Couple crashes car into restaurant during argument, police say
The Memphis Police Department has arrested and charged a couple accused of crashing into a restaurant and causing thousands of dollars in damage.
On May 26, officers responded to an aggravated assault call at the Mariscos El Gallo Giro restaurant on Lamar Avenue.
When officers arrived, they spoke with a witness who informed them that she noticed a burgundy vehicle driving erratically in the parking lot.
According to the affidavit, when the witness yelled for the car to slow down, the driver accelerated towards her and crashed into the building.
Officers say that there was $15,000 worth of damage done to the building; two women, Anitria Harris and Alycia Upshaw, were both identified as suspects.
MPD later learned that the two suspects were a couple, and they were having an argument prior to crashing into the building.
Well you just know from a) the events, b) the names and c) being in Memphis what we are in for…

…and when you add in the violent tendencies of black women, you have a pretty combustible mix.
I am sure these lovely ladies are financially responsible so they will make the restaurant whole for any damages caused…..
