Police arrest 11 after fight at St. Catharine FunFest in Columbus

These festivals at Catholic churches are a big fundraiser for them and they plan for them all year, but this one was forced to shut down because of teen shenanigans.

A fight broke out at the annual St. Catherine’s FunFest on June 5, forcing an early closure of the popular community event and the clearing of people from the church grounds in Columbus, near its border with Bexley.

Around 500-800 middle and high schoolers were “just hanging around talking to their friends, others rough housing a little bit but mostly just being boisterous teenagers” at or near the event, when several group fights broke out around 7 p.m. Bexley Mayor Ben Kessler posted June 6 on Facebook….

…After Bexley and Columbus police ordered the remaining crowd to leave, a large group of teens went into CVS, where a theft was reported, said Kessler, who was at the scene. Someone vandalized a watermelon box at the Giant Eagle, and police arrested “a handful” of people on suspicion of vandalism.

Columbus police arrested several people they allege started the initial fight, Kessler said. In total, police arrested 11 people in connection with the fight and its aftermath.

JFC, that explains a lot. She was appointed in 2021. Gee Wally, what was going on in 2021….something to do with a certain fella that claimed he couldn’t breathe or something? She was chosen in large part to “strengthen public trust in our division of police”, code for “listen to blacks bitch about being arrested for committing crimes”.
