Meet Derrenn Washington of Tulsa, Oklahoma…..
On February 26th, according to the Tulsa po-leece Derrenn was jus’ doing what the homies do: “causing a disturbance and refusing to leave the business”. When the po-po showed up and axed Derrenn if he was strapped, or carrying a gat, armed, etc. Derrenn (being a savvy criminal)…..took off running.
Despite the stereotypes of being fleet of foot, the 2G was quickly apprehended after breaking into a house but not before he decided to make matters worse by assaulting a cop. The reason he ran when axed about being armed?
He was carrying a Glock in his “cross-body satchel”. Is there a greater giveaway that you are carrying a gun you aren’t supposed to be quite like a 2G punk carrying a satchel? You can safely assumed the Glock was obtained by illegal means, likely adding to his already lengthy list of charges.
Anyway, this all seems pretty standard stuff in the life of a Jogger-American but I will let the Tulsa police explain why this is a special incident….
After the incident stabilized, Officers learned it was Washington’s 18th birthday. Mr. Washington may not be aware that the consequences of his actions as an adult are a little different than those of his actions as a juvenile.
If you read between the lines, it sounds like this is not Mr. Washington’s first encounter with the police but it is his first encounter with the police as an adult. Now he gets to go to big boy jail and face big boy charges including
- 2nd Degree Burglary
- Possession of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony
- Assault and Battery on a Police Officer
- Obstruction

You raise good points there, and it may well be that they will find it difficult to settle on their next collective circle jerk. In a sense, It does seem like something fundamental changed in the last year to 18 months, and there are now fewer suckers to be exploited. Another thing I believe to be true: As long as young MEN are raised up with truth in their hearts and truth in their brains and the understanding that men-despite all the slobber to the contrary-are in fact in charge of homes and families and countries, then (most) women will fall in line. Slow or fast, gladly or begrudgingly they will follow. But they must be led. Women are easily led astray and often they become unfixable, but they can also be led down the straight-and-narrow. Where stability and hope and prosperity and justice and health and a future can be had. Sadly, when women are led astray and the men of their peer group are rudderless, the men are led by the women as far astray as they are. As ever, the only way out is through.
