This is one of those stories where I assumed it was a 2G when I first heard it, then thought maybe it was a White guy when I saw their name but finally got a mugshot to affirm my initial impulse.
Roasted corn stand worker with lengthy criminal history accused in Indiana State Fair stabbing
Recently filed court documents detail how free corn giveaways led to a stabbing this weekend at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, sending one concession worker to the hospital.
Steven T. Mimms, 37, of Indianapolis, was arrested over the weekend on preliminary charges of attempted murder, escaping home detention and resisting law enforcement. He is now being held in Marion County Jail as he awaits official charges.

It gets even better. The stabbing victim is his nephew….
The victim, a manager at the roasted sweet corn stand, said he began the day having issues with his uncle, who also worked at the stand. He said his uncle “Stevie” had been giving away free corn to customers and that he confronted Stevie about it. Stevie was later identified as Mimms.
The stand manager said Mimms began making threats to kill him and his family and kept asking to meet the manager in the parking lot. He said the altercation lasted throughout the day, with the two exchanging words behind the stand as they worked.
Toward the end of the day, the victim said Mimms continued to give out free food and make verbal threats. Then, when he turned away from Mimms, the victim said he was struck in the face and felt a cut on his right shoulder.
Witnesses said they saw Mimms grab a box cutter used to shuck corn from a nearby table and stab the victim with it. They said Mimms then ran away from the scene.
2G family values, amirite! Nothing gets them all riled up quite like roasted corn. Anyway, when they say he has a “lengthy criminal history”, they ain’t just a whistlin’ Dixie….
There is no good reason that this POS is still breathing, much less allowed to await trial on home detention. He should have been swinging at least as far back as 2006, ever since turning 18 he has been committing violent crimes and it is reasonable to assume he was doing the same as a juvenile urban yoof.
The criminal “justice” system is a particularly unfunny joke.
