This is a fast moving story, I set this morning’s post for 8 AM today but then saw this:

She is still claiming she dindu nuffin wrong and it was all just a bizarre accident that looked exactly like an intentional hit followed by her trying to whack the other one again. Also accidental of course. This was especially interesting:
Prior to the charges being announced on Everett, the Portsmouth NAACP released a statement defending the embattled teen on Wednesday.
“Alaila is NOT AN ATTACKER and media headlines that allude towards that in any way is shameful. We understand the sensitivity of the circumstances for both athletes and their families involved but this narrative must not go unaddressed,” the statement read.
“Alaila is an honor student and a star athlete at the historic I.C. Norcom High School. From all accounts, she is an exceptional young leader and scholar whose athletic talent has been well documented and recognized across our state. She has carried herself with integrity both on and off the field and any narrative that adjudicates her guilty of any criminal activity is a violation of her due process rights.”
The local NAACP will defend a black girl even when she attacked another black girl because their priority is to try to mask black violence even at the expense of blacks being victimized. That is why no one in the black community seems interested in talking about black-on-black violence and blacks mostly looked the other way when black Lives Matter activists robbed bLM blind and used the money that was supposed to go to the “black community” to instead buy houses and jewelry.
The hard truth is that black “civil rights” groups are mostly engaged in slandering Whites and defending the indefensible behavior of blacks. They have never done any actual work in advancing “civil rights” for blacks and their refusal to call out their own community, even when they are obviously in the wrong, exposes them for the frauds and grifters they truly are.
Of course. The video was taken out of context. It was a mostly peaceful assault. More of a jovial, friendly nudging born of competitive esprit de corps.
Honor student. Uh huh. Exceptional young leader (?) and scholar (they love calling thugs with a high propensity for criminality “scholars”). Yeah, ok. If you saaaaay so.

What does it mean to be an “honor” student at a majority-black school? My guess is that it’s a rather low bar.

Well yes, but in point of fact he probably still was in the top half of his class. Now stop and consider the horror of that reality for just a moment.
Most black majority schools gave reduced requirements. What gets you an A+ at a black school is likely a D at a normal school

Yes, as a former teacher, I can tell you that’s an accurate guess.
I quit teaching in 2005, and even then I was once _forced_ (as in, we’ve invited you to this meeting and we’re asking you, but you don’t have the option of saying no, because we’ll just change his grade, anyway) to give a student an opportunity to complete an assignment he had simply ignored–for months. That failure resulted in his failing the course. For the record, this was a white student, and the justification offered for not holding him accountable for his own choices was his diagnosed learning disability. It was total bullshit and I think his parents knew that, too, but they were mire interested in getting. Him a passing grade than they were in him learning a valuable lesson.
Anyway, all that to say that “helping” the student has since evolved to allowing them to make up any and every missed homework or test assignment, no matter how late, and to retake every test again and again (the same exact test) so that a passing grade is achieved.
Unfortunately, being deemed an ‘honor student’ might signify genuine excellence at some schools in some places, but as any kind of general yardstick, it’s absolutely meaningless now.
Surely no one is surprised by this? When does a 2G ever admit being at fault? When does a Jew ever admit he cheated financially? When does an east Asian ever admit his ‘civilization’ is not premier? When does a boomer ever get over his ‘magic’ youth?

Gayway Pundit is full of magaturds gushing over Vance and defending his DEI mother-in-law. Newsflash, morons: When you marry someone, you marry their family – and south Asians are all in on DEI because they’re as black as 2Gs – often even darker. Not to mention NO ONE likes them.
And over at another news aggregator site I find a sob story from the BBC about Gupreet Singh, who spent $45k to get to AINO illegally and thought he was safe because he snuck in a few days before Trump was inaugurated. Instead he was chained and sent home. How about sending Usha’s parents home, too? If we had done that back when they first laid claim to AINO, we wouldn’t have a ‘wheatish’ devout Hindu second lady with a mother who teaches that Whites are evil colonial oppressors.
I am so DONE with this wreck of a country and people who want to argue electoral politics, and which past azzhole president was ‘the greatest.’ The past has PASSED. Get over it. The only way forward is through. And if you think things can’t possibly get worse, you are an incurable optimist.

I’m going to vacuum seal some overpriced ‘on sale’ steak I bought yesterday, for twice what it would have cost me in DFW (yes, I still check the online grocery ads there so know whereof I speak). Husband has agreed that we will buy a second chest freezer and fill it with beef bought in DFW when we next visit. At least I’ll be doing something productive.

Yes. And that’s the term I normally use; I was trying to observe decorum, athough Arthur doesn’t censor. I’ve dealt with them in three countries and I wish I hadn’t.
South Asians is actually the correct technical term for Indians, Pakistanis, and Bangladeshis. It’s not “code” (sorry, Saoirse) like “small hats”.
East Asians are Chinese, Japanese, and Koreans. (“Fancy Asians” because the mean IQ is slightly over 100.)
Southeast Asians include Filipinos, Thai, Cambodians, Indonesians, Malays, etc. (“Jungle Asians”)
As long as you think of them as human beings rather than some sort of animal you’ll be constantly stymied by their animalistic behavior.
