As usual, the longer we go without the “suspect” being named, the more likely it is a member of a problematic demographic group. The media is nothing if not predictable and consistent.
Things are off to a great start already in 2025. In the space of just over 45 minutes shortly after midnight there were four separate shooting “incidents” in Indianapolis despite the horrific weather we had in Indiana yesterday, cold and pouring rain almost all day.
IMPD investigates multiple shootings to kick off 2025
The first took place at 12:12 a.m. on the southeast side of Indianapolis. Officers responded to the 4400 block of Madison Avenue for a reported shooting.
Officers found a person awake and breathing. Preliminary information indicated this may have been an accidental self-inflicted shooting.
Around the same time, officers were called to another incident on the east side. Police were sent to the 3900 block of Millersville Drive where they found a person suffering from gunshot wounds.
The victim was awake and breathing, police said.
Just before 12:30 a.m., police said a person showed up at IU Health Methodist Hospital after being shot. The individual was awake and breathing at last check, IMPD said.
The fourth reported shooting happened just before 1 a.m. on the west side. A man told police he was attending a New Year’s party when shots were fired. He suffered a graze wound to the shoulder.
Not to worry, we have been assured that violent crime is down in Indy.

Maybe I need to give that old Timbuk 3 song a listen, it’s been quite a while. That was one of those odd little diddies that sounded upbeat musically, but was coming from a pretty dark place lyrically.
