Jailed rape suspect asked girlfriends to stab the victim before trial, authorities say
Yes girlfriends is supposed to be plural.
A man in a Maryland jail is accused of asking girlfriends to kidnap and stab a woman he is accused of sexually assaulting.
Twenty-year-old Kayvon Edwards was arrested in January for allegedly raping a woman in Prince George’s County.
Investigators say Edwards got an 18-year-old girlfriend, Robynn Bynum, to befriend the victim, start working at her job and then send text messages urging her to drop the charges before the start of the trial.
When that plan didn’t work, one month later, investigators say Edwards got 20-year-old Cierra Lee, the mother of his child, in Washington, D.C., to also try to befriend the victim on social media.
Give him credit for coming up with a plan and then sticking with it.
According to investigators, Lee was able to lure the victim to a home by pretending she was a hairdresser and needed babysitting. When the victim showed up with an unexpected friend on Oct. 20, Lee brought them around the back and into the basement. That’s where Bynum surprised them and started stabbing the alleged rape victim and her friend.
The two were also tied up and their eyes were taped shut, authorities said….
….According to court records, Bynum and Lee dropped the stabbing victims off near M Street SE while they were still taped and locked in the car. They then called Edwards to tell him they dropped the two off and they would not be showing up to court, according to police, but the victims escaped.

Court records revealed recorded jail calls between Edwards and Lee. During the calls, he would tell Lee not to let him down, to have fun and make sure the alleged rape victim is dead.
Have fun? Apparently none of these 2Gs realize that their jail house calls are monitored and recorded.
What really capped it off was the very end of the story.
According to court documents, the rape charge was dropped due to burden of proof issues.
Edwards, Lee and Bynum are now facing federal charges for the kidnappings and stabbings, U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro announced.
He was going to walk on the original charges but now he is looking at Federal hard time. Genius! Here he is..
I am shocked he was caught, he clearly had thought this plan all the way through.

There was a shooting at the Christmas Tree lighting near me last night in Concord NC. I’ve gone there in the past with the kids so it is a shock that it could happen there. Four people were shot. The crowd fled.
I searched the Charloot Observer for information. Nothing. I searched the TV news nothing appeared for hours. Wake up this morning and find why the news was holding back. The usual suspects were having a disagreement and shot at each other. Two of the injured were the shooters, Nasir Ahmad Bostic 18 and an unnamed juvenile. Keyvyonn Rayshaund Bostic 17 was charged as an accessory.
I know the Disturber was hoping it was Drunk Maga this time so they could report it.
