Typically most people sharing our mindset think of America as a nation in decline, slowly falling apart and heading for an inevitable crash. The thought being that we are nearing the end of the downward spiral and preparing for a collapse. That makes sense but I don’t think it is really accurate.
Instead we should be thinking of America as a nation that is already a failed state, one that is barely held together. The collapse isn’t coming, it is already here and only held at bay by the thinnest bonds of civility and order.
It brings to mind one of my favorite quotations from John Buchan….

It was a little after Buchan’s time but the wall is plexiglass rather than regular window glass and those plexiglass partitions are the symbol of our failed state.
Recall the post from a month ago, Adventures In Missing The Point, where a 2G was bitching because his local Dunkin’ Donuts encased the service counter in bullet-proof glass. He was offended because it made him think that perhaps something was wrong with black people, a comment that led to much guffawing. Or the post where 2Gs were brawling in a courtroom in an area partitioned off by plexiglass: At Least They Won’t Have Far To Go For Their Court Date.
These measures aren’t preventing the collapse. They are just keeping the savages at bay however briefly.
Putting up plexiglass partitions in courtrooms and Dunkin Donuts and locking up basic merchandise at inner city drug stores in plexiglass boxes is just slapping a Band-Aid on a corpse that has already bled out. It is all a game now to keep up the illusion of life in the deceased.
One might say: “Things seem to be working OK for me”….and that is probably true for most or at least many of us.
What keeps it going is the work put in by millions of White Americans for the last century. Roads, bridges, power stations, dams. Courts and governments. Schools and colleges. Farms and orchards. What drives America today is a giant machine that was built over the course of a century. We live today thanks to the work and foresight of prior generations of Whites.
That work is rapidly grinding to a halt.
We see the signs all around us, signs of a society that has stopped functioning. Momentum is carrying us forward but each day something that was working stops working. When the momentum stops, the animals will be let loose in earnest.
The United States, like most Western nations, is a failed state shambling forward from inertia. It isn’t something that can be fixed, all we can do right now is survive and prepare to rebuild.

All true. In my daily skim of comments I always see the “If we don’t do ‘x’ we will soon be like ‘y.'” Do these people live in the same reality that I do? Over 9,000 babies are born in AINO daily; barely 50% of them are to White mothers (and statistics make no differentiation of the race of the father). Whites of childbearing age are few in number and ‘aging out.’ Children in school now know nothing of a White nation, and each succeeding generation will fare worse. US cities are cesspools of crime, street people, drugs, and feces. Schools teach nothing but woke lies and anti-White hatred. White men are the last ones chosen for colleges, scholarships, jobs, and awards. When something actually works or is practical these days, it’s an aberration. The norm is idiocracy with a heavy serving of DEI.
People see what they want to see, and normalcy bias is rampant. I’m grateful to live in an overwhelmingly White rural area, but I don’t kid myself that it’s somehow immune to the forces arrayed against it. I see the cracks. I know what’s here and the worse that is coming.
I don’t disagree at all, that the FUSA is in fact a failed state. There is, however, a difference between a failed state that remains nominally lovable for those with the means to still avoid the worst of the shit has wrecked our society, and a true collapse. The latter is a breakdown of the most basic tenets of modern society; sanitation (potable water and proper waste disposal), food, medicine and a thin enough veneer of order that jungle rules aren’t fully in effect yet, except in certain areas that wise folks know to avoid.
When that paper thin veneer of civilization is gone, then we are really in the shit, as in an immediate existential battle for survival. Our survival is very much at risk right now, no doubt, but likely none of us reading here tonight are in a place where we are presently under threat of looting and death from ferals. Not that such a turn of events couldn’t take place very quickly, but for the moment we are still relatively comfortable and safe.
I don’t disagree, but even living in a place where one is ‘still relatively comfortable and safe’ can change in an instant. We lived in a prosperous DFW suburb, and I shopped in Frisco quite often. I’m sure Austin Metcalf’s family felt ‘comfortable and safe’ in their nice brick home in a nice suburb. Friends of ours in a different suburb claimed their neighborhood was still majority White a dozen years ago. Now it’s all mystery meat, and one house has a hindu shrine out front. Just because Obama isn’t out there touting ‘affirmatively fair housing’ doesn’t mean they aren’t still packing aliens in every White neighborhood. It doesn’t mean your job is safe from an east or south Asian or woman. What people still see as secure actually isn’t – it’s another fallacy like the supposed wall separating civilization from chaos.
Yes, that’s absolutely true. I’m just pointing out the difference between living in an failed state, and trying to survive an actual collapse. There’s a pretty large gap between the two, and I think it’s a distinction that needs to be made, if only to point out that one is not synonymous with the other.
It also bears pointing out because many people can and do take the attitude that a failed state is “good enough” as long as it doesn’t fuck them personally, and sometimes even after it does. Real collapse will cause people to either gain clarity and discernment immediately, or they will die in short order. For now, a failed state still affords the opportunity for most NPC’s not to think much about the shittiness (or plan for what to do in a bonafide collapse scenario, at which point it’s too late) for the most part.
You are of course right, that the difference between the two is great. However I believe the delta between the two can be very short.

