In a conversation recently I recalled that I first started blogging back when blogging was a pretty new medium. My first ever blog post was on March 19th of 2004 so I have been blogging for coming up on 22 years.
22 years is a long time but it still feels like I am fumbling around when it comes to blogging.
For around the first 2/3 of that time one issue probably more than any other dominated my blogging: abortion.
That is not unusual for people who were like me, by any measure a Christian fundamentalist who saw abortion as murder. I still hold that view although my position is more nuanced than it used to be. I am a father of 8 children and although they are all adults now I remember the thrill of seeing those early ultrasounds, grainy as they were, and hearing the sound of a human heart beating inside my wife’s womb. I won’t rehash the arguments about abortion here, suffice it to say that it was the single issue I considered the most important from a political standpoint along with many millions of other pro-life voters.
When Roe was overturned by the Dobbs decision, it was celebrated by millions and millions of others were horrified. Regardless of your position on abortion a rational person should realize that Roe was a terrible decision using the most tortured and silly language to create a justification for the Justices to do what they wanted without regard for what the Constitution actually said. For that reason alone it should have been overturned.
What happened next? Well abortion pretty much disappeared as a political issue, at least on the “right”. Absolutely everyone with the good sense God gave a goat knows there is zero, and I mean absolute zero, chance of ever passing a national law banning abortion. There was a flurry of activity at the state level and then the issue kind of….went away. It went from one of the most hot button topics in conservatism to the basement alongside “gay marriage”.
Having vanquished the dragon of Roe v Wade and outlawing or heavily restricting abortion in many states, the issue is now firmly seated as a state level issue. This has led to a patchwork of laws with states like my state of Indiana with very strict and almost total bans but our neighbor to the west, Illinois, having very liberal abortion laws (up the point of viability which is a pretty grey area).
With more than a dozen states with near total bans and lots more with pretty strict rules, what has happened to abortion numbers in America?

Surgical abortion was already giving way to the easier and more anonymous pills like mifepristone. Why go to a clinic where people might see you when you could instead do a tele”health” appointment and get a plain brown box delivered to your home that induces abortion? Now the question of whether mifepristone is “safe” for the pregnant mother (as it clearly is not for the unborn child by design) isn’t given much attention but regardless it has created a nearly perfect way for women in abortion restricting states to still kill their unborn children.
After I read the post I linked above, I stopped and pondered for a bit. What I was thinking about is all of effort and money that was expended for most of my adult life to overturn Roe only to have abortions still happening and even more frequently.
When I look back, Roe v Wade magically created a “right” to abortion out of thin air in 1973. 8 years earlier the Hart-Celler Act aka the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965, threw open the doors of America to every Pedro, Vivek and Mohammad in the world to come here. Despite assurances by lying asshats like Ted Kennedy, that act has led to 60 years of massive demographic changes in America. In the 1960 census, Whites were over 85% of the U.S. population. From the inception of the United States to the 1960s, a period of 170 years, Whites had never been less than 80% of the population.
60 years after the passage of Hart-Celler the White percentage in America as of the 2020 census? A mere 57.8% and the real percentage today is close to or below the 50% threshold. In my lifetime the U.S. has undergone a profound demographic change, a change we were assured wouldn’t happen by people who knew damn well it would and who intended it all along.
As a politically active and aware conservative, during the period of my life from when I turned 18 until 2016 we were concerned with:
- Abortion
- Taxes
- Gun rights
- Foreign policy from the end of the Cold War to the Global War On Terror
What wasn’t talked about much at all? Immigration. I am sure it was covered in the Republican Party platforms during that time. Just at random I chose the 2000 Republican party platform and did a word search for “immigration”.
In a document of over 34,000 words we see “immigration” appear a whopping four times and all four instances come close together in the middle of the document. Mostly it talks about why we need more immigrants, invoking the “nation of immigrants” canard. Emphasis mine:
We have reaped enormous human capital in the genius and talent and industry of those who have escaped nations captive to totalitarianism. Our country still attracts the best and brightest to invent here, create wealth here, improve the quality of life here. As a nation of immigrants, we welcome all new Americans who have entered lawfully and are prepared to follow our laws and provide for themselves and their families. In their search for a better life, they strengthen our economy, enrich our culture, and defend the nation in war and in peace. To ensure fairness for those wishing to reside in this country, and to meet the manpower needs of our expanding economy, a total overhaul of the immigration system is sorely needed.
