While I haven’t been to a movie theater in a very long time, I still occasionally watch movies as soon as they become available for downloading, and I keep an eye on the entertainment industry as a whole as it gives a lot of clues about what is going on in society and is one of the primary engines of cultural degradation. I also enjoy The Critical Drinker, Dave Cullen and Nerdrotic on Youtube as their videos are often more entertaining than the movies or TV shows themselves.
I often have no idea what is even playing in theaters on a given day but I noticed the other day that the latest superhero slop release did surprisingly well: Spider-Man: Brand New Day. This is the newest installment of the Spider-Man franchise featuring Tom Holland, appearing not just in Spider-Man movies but also in the Avengers series so he has been associated with a bunch of very (financially) successful films.
It could have been just another in a forgettable series of cape-crap slop movies, especially as it features Zendaya who has all of the charm and acting range of a turnip and is one of the greatest downgrades in cinema history when compared as Peter Parker’s love interest to Kirsten Dunst.
Dunst is a believable, girl-next-door, cutie pie. Zendaya has all of the raw smoldering sexuality of a cinder block.
I haven’t watched it yet, I might at some point, but it is widely praised for being a solid action flick. What was really stunning was how fast it hit a billion dollars in box office globally and it sits as of today at over $1.6 billion. This stands in marked contrast to another recent superhero movie, Supergirl.
Supergirl has set a new standard for being a huge flop. It ended it’s theater run having made only $125 million globally, even less than the widely acclaimed cinematic triumph Shazam! Fury of the Gods. The film “stars” Milly Alcock, who should be doing softcore with a name like that, as Kara Zor-El aka “Supergirl”. She looks young so she is playing the role of an angsty young woman who lives on a planet with a red sun so her powers are muted and she can get drunk and hang out with her dog. No, that is seriously how the movie starts.
I downloaded it just for fun and it is one of the most awful movies I have ever experienced so….not fun after all. The plot makes no sense, the villain is one of the least interesting bad guys in film history, Alcock is terrible as is everyone else in the film. I managed to force myself to watch half of the film before I couldn’t stand it anymore.
What is galling is that it isn’t like they don’t know better. They do this crap intentionally. The formula is simple and making movies that earn a ton of money should be like printing money.
They don’t have to make great movies to pull in a billion dollars. They just have to make movies that are not intentionally garbage.
Look at some billion dollar box office earners. At the top of the list is Avatar at $2.9 billion from 2009, that is like $4.5 billion in 2026 dollars. Yet I challenge you to remember what it was about other than some blue people. I watched it once and have absolutely no desire to watch it again. Ever. The sequel Avatar: The Way of Water, made $2.3 billion and I don’t have any idea what it was about. The rest of the list is a bunch of superhero slop and some cartoons like Zootopia 2, Inside Out 2 and Frozen/Frozen II.
Another on the list is 2022’s Top Gun: Maverick. I reviewed it here, Film Review: Top Gun Maverick, but long story short it was a pretty silly movie with lots of nostalgia bait and fan service, and it still made almost $1.5 billion. It was touted by normiecons as the ultimate “anti-woke” film but as I pointed out in my review….it had plenty of woke but it was more subtle and hidden behind fighter jets and flag waving.
They could crank out a couple more of those films using the same formula and bang out a billion bucks each no problem, even with paying Tom Cruise a hunnerd million per film since his extensive plastic surgery and probably drinking the blood of infants will keep him looking the same until he is 95.
Instead they bank the billion from superhero slop movies, mostly from the pockets of White guys, and then use those funds to subsidize their anti-White, degenerate and subversive propaganda that doesn’t even pretend to be “entertainment”.
Every day reminds us that the “Red Scare” and Hollywood purges were justified and Joseph McCartney was right about everything.
Hymiewood made another movie? Glad I didn’t miss anything.

I have one of the last drive-in theaters in the nation near me. This week they are playing spiderman and super troopers 3. If the weather holds, (its been a bad weather week), Im taking the truck, a zero gravity chair and the dog and sit in the back of the truck. Just like old times, except my parents wont be sneaking me and my sisters in while in the trunk so they didnt have to pay for us. Lol. The good ole days.

Last movie theater show we.saw was Young Washington. We enjoyed it immensely as well.as a the others that packed the theater at 1045pm.

Young Washington was a terrific movie! The theater in California was crowded and people actually watched the movie. Worth owning for the SHTF world we are headed to. What a country we started out to be!!

The last movie I saw in a theater was “See No Evil, Hear No Evil” with Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor. Pretty sure that was 1989. Since then, I’ve generally shunned Hollywood bullshit, and the “move going experience” with it’s overpriced tickets and concessions, mouthy disruptive nigs, and other assorted assholes who apparently frequent movie theatres these days.
It aids my boycott that there is virtually nothing made in the last 15-20 years that even appeals to my taste in movies. For those older movies that were made before everything went to shit, I have DVD’s I can watch on my own terms.
I did see Pacific Rim with my boys and their buddy, that was mindless fun. Before that was the True Grit remake
Every dime you spend on a film at a theater goes directly into the coffers of those who promote White hatred, the LGBTQ+ agenda, and the destruction of America. The only exceptions are the Faith-based productions of ANGEL, and individuals such as Kirk Cameron, his sister Candace, and Kevin Sorbo. Plan accordingly.
Yea true that and every Direct TV, Comcast, Netflix,Disney etc etc and yet I would say a lot of our side still pays for at least one of them…