I like to use the “zombie-ant fungus” analogy (Ophiocordyceps unilateralis). We (normal-human society) are the ant. The fungus which takes over the nervous system and causes the ant to do things most definitely NOT to the ant’s benefit, leading to death of the ant? That’s the stage we are in and I’m sorry to tell you but the younger generations are totally screwed up ESPECIALLY the white ones. How many 20 something “men” are like teenagers who have failed to launch, don’t have a real job, live in Mom’s basement and play video games, drink and smoke pot and never have a relationship with a woman outside of a hookup ?
The young women have blue hair, piercings, are on Tiktok talking about their “mental health”, usually live at home with their parents, are anti male yet “hook up” constantly. A 22 year old friend of my daughters on Tiktok was teeheeing that she ONLY screwed 12 different guys that month !! They call in because “my mentals” and most can’t hold a job for more than 6 months.
There are exceptions of course but I’m afraid to say that this is a HUGE percentage of Gen Z and they are frigging worthless.
The 60s radical Left Wing bullshit has long term weakened and is destroying our culture. I’m afraid in the long term our culture is doomed and I don’t see a turnaround. I know many of you have issues with the burrito goblins and 2Gs for good reasons but most of the white young people are just as frigging useless sadly.
Roger that! I now see young men (mid 20’s) in my line of work that have no practical skills. As in they barely know which end of a screwdriver to use and can’t even change a tire. By the time I was their age I had rebuilt my car engine and could do a brake job. Granted vehicles are more complex now, but these skills can be learned easily as the information is more accessible. The few of Gen Z that take time to learn a trade will be much more valuable to the rebuilding phase and will be the ones with real wealth.
The actual collapse of AINO, a/k/a the Empire of Evil, will come when the electric grid is disabled, by accident, attrition, or sabotage. When that happens, modern civilization ends, because all the infrastructure of modernity depends on the transmission of power and information. Take away those functions and literally nothing works.
And once that happens, when people can’t travel, eat, or stay warm or cool, all bets are off, because we are all without the knowledge necessary to build and maintain shelter, transportation, storage of foodstuffs, generate nutrients from the environment, and so on.
At that point, all the built up hatred will be unleashed in a spasm of stone cold fury, the final war of all against all. Who wins? Why no one, of course. The Purge, 1984, Lord of the Flies, the state of nature will be revealed.
And in the end, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance problem of keeping civilization when no outside force to do so is acceptable to the population will prove unsolvable. The devil will win, because we humans, being mortal, are ultimately selfish materialists, caring not at all for anyone, even those we claim to love.
A functional society needs a supermajority of empathic altruists who nonetheless are heroic enough to enforce their values on everyone, not just strangers who they despise. Show me that society and we all can survive and thrive. That ain’t AINO, 2025 or ever.

