Deal Alert!

More poverty pony posting. This is a pretty good deal on an Anderson AR-15 at….Palmetto State Armory?

I am wondering if Ruger didn’t sell a bunch of leftover Anderson branded ARs to Palmetto State for cheap just to get rid of them. If PSA is selling them for $339, they probably got them for way less. Whatever the situation, if you are in need of a back-up or tertiary AR and don’t want to spend a fortune this is a great deal. Keep in mind there is no longer a warranty as Anderson doesn’t exist any longer so these are “as-is” which might explain why they are still in stock (that and AR sales, and firearms in general, are super slow right now).

As always I don’t get anything if you buy this, I am just passing it on for informational purposes.

Always good to have a kicker. Kinda like a budget 1911.

I worked in a high volume tactical shop in the twenty-teens and there was some tension then between the DD fanboys and the bushmaster/dpms crowd. Turns out both niches have a time and place. Just don’t expect to put 20k rounds through your $400 AR, any more than you’d have a $3,000 AR knocking around behind the back seat of your crew cab.

Yet another reason to lament the passing of the imported AK variants.

Every day is a good day to listen to Ennio Morricone’s greatest hits.

That’s amazing. a $350 working AR with reg receiver (no weird polymer stuff)
reminds me of the early 00’s and those Del-Ton ads (wasn’t that the name?) in Shotgun News
IN 2025 no less, no 2000

buy ’em cheap stack ’em deep.

It just occurred to me that Black Rain Ordinance initials are “BRO”, haha.

They probably have the coolest, most functional web catalogue ever.

You can always upgrade the internals as you go. Better BCG, lower parts group etc. Im not sure how much better a DD empty lower or upper is compared to an Anderson.
I would be more concerned with quality of BCG, pins, springs, etc. Those parts are maybe $400? Spread over time you have maybe $750 and a pretty decent gun. True or not?
