In the emotionally overheated screaming from both sides, an important question is being skipped right over:
Why are these people interfering with ICE in the first place?
Despite the silly rhetoric, ICE is not just rounding people up. I wish they were but the deportation numbers demonstrate that very few people are actually being deported. So what gives?
Renee Good and Alex Pretti were shot at the tail end of a long series of decisions that culminated in them trying to interfere with law enforcement enforcing the law. At least in the case of Alex “Pretti Gay Looking” Pretti the target of ICE was a man wanted for domestic violence, presumably for smacking around a woman.
That doesn’t seem to matter to the people who are “protesting”. In fact they seem awfully selective regarding which criminals they protect and those they don’t.
Would these people show up to stop some huckleberry local sheriff from arresting a White guy named Bubba in a trailer park who was smacking around his wife?
Of course not.
So why are they trying to stop ICE from arresting a man who is not only here illegally but also wanted for domestic violence with intent to harm? Their reasons are transparent and not at all complex, nor are they rooted in some sort of superior morality. It entirely comes down to this:
The people ICE is after aren’t White and ICE is part of the Trump administration.
That is it. That is entirely it.
Mostly White leftists are putting their lives on the line for non-Whites who wouldn’t lift a finger to aid them. They are doing so because they have been taught to hate themselves for being White, then projected that hatred at Trump who is the proxy for every White person that doesn’t hate themselves.
It is the same racial self-hatred that caused so many Whites to weep uncontrollably and rend their garments when George Floyd died, a man that was an awful human being who was resisting arrest after committing a crime, a man that most of these self-hating Whites would go out of their way to avoid.
Being able to step back from the Current Thing To Be Outraged About is important. When you dig a little bit and stop and think, what is happening in Minneapolis right now is not much different from what happened in 2020 and the race riots in the 1960s and the military forcing White kids at bayonet point to attend school with blacks.
If you are willing to put your life on the line in order to protect a criminal that beats women just because that criminal is not White and you hate Orange Man Bad? Well, I don’t feel even a tiny shred of remorse over you getting shot.
Machinegun the mobs where they stand, leave the corpses as a warning and move on to the next mob of enemy combatants. That’s what they are.