“As long as they come legally” was enshrined in 2000 and I suspect it appears in other versions of the party platform. The only mention of “demographics” pertains to Latin America. On the other hand “abortion” appears 8 times. “Taxes” 21 times. “Gun/guns” 12 times.
To return to the title of this post. Was all of the effort and money spent on overturning Roe v Wade really worth it in the grand scheme of things? We have outlawed abortion in many states but the number of abortions compared to pre-Dobbs is at best unchanged and actually seems to be rising. Meanwhile we are on the verge of losing our nation permanently thanks to a demographic wave that is only increasing. In many, or most, large city school districts the students look like they belong in Juarez, Islamabad or Nairobi.
We have won many victories for gun rights with permitless concealed carry sweeping the nation and the elimination of the $200 tax stamp for NFA items but the Second Amendment seems to get very little attention from Trump and Congressional Republicans. While Republican leaders seem bored with the gun issue, you can believe this: when Democrats take control as is likely to happen in 2028, gun bans will be immediately on their priority list and if the Supreme Court interferes they will simply pack the court with “justices” more amenable to restricting and eventually practically eliminating the 2nd Amendment.
The Left will be able to do this thanks mostly to changing demographics that are the result of Hart-Celler.
As someone who dedicated decades of my life speaking out against abortion, as I look back now I have to think that America would have been better served if we had channeled that effort and money toward controlling immigration rather than fighting to overturn Roe. Me of 12-15 years ago would be horrified to read me typing those words but it is how I feel.
Don’t get me wrong, as I stated earlier Roe was a terrible decision and I was thrilled to see it overturned but what good will that do us in the intermediate term? I am quite certain that new Democrat majorities in the Congress with a Democrat President will work very quickly to codify a national right to abortion that will supersede the state level laws.
All of the gains we have made, and they are quite frankly pretty minor in most areas, are going to evaporate almost immediately in the near future when the Great Replacement finally takes root in America for good.
I fear that in winning an admittedly important battle with the overthrow of Roe, we have lost focus on the bigger picture and lost the war.
Very thoughtful post. I have never blogged and was raised a leftist liberal. I was, of course, pro-abortion (even as I loved children) and agnostic on immigration (I hadn’t dealt with too many of them). The pattern held in college, although my view of race became far more nuanced. When I went overseas, everything changed. I began to think about what made me American, and whether it mattered – to me or to others. What I did and thought that made others think of me as an American. If I settled or married abroad, would I retain my ‘Americanness’ and what would my children be, and would it matter?
All this produced a sea-change in my thinking on race, immigration, nation (not to mention my own identity). I became an ethno-nationalist before I knew what it was, and at the time interpreted it as mere ‘patriotism.’ Needless to say, my position is rock solid today and has been for years.
Abortion – there my position is nuanced. Once I knew I was pregnant, even before any heartbeat or ultrasound, my child was real to me. It was a life, and creating life is something far beyond human abilities and comprehension – it was created by God through a biological process He also created. But . . . I would not presume to demand the victim of rape bear the rapists’ child – even though the child itself would be ‘innocent’ of the crime. I would not presume to tell someone that a physically or mentally handicapped child would be a blessing, when that burden has destroyed so many families and lives (even as others insist it has enhanced theirs).
So we and our thinking evolve based on life experiences and circumstances. You correctly note how dramatically US demographics have shifted. I have read conflicting numbers on who is getting abortions and what the races’ birth rates are. I’ve reached the point where I’m unapologetically putting the practical over the theoretical – if legal abortion means fewer offspring by AWFLS and BIPOCS, then I’m in favor of it. Anything that works for the survival of the White race in the long run – without totally changing its character – is ultimately for the good. Lacking in nuance? Black and white? Absolutely. There is such a thing as ‘the common good’ – and unfortunately, that does involve making compromises and does entail innocent individuals being harmed. I’m not totally okay with that, but I keep my eye on what I consider the ultimate question: The survival of the White race and a future for White children.
