Docs: Father-son duo responsible for shooting death of Yorktown High School football standout Chris Wilson Jr.
The kid they shot, Christopher Wilson Jr. formerly of Yorktown High (82% White, top 20% in Indiana) in Yorktown, Indiana, was a porch monkey of course but he was headed to West Virginia and was quite a prospect.
Anyway, the dad was arrested last week maybe and they just grabbed the son who fled to Detroit, figuring what better place to blend in than a city full of black violent felons.
According to a release from the Muncie Police Department, its detectives — alongside members of the Detroit, Michigan, Violent Gang Task Force — arrested 17-year-old Dairus E. Thompson III on Thursday. Thompson III is still in Michigan awaiting extradition to Indiana….
…According to an affidavit for probable cause filed Tuesday, Thompson III and his father, Dairus Thompson II, are responsible for Wilson’s death.
The 17 year old caught a murder charge as he was the “alleged” shooter, while daddy got hit with “aiding, inducing or causing murder”. From what I gather, the dad had a “beef” and enlisted his li’l cricket to do the shooting, giving him the sort of fatherly advice I am sure we all heard from our own fathers at 17 on the cusp on manhood:
Police’s forensic analysis of Thompson II’s phone turned up a video that appeared to be recorded from the Acadia the night of the shooting. Court records indicate that, in the video, Thompson II can be heard “talking about how to conduct a drive-by shooting and (giving) step-by-step instructions on how to do so.”
He took a video of himself instructing his son, a minor, to commit murder and if that isn’t dumb enough he kept the video on his phone? Maybe he deleted it but they could recover the video or he didn’t know to empty the trash?
You might think this story can’t get any more retarded but you would be wrong. Oh so very wrong. Here comes the money shot….
During their investigation, Muncie police officers determined Wilson’s death was likely a case of mistaken identity. According to court records, Thompson II was engaged in an ongoing dispute with an individual who closely resembles Wilson in the days leading up to Oct. 5.
Damn, dey all look the same even to other blacks!
Then to the delight of his future public defender….
One witness told police Thompson II had said Wilson’s death was a mistake. The witness added that Thompson II admitted to thinking Wilson was the person he had previously been beefing with.
Maybe Daddy Dairus should not discuss murders he is involved in with quite so many people? Also, instead of ditching the gun his son used to murder someone he…..traded it to someone else with instructions to get rid of it. That did not happen…
Court records suggest that Thompson II told one witness he “let lil bros rockout.” The witness told police he believed that Thompson II was saying he had Thompson III execute the drive-by shooting.
Witnesses also told officers that Thompson II and Thompson III tried to trade the gun they used during the shooting after Oct. 5. One witness reported that Thompson II told them to “get rid of it.”
Police later located the gun Thompson II had tried to get rid of. It was a match for the spent ammunition investigators found at the shooting scene.
Granted I am not an experienced drive-by killer of people that sort of look like different people I am not fond of but if I had shot and killed someone I sure as hell would get rid of the gun, like permanently.
Anyway, Baby Dairus is going down for murder and Daddy Dairus for a whole slew of charges that basically are as bad as pulling the trigger that include things like child abuse, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, etc.
Turns out this is not the first time Daddy Dairus has “let lil bros rockout”! Try to untangle this last part….
Previous reporting indicates Thompson II had previously been arrested on Oct. 14. He was arrested on a firearms charge related to the September shooting death of 31-year-old Tomerious T. Smoots in Anderson.
Jovonte Day-Jahn Larry, a 17-year-old from Noblesville, was charged with murder in Smoots’ death. Larry is the brother of 15-year-old Jo’Maijze Larry, who has ties to the Mickey Cobra Nation gang.
Jo’Maijze Larry is currently incarcerated for his role in the shooting death of Dayla Swain in Anderson. Eight individuals with ties to MCN were charged in relation to her death.
This crap all happened in Indiana. Here is 15 year old Jo’Mazje Larry who won the grand prize of a cool century in jail….

Eight alleged gang members have been charged for their roles in a botched hit that left a woman dead in Anderson in 2025.
According to court records, Ja’Brawll Thomas, Kyree Craver, Rashawn Samuels, Rejon Smith, Jo’Majze Larry, Geno Moffett, Javeayon Johnson and Javeaian Johnson are implicated in the February 2025 shooting death of 26-year-old Dayla Swain.
Another botched hit! They were shooting at someone else, a witness to the killing of a whole different 2G named Julian Craig, but hit Dayla Swain…
…as she fell after being shot the intended target then ran over her legs in his truck. Back to Julian Craig. According to I assume his mama, he wuz the goodest of good boys, just a baby who was brilliant and had endless potential….
“He was a baby he had the rest of his whole life. Now he wont. I can’t live with that. My baby had so much potential. He was so brilliant. I don’t ever get to kiss him, or touch him, or feel his face again,” Denium said.
Except that according to police her brilliant baby was killed during a botched robbery…
Officials said that Harris and Julian Craig met a person outside a home on West 15th Street in Anderson. When the other person entered the vehicle that Harris and Craig were in, Harris attempted to rob him, saying “run that.” Craig, who was laying in the back of the vehicle, reportedly sat up and pointed the gun at the person.
A gunfight then occurred, officials said. Craig fired four rounds and the other person fired another round. The documents said that the person dropped his gun and ran away from the vehicle.
Officials said that Craig was shot in the chest and Harris brought him to the hospital. Craig was later pronounced dead. In a search of Harris’ home, officials located “at least 25 grams of a substance which was preliminarily identified to contain Fentanyl.”
What a good boy, he wuz jus’ robbing that fool cuz he needed cash to buy a new physics textbook!

Anyway, I included all of that because you don’t often get to see the connections between the killings.
Now Daddy Dairus and Baby Dairus are finna spend the rest of dey natural born lives in the same penitentiary. Maybe they will let them be cellies? If nothing else you can be sure they will get to celebrate birthdays, Father’s day, Kwanzaa and Juneteenth together for a good long time.
As I like to say, the only worse for a black kid than growing up without his father in his life is to grow up with his father in his life.
