What is less well known is that Biden was a moron long before his mind turned into tapioca. The guy was a joke and became Vice President because he was old and White and presented no threat to Barack Obama, unlike say Hilary Clinton who would have undercut Barry at every step. Biden was just happy to be there and given the opportunity to molest little girls on stage while selling influence and access to corrupt regimes like Ukraine via his crackhead son Hunter.
That raises the question, who has been running the show since January of 2021 as it clearly was not Pedo Joe Biden? No, it was not Obama. Barry wasn’t even running things when he was in office, he was an empty suit, a mere puppet that was controlled by Others. Those same Others are still running the show behind the scenes.
The Oval Office being basically unoccupied has led to a very weird state of affairs. Normally after a new President-elect wins, he quietly assembles his team and gets prepared for the transition of power. Trump? He is acting as though he is already President, stepping into the power void left behind by the withered husk known as Joe Biden. World leaders, political and business alike, are coming to visit him with my favorite being Canada’s Justin Trudeau who was forced to come in humiliation to bend the knee before Trump only to have Trump make fun of him and now troll him by calling him “Governor Trudeau”. While the current Resident is absent, not just in mind but in body, Trump is negotiating deals and making threats. Canada and Mexico are facing major tariffs and Trump seems pretty intent on using those tariff threats to get his way with our neighbors, along with China and the European Union. Trump seems to get what no one else has for all of these years: access to our markets is more critical to these countries than access to their cheap consumer goods.
More than a month before the inauguration and Trump is running the show more than Biden did for four years combined. Sure Trump is having his strings pulled by various Zionists and others but it is far less obvious anyway while Biden often seems to actually have strings being manipulated on stage by a puppeteer.
Look at the “debt ceiling crisis”.
Political junkies know that every year or so we get the kabuki theater in D.C. surrounding the “debt ceiling”. The debt ceiling, assume scare quotes going forward, is perhaps the biggest pile of steaming bullshit in a city rife with bullshit theater. It has never actually stopped Congress from spending more money but it does give them an excuse to go on C-SPAN and rail against the other side. The script is utterly predictable. The debt ceiling bullshit deadline approaches. Democrats demand a bunch of spending in order to kick the can down the road for another year or two. Republicans pretend to push back leading to the media breathlessly talking about a “government shutdown” where the government keeps collecting taxes and all of the really “essential” functions of the Federal government keep operating while the “non-essential” workers get a few days off, days they will get paid for anyway despite not working. Republicans quickly cave so as not to be held responsible for a government shut down that most Americans are perfectly OK with.
This year was going according to plan with a “continuing resolution” stuffed full of bullshit including making it harder to look into the January 6th commission farce. The script was unfolding right on schedule and then….
Trump started raising a fuss and suddenly there weren’t enough votes to pass the more than fifteen hundred page bill. Then Israel-First Speaker Mike Johnson tried a very pared down bill of only 116 pages and that went down in flames with 38 Republicans joining Democrats to vote it down: NOPE: Trump-Backed Funding Bill Fails House Vote As 38 Republicans Say ‘No’.
Now they are trying to pass it in pieces with each significant part being given up or down votes, and that is how it should be in the first place: GOP To Split Bill, Hold Separate Votes; Still Working On Debt Limit
They will eventually capitulate like they always do but it has been super amusing to watch Trump already causing chaos in D.C., disrupting their little games a bit and making them uncomfortable. If nothing else Trump is an agent of chaos and disruption. I am sure the Swamp will get back on track shortly and start to block everything he is trying to do but for now it is pretty funny.
Not so funny is that we are charging headlong toward $40 trillion in debt with another $75 trillion in unfunded mandated spending.
Elon and D.O.G.E. trimming the obvious fat won’t make a difference and sooner or later the system will collapse on itself. One can only imagine what They might have in store for next year to hasten the collapse.
Twenty years ago, I wrote an opinion column for the local newspaper that appeared every other week. It lasted almost three years before we parted ways, my opinions being deemed a little too un-PC. Prior to that I did essentially the same thing, only it was a regular commentary on our NPR affiliate station. That lasted six years, the management there refusing to cave, on the occasions my opinion caused some ruffled feathers. (That would no longer be the case, I have no doubt.)
Point, though, is that I answered all my correspondence from listeners/readers, and I became friends with several of them. One was an ‘old school’ center left liberal, and we found many points of agreement, along with many on which we diverged. Unfortunately, he had a horrible, pussy hat-wearing wife, and he eventually succumbed to TDS, as well.
When I told him, just prior to the inauguration, that Biden was in the early stages of dementia, he told me I was the crazy one. I told him that I could already see some deterioration just since the Democratic primary debates the year before, and that it would progress reasonably quickly to the point where he wouldn’t be able to hide it.
I can’t gloat about being right, though, as he is no longer around, having passed away “unexpectedly” last year. Unfortunately, he was also wrong about the ‘vaccines…’
What I believe needs to be a priority in the new government is an investigation of members of the Biden administration for their willfully and actively concealing the incapacity of Biden, so unelected and unaccountable people could UNCONSTITUTIONALLY run the government on their own.
That has all the hallmarks of a treasonous and coup-like adventure, and they should not be able to just sail off into the sunset after having pulled off such a criminal travesty and fraud upon the American people and the world.
Heads should roll.
And now the threat is being leveled that failing to pass the CR that leads to a govt shutdown will imperil the smooth transfer of power to Trump’s incoming administration. So, they’ve effectively given themselves another ace in the hole to play.
I don’t think anyone can truly appreciate or anticipate the number of sneakyroadblocks and secret “bombs” have been placed into the system during pedo joey’s term, just to fuck things up out of pure spitefulness.
Curious that they are coming out with this “revelation” now. Anyone with vision better than Ray Charles could see J’Biden [K. Harris Translation] was a few fries short of a happy meal during the campaign. It’s been obvious to certainly everyone here, though the media covered it up dutifully. It’s truly fascinating to see them all turn on him now. Perhaps trying to get out of the blast radius if an investigation ever kicks off. I know…I know… But, a guy can dream.
A couple of fries short? Hell, joey shitpants IS the happy meal: the product of an extensive marketing campaign that caused many people to purchase a grossly overpriced, yet inferior product that is actively harmful to children.
