I won’t say Happy New Year as I doubt it will be a happy one. Nor will offer any pithy predictions for the year, once more I will turn it over to Clubber Lang.
Instead of pithy predictions some general observations.
If my theory holds true that Trump was installed intentionally in order to then let the spinning plates all fall and blame it on Trump as the scapegoat (See: Setting Up A Scapegoat?), that would mean we are in the next phase of that plan as we enter 2025. Perhaps the most damning piece of evidence? In 2020 Joe Biden allegedly received more votes than any other Presidential candidate in American history by a huge margin, with the farcical number of 81,283,501 votes. 81 million people voted for a Mr. Potato Head? Where did all of those “voters” go when Literally Hitler was on the ballot again, threatening to force women to wear Handmaiden costumers? Poof they vanished like a popcorn fart in a whirlwind. Millions of “people” simply didn’t show up to “vote”? Oh, ok…..
After a relatively quiet 2024 where most things were still limping along, there are ominous signs a’plenty. That “bird flu” nonsense keeps dancing around the periphery with occasional stories popping up in the news with what seems to me to be greater frequency. There are lots of ugly economic indicators strongly suggesting that the media has been working hand in glove with the Federal government to mask just how bad things are in America, hiding the ugly truth about inflation and lying about the job numbers which show that most of the “new” jobs have gone to foreign workers and that Whites are rapidly being pushed out of the workforce thanks to DEI which is alive and well in spite of the obituaries that normies keep writing.
The useful idiot shock troops in antifa and black Lives Matter didn’t all move to Canada, they probably don’t realize it but they have been shelved temporarily. I expect to see a resurgence in the mostly peaceful rioting and looting.
Around the world things are unstable of course. Ukraine is winding down and Israel is running out of Palestinian women and children to butcher. Those might have just been appetizers. The Ukraine war was only ever going to end with a Ukrainian surrender unless the West got (more) directly involved. The same with the “war” in Gaza, with the U.S. preventing the “global community” from interfering it was always going to be a slaughter, that was the plan all along.
Honestly I don’t know with any confidence anything specific that I expect to happen in 2025. Maybe nothing will happen but then again things seemed pretty quiet going into 2020 and we all know how quickly the wheels came off. Expect the worst and at least you might be pleasantly surprised. Fail to prepare for the worst and you might be very unpleasantly surprised. Or dead.
Greetings, AS!
My current mantra: “A Pessimist is Never Disappointed.”
This should serve me in good stead–at least for the 1st Quarter of 2025.
A pessimist never wins either though because they don’t have hope for the future so why give a damn about anything…
I get what your saying. Maybe it it isn’t fair to call myself a pessimist in the classical sense. If that were the case, I wouldn’t still get up everyday and do what I do, nor make preps for bad shit potentially happening. So I must have some hope for the future, I just bury it under a massive load of heavily tempered expectations.
In any case, a sincere Happy New Year to you and all the gang here. We made it this far, and that’s something in a world as screwed up as it is.
I will wish you a Hopeful New Year Brother and Hope it’s a Happy One😉
Wells, it’s only 1pm local time on new years day, and I’m already suitably amused by a cyber truck burning up at the front entrance of the Trump Hotel Las Vegas, as I type this. Story is on zerohedge, with video from Twitter.
Looks like 2025 is going to be lit, as the kids say.
Too bad it didn’t burn the whole hotel down that would have been hilarious…
I imagine it’ll do a lot of damage to the front entryway and porte cochere, since it was parked *right* there. The thing was already fully engulfed in the video clip, and unless the LVFD can hook it and drag it out into the clear, it’s going to burn hot in that spot for a long time. Just the (at least) several minutes it takes for a FD response to the scene could allow for a lot of damage to the front of the building, even though it looks like there are sprinkler heads in the outdoor overhang.
Yea water isn’t going to put that out though unless it was foam in those heads…
Blame Trump and by extension conservatives.
