A carload of drive-by gunmen opened fire on a crowd leaving a rap performer’s release party at a River North nightclub on Wednesday night, leaving 18 people shot, 4 fatally, officials said. It marks the second mass shooting at the same location since 2022.
The shooting occurred at 11:02 p.m. as a crowd exited Artis Lounge at 311 West Chicago Avenue, following a release party for local rap artist Mello Buckzz. An internal CPD bulletin obtained by CWBChicago said the motive was “possibly gang related.” Investigators found more than 20 shell casings of three different calibers at the scene, the bulletin said…

That is a pretty specific description of the rims, but no description of the shooters. A rap release party is obviously a magnet for mass shootings and this will no doubt increase sales of the rap “songs”.
The local “rap artist”, an oxymoronic contradiction in terms if ever there was one, is one Mello Buckzz and she is a chick rapper sporting that weird growth on her forehead black chicks think is fashionable. Seriously what the hell is that?
As far as “possibly gang related”, a euphemistic term often used to avoid talking about the fact that most mass shootings are blacks shooting other blacks, according to this article from the Chicago Sun-Times, Melanie Doyle aka Mello Buckzz certainly seems to have some gang connections:
Mello Buckzz references “NLMB” on her Facebook page, an acronym commonly used to refer to the No Limit Muskegon Boys gang, a faction of both the Black P Stones and Gangster Disciples based on the South Shore.
The story also details at least one instance of her assaulting some other black chick. It is hard to fathom that such a classy person would attract violence. Apparently one of the people killed was her boyfriend, although I didn’t come across a name for the deceased 2G.

In November 2022, one person was killed and three others were injured when at least two individuals drew guns and opened fire after a crowd was ejected from Hush Nightclub, located at the same address now occupied by Artis.
Although a $15,000 reward was offered for information about the shooters, no one has been charged. The city shuttered Hush following the shooting.
That place does sound like a “safe space” and we all know that blacks most common “unapologetic self-expression” is shooting each other. I am really torn up to see this tragedy happen at a “Proudly Black-,Brown-, Queer-, and Women-owned” venue, it would be a shame if it were shut down.
This mass shooting in Chicongo is tied as the front-runner for the most people shot in a single incident in 2025. With 18 total it is matched only by a shooting in Las Cruces, New Mexico back on March 21st where 18 were also shot but with one fewer fatality. In that shooting the alleged shooters and victims were all mestizos of some flavor:

My cousin in Chesterton, Indiana said that they are building houses 24/7 for all of the people moving out of Illinois. When I was a very small child, we lived in Chesterton for about a year.