right now my worlds all lit up, three down and locked. at 68 i’ve been prepping since my early thirties.
my world is what i make it. i don’t spend much time in crowds or big cities, if i am in either i make certain i have the tools to extract me and mine.
i just spent quality time watching the most amazing sunset over the Desert. think i’d be happy doing this everyday for the rest of my life.
i did do 450/500 rounds of carbine drills before, and did some damage to paper targets from 609 to 950, with my wilson ar10 6.5 creedmore super sniper.
the rule of 10000 still applies, not as fast as i once was but the accuracy never stales when a fella develops good shoot habits.
this worlds not going away anytime soon. so eat a dozen magic mushrooms and let the nonsense flow away.
i’ll close with this thought, never hurts to be well prepared for anything, god forbid shit does hit the fan, you have only you, your crew to get thru.

I have been considering lately if the zombie apocalypse is merely an analogy for the tides of communism sweeping over the nations looking for brains to devour. Tell me the entitlement culture and the victim culture have not made Western Civilization a bloody, desperate hellscape.
I think of the American state as a big rolling wheel, and it’s slowing and slowing and just basically moving on momentum and it’s starting to wobble and it’s about to fall over.
Every single city is worried about tourism or some festival or helping some useless parasite subset get free food or housing, meanwhile the infrastructure is 100 years old and failing and no plans are made to address it except fix what breaks badly enough for people to notice.
The schools are a disaster and if you are still sending your kids to government schools, well at this point that’s on you. It’s obvious they are a complete failure. I give all the neighborhood boys a copy of the first book of the Horatio Hornblower series. (it’s really good BTW) as they graduate into middle school (so 6th graders). 1. cuz they need to learn and enjoy reading and modern books are shit, all built for women. 2. boys need stories and heroes and all the help they can get nowadays. 3. It was written in the 1940’s for Jr High Kids and you can see instantly how fall we’ve fallen. Every single one of these kids are like “wow, these are big words”. (yeah, i realize they probably aren’t really ready for it, but without struggle there is no learning and if i wait until high school they won’t ever read it, the schools will have beat the joy of reading out of them.
those goddamn phones are destroying the minds of everyone. Turn the damn thing off and go interact with people, go outside, go read, do anything but get off those damn phones. When the electricity goes out, that’s when civilization starts to come back as those phones are dead.

During the Vietnam War era, only about 3% of the people in the FUSA said they considered leaving the country, draft dodgers aside. So, what will it take? My tribe and I have been prepping since before Y2K. Every week it’s Zombie Apocalypse, economy crash, pandemic, The Second Coming, or something else. Yes, things will get worse. But NO ONE can tell you when. I read all of Selco’s stories and took great care to evaluate what he experienced. The only thing I can add to the debate here is the cliche` of straws in the wind.
Thomas Chittum in his prescient work CIVIL WAR II formulated a checklist in the last chapter of his book. There are several things he covered which have come to pass. If you can find a copy, read it. It will get your attention immediately. The canary in the coal mine will be the Blue Hives. When the music stops (H/T to Matt Bracken) the explosive behavior of the millennials and their elders of all races and ethnicities will be on live TV for all to see. It will be a wake-up call for all of the sheeple, normies, and cucks. That is when the real panic will start here in the hinterlands of suburbia. And I do not believe even my red state will be immune.
Even right now, the Democrat&Deviate-run Spokane, 30 miles to the west of us, is experiencing a geometric rise in crime and OD cases due to fentanyl. In my neighborhood, we do a BOLO for porch pirates, and every vehicle with a WA license plate which drives through is scrutinized. Ring cameras are recording more characters (young males and females) ringing doorbells, looking in windows, trying car door handles, etc. These are our straws in the wind, and they will increase as things get worse. Stay vigilant, plan accordingly, and bleib ubrig.

It will be chaos but also a chance to carve out a new Homeland if we are prepared… But staying isolated and alone isn’t going to cut it…
Competent white guys are retiring, and aren’t being replaced by competent white guys, mainly because they were not hired on purpose, and replaced by diverse people, on purpose. Watch as things fail.