Robert A Heinlein: optimist by temperament, pessimist by policy.
Apocaloptimist: someone who knows it’s all going to shit but still thinks things will turn out okay.
And fog with particles and precipitate that is reminiscent of water pollution foam I used to see in rivers (70’s). Mostly showing up near both coasts. Global wind carrying pollution (or whatever) around the world? Gee wonder which country is the largest polluter?
“Oh, yeah. Oooh, ahhh, that’s how it always starts. Then later there’s running and screaming.”
– Jurassic Park
Oh and fantastic 2025 baby. Much better than all the baby Yodas.
Hi, Arthur et all. Got a essay up on CounterCurrents that’s good read in light of your Tech Right/neocons post: it shows how if the white world would end all immigration it would actually raise world living standards, even for sh%thole nations, in the long run (it was originally up on Occidental Observer a while back but got much more relevant with the Musk-implosion); link below.
https://counter-currents.com/2024/12/how-economic-and-ethnic-nationalism-by-white-and-east-asian-nations-raises-world-living-standards-and-how-open-borders-and-multiculturalism-lowers-them/
Assuming that the worst things that can happen are going on a sea cruise, winning the powerball jackpot and finding out a deceased relative bequeathed a 79 Ford Highboy with the 460, a 4 speed manual, black, steel rims and raised white letters, then I am preparing for things like that. Otherwise, I’ll be loading up on bitcoin, high tech anything and seeing if I can find an all-electric duece-and-a-half.
Which is more important: a major economic collapse or blaming Trumpenstein and conservatards for it? If the former does actually occur the latter will be guilty of aiding and abetting it’s creation!
When the orange wall-humper and his assigned cronies take office you won’t be able to hold your nose with a hydraulic clamp. Trump chumps better rustle up some more excuses cos’ it’s gonna be bad – real bad!
Happy Jew Year.
I expect to ascribe plenty of blame for our economic destruction to Trump. He will put his foot on the accelerator of deficit spending to try and jump start the economy, which will quickly manifest as even more runaway inflation. And if the market shows gains, he’ll brag about it as though it is a reflection of reality (which it isn’t) for those of us out here merely trying to survive and hold onto a modestly decent existence.
God forbid the bird flu gets legs and turns into another COVID like situation, with all the attendant bullshit spending that was justified (and which we couldn’t afford the first time) we much less to give it a repeat performance of limitless money to big pharma/medical industrial complex, other corporate handouts and stimmy check crumbs for the rest of us. How many are better off now – after PPP and those $1200 checks – than before, now that rampant inflation in damn near everything has kicked our asses? Go ahead, be honest.
Birx and other of Fauci’s henchmen are already pushing the need for more testing and talking about that there is already a bird flu vaccine (TM). Its coming. My guess is right about Jan 21st.
What blows me away is that the ruling class has become so stupid and sclerotic that their play book only has about a half dozen scenarios to try and play anymore. It’s like Hollywood writ large, a bunch of geriatric pervert fucks churning out substandard product that is nothing but a half assed rehash of something they’ve already done multiple times. We’ve barely come out of the COVID era, and now they want to run a repeat of the same thing. And the most disgusting part (to me, anyway) is how many people will go right along, with nary a single question asked to challenge the official narrative.
Michael Yon is fond of saying that generally the elites are an uninteresting lot and not too intelligent in the main. Yeah some folks just gobble it up. Its amazing the number that all the public schooling did on the brains of a lot of people.
Who is up for a get together this year…Bueller, Bueller, BUELLER…
I’d like to think I can swing it, but a little bit early to say yet, work is still heavy (miraculously, given economic headwinds) and I’m trying to capitalize on that trend as long as possible before the bottom falls out. As well, I need to replace my truck and have some personal/health stuff that really needs to be fully resolved before I go galavanting off on a “vacation”. Have been working towards that, but progress has been slow. We shall see.