I share a similar view of abortion now. It is an abhorrent practice, of course, and is most frequently utilized for the convenience of the woman who chooses to get one. That aside, any women who would get an abortion (at least for the reason of convenience, or post-conception birth control) is of such poor character and judgement that she shouldn’t be a mother anyway.
This is particularly true of AWFLs, like the silly bitch who just got popped in Minnedishu the other day, as the children they do end up bearing are subject to abuse in the form of indoctrination into their mother’s perverse ideologies. Not only do they steep their children in rabid liberalism, these are the very women who turn their children into transfaggots as a performative device for attention and praise from other similarly deranged women. Who do you think advocates for and attends drag queen story time at the local library, and takes them to the pride parade? These slags should be legally barred from having children, as the outcome is the all too predictable one of hopelessly screwing up the minds of their offspring.
Yes, I will take the position that a child is better off dead, than to have to live that hell of an upbringing that quite often renders them irreparably damaged and dysfunctional adults. To say nothing of the fact they serve to further the diseased political leanings of their mothers (and cuck faggot “fathers” to the extent they remain involved, assuming they aren’t cast out early in a divorce). As for other dysfunctional races who I have no desire to coexist with here, they can get as many abortions as they want. While the procedure itself remains morally and ethically disgusting, Im pragmatic about wanting to control their population. I also consider it the responsibility of God to punish these people for the lives they’ve destroyed. Clearly there is no political will to punish women who get abortions under the law, that issue is a non-starter in the present circumstances of our badly coarsened and degenerate society.

That touches on another issue that is prevalent with modern women, the near worship of animals, to the exclusion of having children, and even an openly expressed distaste for children. I get so sick of hearing women refer to themselves as “dog moms” and “cat moms”, who will even give generously of their time and money to animal rescue groups in the same breath they will advocate forcefully for unrestricted abortion, and think nothing at all of have abortions themselves.
I don’t mean to besmirch the value of animals as pets, or even in their own right, but when their relative importance is elevated so far beyond that of human life, well, these bints just aren’t right in the head. Of course, that much was self evident just by observing their behavior. It’s one of the major reasons I stopped seeing a relationship (with the intent to marry) so many years ago.
Too many women, even the less ardently outspoken and offensively liberal ones – had an unhealthy obsession with animals, and were always wanting to take on another rescue hard luck case. I don’t mind a pet, and have had pets of my own before. But I don’t want to live in a barnyard where the time and expense of caring for a menagerie of animals becomes the all consuming focus of my life.
It truly is difficult – nearly impossible, really – to wrap my mind around that way if thinking.

I was always agnostic about abortion. Then some pro-life group began screaming that blacks were the ‘hardest hit’ by abortion, as 40 million black babies had been aborted. I suddenly became 100% in favor of abortion.

Absolutely. And if we, as a society could/would place women back under proper patriarchal control again, nearly all of the ills plaguing society could be sorted in short order. Consider that all the deleterious downstream effects of the liberalization of American politics – permitting invasion via immigration, abortion as a convenience, the welfare state, DEI, open worship of faggotry, among others – are all enabled by the political influence of women who have been given the opportunity to exert control over policy. Yes, the women were goaded into demanding it by the parenthetical tribalists, but there is no assurance they wouldn’t have agitated for it – and eventually prevailed – in the absence of the small hats, because weak mean tired of being nagged, and were threatened with the withholding of the sacred pussy.
It is a lesson we have now learned in the very hardest way possible, by the loss of our culture, and our country. The women themselves will suffer terribly for it, and already are in many ways. But they don’t care, because they want what they want, and don’t utilize logic to establish cause and effect. In fact, for most, the very concept of cause and effect never enters their minds. Bad shit just “happens” to them due to some implacable force, and they never have any culpability for it.

One of the (many) consequences of all this unlimited free money sloshing around is that any woman who wants an abortion, wherever she lives, doesn’t have to pay for it. What a blessing to be able to share that Momma Lashauwna, who we helped earlier this year with a baby shower, has reached out to another Momma experiencing an unexpected pregnancy and has asked for help.
