An Alabama woman has been arrested on a felony intimidation charge after allegedly pulling out a butcher knife and threatening to “cut” a man during a road rage incident in Carmel.
Jamericah Odum, 32, of Tuscaloosa, was arrested last Friday and booked into the Hamilton County Jail on a $25,000 bond. She has since been officially charged with intimidation, disorderly conduct and resisting law enforcement.

The charges stem from an alleged road rage incident that happened just before noon on July 17. Court records detail how a man called police and said that a woman had threatened him after pulling up next to his car at the intersection of 116th Street and AAA Way.
The alleged victim told police that the woman, later identified as Odum, was driving a gray 2015 Chrysler 200 with an Alabama license plate. Odum reportedly rolled down her window and showed the man a butcher knife, waving it at him as she yelled.
“If you ever get in front of me again, I’ll cut you!” she allegedly said.
Court documents describe the butcher knife used by Odum as being nearly a foot long with an 8-inch blade. She reportedly “waved it in a threatening motion” before parking at the busy intersection, getting out of her car and taking pictures of the victim’s car and license plate.
This happened in the genteel town of Carmel, Indiana (75% White, 3% black, 12% Asian, median household income over $130,000, media home price over $450,000). Carmel is one of the those affluent-but-guilty-about-it White suburbs that pretends to be socially aware while making sure they don’t have many actual black lives around to matter.
Had this ‘boon rolled down her window and waved a knife in a threatening manner in most of Indiana she would have discovered the truth of “Ain’t that just like a porch monkey, bringing a knife to a gun fight”.
Time to reverse the “Great Migration” and send these 2Gs back where they came from.
