Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon and owner of the Washington Post, came out with a rather bizarre twist on Tuesday….

The Washington Post, long the party organ for the American globalist class, is now going to shift their opinion pages to focus on…..personal liberties and free markets? Not only that but: “…viewpoints opposing those pillars will be left to be published by others”.
He knows this is the Washington Post, right? A paper that is as far left as you will find, with an editorial page to match, that is read by the mandarins in Sodom-On-The-Potomac, aka Washington, D.C.?

My response?

Seriously, if people are really interested in the free market and personal liberty the last place they will be is in Washington, D.C. and they won’t be reading the Washington Post.
I am not sure when this change is supposed to take effect, the Opinion section as of right now when I checked is chock full of frothing at the mouth Orange Man Bad nonsense, just like it was in the past. If I were to guess this would seem to be some sort of weird genuflection by Bezos toward Trump for some reason. The only upside to this is that it has all the right people losing what shred of sanity they still possess but I won’t hold my breath to see the opinion pages of the Washington Post suddenly become based.
Really, can you recall anything quite as bizarre as what has been going on since January 20th?
Kinda like when MegaCorp Beverage Inc. buys out a little organic operator and then over time removes anyone with any connection to the company’s roots and commitment to healthy foods. Then the product lines of little organic operator turn to sugary, chemically crap, but The Mainstream keeps buying it “because its healthy…it says so on the label.” Bezos’ word/integrity carry as much weight as Zookerstein’s, IMHO. “See, its personal liberty and free markets! It says so right here on the label!” Mirroring can be a powerful technique, especially for the easy-to-convince.
It’s “No arrests” o’clock again. Lot’s of exposing, no real consequences yet. But yes, been bizarre.
I have a very difficult time believing “Lex Luthor” Bezos has had a come to Jesus moment and has suddenly decided to shed his previous ideological underpinnings to take on the mindset one who values personal liberty and limited government. I’ll say the same – even more strongly – about fuckersperg. I take this as PR campaign meant to rehabilitate their image, and that if their respective companies. Sorry, no sale; I simply cannot trust these guys based on their past performance.
BRD – like the rest of his (((tribe))), Bezos positively Hates Jesus and his followers. This move to pretend he supports “Free Markets and Personal Liberty” is just, IMO, a case of realizing that the Majority has figured out that (((their))) Leftist Garbage is just That, and Bezos has realized that continuing to Push (((their))) agenda much harder in the face of increasing opposition could have…. Consequences. Like, Boxcar-to-Labor-Camp Consequences.
p.s. C’mon Man, Lex Luthor was always one of the best ‘Bad Guy’ Characters in Comics, don’t Dis him by comparing him to Vermin like Bezos.
Yes, In fully expect this (and zuck’s) cozying up to the new reality is just a case of opportunism. Which was pretty well what in was trying to convey. Meanwhile, culpa on the Lex Luthor comparison, I only used that due to the admittedly tenuous bald headed resemblance. And I do consider Bezos a bad guy, though not a mastermind as Lex Luthor styled himself.
Virtue signaling about “personal liberties”, and other such fanciful jargon, makes the cucks and normies feel all warm and fuzzy. What he actually means is expanding his, and his sycophants, own liberties to exploit (a.k.a. fleece) the public.
There are no “free markets” only free-for-all markets captained by crony capitalists like Bezos. They’ve been trashing small businesses for decades and creating havoc on a global scale – with many blessings from the all the cuntservatives who sold their country and race down the road for dividends and stock options.
The asswipe that banned every book that was critical of jews and muds bloviates about personal liberties. Orwell somersaults in his grave!
Hrrrrrrrmmmm.
Suspicion and sarcasm are well and truly warranted, Art.
But… the world IS changing. We’re seeing this as the legacy media slowly dispenses with the old world idiots and lunatics. CNN has been kicked in the nuts so hard they have an “innie” rather than an “outie”. Don Lemon kicked himself to the curb, as has Joy Reid. Now I hear MSNBC faces crippling lawsuits against the menopausal harpies on The View. The NYT can’t sell a subscription for love or money and is hemorrhaging money.
I think a true rebellion is finally shaping up on the left.
I think we are in a big moment of pushback against the left zeitgeist. It’s actually turning Breitbart”s saying that “Politics is downstream of culture” on its head. Right now, culture is definitely following politics. And I fucking love it.
He knows they were pushing so hard that natives were starting to get restless and be more open to the idea of White Unity so he had to pull back and throw some red meat out to settle them down a bit…It’s just too bad our side falls for the football every time even though they know deep down Lucy is going to yank it away last minute…