Lashauwna’s neighbor, Momma Jasmine, is pregnant with her fourth daughter and was unsure where to turn. As a struggling Momma to three daughters, ages 3, 2 and 9 months, Jasmine was unsure where to turn and was considering abortion. Lashauwna gave Jasmine her son’s outgrown diapers, clothing and baby items no longer needed. Through conversations between the two women, Jasmine chose life for her newest daughter, who is due in October.
Lashauwna reached out to TAC Sidewalk Advocate Joan to ask what help can be offered to Jasmine. To parents and grandparents who may have gently used clothing they are willing to donate, Jasmine needs girls’ clothing in sizes from 12 months up to 4T. Shoe sizes are 7 and 6 toddler. All Jasmine’s girls are still in diapers, and even though she does receive diapers from two local prolife organizations, she does not get all she needs. She prefers the brand Pampers, and her girls are in Sizes 6, 5 and 4, as well as wipes. And of course, before we know it, Baby Girl #4 will be here and needing diapers and wipes. Joan reports that after this drive winds down, she will help Jasmine compile a baby registry for items still needed that can be supplied via a virtual baby shower.
We are blessed to be a blessing (Genesis 12:2-3), and are doubly blessed to see the ripple effects of that blessing as Lashauwna reaches out to help a Mom after she herself was helped. Visiting a major east coast city now. It’s a dystopian hellscape. Decided to go to dinner, outside… Parking my car, there was a poor wretch foaming at the mouth, on her(?) back near my car…. I left a bottle of water near her but I won’t engage these people….I couldn’t sit down outside in a “nice place” to enjoy dinner… an aggressive older woman of diversity came over to us, started aggressively begging, and then was joined by her accomplice, a teenager. We left, then headed elsewhere, and then they showed up again…. police presence with three cruisers and two officers right there… I moved my Asp to my front pocket when I saw them coming and she started chimping out over that… kept going. Driving away, accosted by the usual assholes who “clean your windshield”. I darn near hit one, told him NO THANKS through my windshield, and as a “f- you, white man” he did my driver side anyway. Continuing to a big box store, we were greeted by trash everywhere, carts left all over the parking lot, and VFW. Entering the store, we found several interesting “security officers”, all wonderfully diverse, somewhat of a mish-mash of a Crip and a Cop… It goes without saying but I’ll mention it anyway…. there were NO self checkouts. Departing the store, I told the person with me, as I had blunt force weapons with me, “I’ll go out the door- you follow- as I get to the car, I will unlock it, and IMMEDIATELY just THROW everything into the car”. She wasn’t moving fast enough, “placing” instead of “throwing” and immediately some other future scholar accosted us, already visibly high on some substance, asking for money for booze. Departed that circus, arrived back at our lodging, and as we approached the urine soaked entrance to our lodging, there was graffiti calling out a list of AIDS carrying individuals who perhaps frequented this piss stop… and as our farewell back to safe lockdown, the ubiquitous shirtless crazy black guy waving his hands around and talking in his own language to someone who wasn’t there passed in review. It’s almost as if the city put on a special show for me, a visitor from flyover country, where, if I hear rapid BANG! BANG! BOOM! rather than being a drive-by shooting or a drug deal with one of the participants in stark disagreement with the other participant, it’s redneck neighbors blowing up fireworks. Walking to my car in a parking garage two days ago, I saw 2 astronaut-Americans in 2 different places – one on the job in the parking garage – smoking joints as they walked down the street or went about their business. This was every single time I stepped out of my lodging, the outside of which smells like wino urine. America is dead and most refuse to see it. There is no way back from this. These people we enable and support have destroyed everywhere they have been, like locusts….they bring nothing but danger, violence, brutality, discordant noise, trash, woe, death, anguish, and despair. That list does go on…and they hate us. This was a beautiful city 60 years ago. It now has what it has not only enabled, but tolerated. I will never come back here and I do truly hope those who enabled this are eaten by their benighted pals. Then the benighted ones can barbecue each other. How I love cultural experiences…..
In short- I have to pass this time. I’ve had enough and this trip convinced me that I never want to be around these people ever again. Maybe next time.
