If the left can tank Tesla’s stock price hard enough, this will force Musk into a margin call that could bring down his entire empire. There is a real financial risk here and Musk is not a stupid man. He had to realize that his political activities would have a negative effect on Tesla sales (considering their primary customer) and thus the stock price… and he is doing it anyway. Kudos to him for it. I say that grudgingly, but there it is.