Speaking only for myself, I’m not falling for shit. I see these sonsabitches for what they are, and understand the game they’re playing. I just find it interesting that they change gears so openly and obviously as to be a visible knee-jeek reaction, and that so many of the sheeple do buy into it, even when they should be getting whiplash from the sudden about-face. Could these guys make it anymore obvious that they are merely being mindful of the toes they step on today because they might be connected to the ass they have to kiss tomorrow?
We are the few for sure Brother…
I don’t know…
After all, I saw a pic of Ramaswamy in a stetson and a texas flag jacket.
I’d say that was proof that he was on our team, wouldn’t you?
What is good for Ramaswamy is good for Ohio! And what is good for the Washington Post is good for Bezos!
To be honest, I think we should be proud that our values have made such great inroads with the billionaire class, and we should be humble enough to follow wherever they lead us.
Liberty and free markets mean different things to different people. To a real American, liberty means the right to speak your mind, follow your religion, associate with your own, and control what’s yours. To a leftist, it means the right to cross dress, have your pronouns respected, mutilate your children, and smoke weed. To an American, free markets mean the right to run a business or ply a trade without Swarms of Officers to harrass our People, and eat out their Substance. To a globalist, it means the right of the corporate managerial elite to send your jobs to India and China without interference from tariffs, or to hire wetbacks for starvation wages.
Excellent points. Like all others here, I don’t trust Bezos or this supposed change in editorial policy. Given how broadly and differently the stated beliefs can be interpreted, it’s merely notable (and totally unsurprising) that the current employees are reeeeeeing.
Uh-ho, is Lauren Sanchez in trouble? She embarrassed the hell out of anyone at the Inauguration by letting the aging sisters out without supervision. I thought Zuckerberg’s eyes would need surgery and I am sure that his Chinese wife has his balls locked up with no release keys. Trump is finding conservatives under every damned rock no matter he digs. I guess they were so deeply buried that they couldn’t speak. Elon can’t hire enough autistic 19 yr olds to keep up with government corruption, and I keep waiting to hear about neck stretching for the most well off. I guess Mr. Bezos is ready for his close up Mr. DeMille.
The Post has a declining online and print subscribers. Bezos overpaid for the piece of excrement the Post is these days. He could shut it down today if he wanted to do it, but, I guess he wants to rehab his image? Maybe? It’s all good entertainment.
The best way to control the opposition is to lead it yourself. I view this and all the other, “I’ve had a change of heart,” conversions as the next play in the playbook. The Post has been steadily losing readers since Bozo took it over. By claiming the Post is now all about muh freedom and liberties, they will now try to lure back the Magatards who think we’re “winning,” and will be able to feed more “trust the plan” pablum into their soft little brains.
You are spot on. That’s the whisper I’ve been getting from all the “housecleaning” at the left-stream media and their oligarchs. “Umm, so if NOBODY watches our “programming”, then no one will be getting “programmed”, so we’ll include conservative talking points, and win back an audience and then we’ll be back in the “programming” business.
Gavin “earned my seat at the kids’ table by being an idiot lightweight” Newsom is going to start his own podcast and he’s gonna put “conservative voices” on it!!! Yeah, ok. Hahahahahaha……
Chief among such “conservatives voices” will be the ZioClops, no doubt. I only have two legs to pull, and Zuckerberg and Bezos are already tugging on those, Gavin.
I don’t trust anyone who can’t say the word nigger.
Now there’s a purity test I can get behind. That, and/or openly tackling the Jew Question.
i can tell he’s lying! the text is moving.
LOL!
I don’t know if you have noticed, but the intellectual ideologues inside the most extreme Free Market and Personal Liberty movement ever, The Libertarians, all have gov’t funded university positions. And they ALWAYS have had them. And any of them who do not, at the moment, have gov’t funding, are either funded by NGO’s with gov’t funding, or have free internet in their mom’s basement.
There is absolutely no substitute in the inevitable march for liberty, freedom, and human dignity than gov’t funding. Just ask BLM, the Patriot Front, Catholic Charities, and all the other conglomerations of supermen who are fighting for Freedom, Justice, and the American Way.
Thank god that Jeff Bezos is now on (((our side))). Maybe the CIA folks who fund and read his paper will now see the light and Make America Great Again!!!
The hollow-moon lizards proclaim:
Today : “Peace and freedom and feed the hungry children.”
Tomorrow : “Let’s you and him fight!”
.
Would the tiny sombrero skorpian change its six million spots?
Possible, but unlikely.
“..hollow-moon lizards..” is a New one on me. I always thought that the “Reptilian Aliens from the Strange-Matter Universe” was a rational explanation for how (((they))) don’t act (or often look) like Humans from Planet Earth.
He’s reading the room.
