An especially vibrantly diverse carjacking in California!

A man was zip-tied at gunpoint and set on fire by at least three people that stole his vehicle late Wednesday in Northern California, according to the Sutter County Sheriff’s Office.
The man had originally stopped to help a woman that flagged him down for help, sheriff’s officials said.
That sounds like more effort and planning than you usually get from low motivation Looter-Americans so I kept on reading. Ah ha!
The victim “perceived” the woman and men that robbed and attacked him to be of Middle Eastern origin, according to sheriff’s officials.
I chortled that they put “perceived” in scare quotes. On the other hand, why would you set someone on fire unless they knew who the victim was.
Less funny is that you can’t even stop to help a woman who appears to be a stranded motorist. The high trust society that most of us grew up in is long gone and now only suckers are thinking of others.
When everyone has a cell phone there is no reason to stop for stranded motorists. Moreover, if you do stop, most people will be fearful of you rather than grateful. Only way I’m stopping is if I witness a crash and it looks bad.
Probably the smart money is to drive on half a mile and then call for someone to help them.
More to this story.
Kind of like that hammer attack in NORTHERN CALIFORNIA.
I doubt we will hear about the aftermath but this sounds shady as hell
It’s been a standard trope in SHTF fiction for a while now – bad actors using a woman or child as bait to get the ever-helpful and ever-gullible ‘good guy’ to stop and let down his guard. When people say only hard men will survive, they too often think just physically strong and capable. But sentimentality and casual trust of the stranger – which is already foolish and deadly – requires a hardening of the heart and primacy of the rational over the emotional.
Yep, I’ve been banging that drum for a long time. Hard hearts and minds will be at least as important as hard bodies and stacked ammo.
Be especially careful stopping for darkies.
I would stop for dusky hued motorists although I might slow down to laugh and point
But they identified as car owners who wanted to give the gentleman the blessings of heat. Such good people.
A few years ago I stopped on a hwy once but my spidey sense went up so parked in a manner and kept the engine running in case. As soon as they said highway patrol told them to call a wrecker as well I bolted and will never stop again
