect and defend, a pair of older women, one who became a 2nd Mother to me. Otherwise they have no concern to me. If they chose to have their towns resemble Stalingrad during WW2, so be it!. Just leave White people out of it, Thank you, but no thank you.
Ammo drops. These people need more ammo!
I’d call my hometown not the American Kinshasa but the American Johannesburg. It was a nice place to live in the Sixties and Seventies. Then the old Ross Barnett Democrats were replaced by soft on crime liberals. Middle class people began moving to Rankin and Madison counties. The minority agitators finally got their wish and took charge of the City.
I and most of my classmates moved out of state to find jobs. I went back to visit family a few years ago and the city was unrecognizable. Trash everywhere in what used to be nice neighborhoods, the old upscale malls vacant, the whole place looked dirty.
Jackson is also where the city government in charge of water purification had replaced the competent ‘racists’ with people who looked like them and the Corps of Engineers had to be called in to fix things.
You can truly never go home again.
