BREAKING: 3 dead, 6 hurt after mass shooting at Log Cabin Drive bar, coroner says
A shooting at a Log Cabin Drive bar has left three dead and six others hurt Sunday morning, according to Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones.
It happened at Midtown Daiquiri Bar and Grill at 4376 Log Cabin Drive, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release. They say the call came in at around midnight.
Jones says the shooting left nine people shot, and three people died from their injuries. The Bibb County Coroner’s Office pronounced the three victims dead at around 1:10 a.m. Sunday morning. The victims have been identified as 32 year old Javonta Faulks, 28 year old Jedarrius Meadows Jr. and 24 year old Javarsia Meadows.
Javonta, Jedarrius and Javarsia? Bad night to be sipping daquiris with a first name starting with “J”.
I have never heard of a daquiri bar but then again I am not much of a bar guy or a liquor guy for that matter.
A bunch of blacks being shot by a different bunch of blacks? Now that I have heard of.
I would have assumed Bibb County was in Louisiana, but apparently Bibb County is in Alabama.
Alabama-home to the most rural properties with iron gates and bars on the doors and windows outside of Texas.
Bibb County Georgia is Macon, so could be there as well.

Oh, you will love this. The daiquiri bars are just a storefront with lines of 6-20 slurpee machines, all with different neon color-flavors, and you buy a giant ass big gulp sized container of if, usually layering multiple flavor-colors.
And they are to-go.

Blacks don’t shoot whiskey (they would probably miss, anyway). The burn is too harsh, and dey love dem some sweet taste. Back in high school, I recall the brothas pouring packets of Kool-Aid powder into cheap white wine, in a precursor to the infamous modern purple drank. Even the taste of straight wine was too harsh for their delicate sensibilities. So mildly alcoholic Slurpies are right in their wheelhouse. And calling them “daiquiries” squares nicely with their well-known infantile efforts to appear “classy”.
