Someone on Twitter mentioned “sleeper cells” this morning and it got me thinking.
I talked about the “sleeper cell” bogeyman in March of this year, Very Sleepy Sleeper Cells, and wondered why nothing had happened as we have been warned for decades about these Islamist sleeper cells and yet even when we attacked Iran with an unprovoked assassination of her leaders, and a school full of little girls for good measure, these “sleeper cells” hadn’t struck.
That was March and here we find ourselves on the cusp of October and….
Nothing.
I guess you could assume that the FBI has been doing a masterful job of catching these guys before they could act, and then….um…just not telling anyone about it. Then again my position is that the FBI very rarely “solves” any crimes that they didn’t first incite, help plan and provide funding for.
So maybe not.
While casualty reports from Iran are scarce and/or suppressed by the U.S. media, it is pretty safe to assume that thousands of civilians have been killed from the beginning of the not-a-war until today. I am not sure what else the U.S. could do to provoke these mythical sleeper cells.
It isn’t like Islamists have a moral objection to killing civilians in terror attacks, obviously. While it is certainly true that a lot of Americans have been killed by Iran directly and via proxies, although nowhere near the number social media shills would have you believe, it is also true that most of those died in the Middle East. Our big supposed opponent from 9/11 forward has been Al-Qaeda and that organization was led by Sunni Muslims like Osama bin Laden while Iran is a Shia Muslim nation.
The question remains, do these sleeper cells even exist and if they do what exactly are they waiting for? As I wrote in the linked piece above it isn’t like it would be hard to figure out targets for mass casualty events, all over the country during the summer there are a wealth of large gatherings, festivals and sporting events, concerts and parades, that offer incredibly soft targets where it would be easy for a half dozen guys to kill hundreds in short order.
Perhaps they don’t need to exist. America is about to elect the first ever (openly) Muslim Senator. There are currently 5 Muslims in the House of Representatives or barely 1% so Muslims are actually a little underrepresented per capita. That is a far cry from the number of jews in Congress, 10 in the Senate and 25 in the House. Yet it feels like Muslims have a far outsized influence on America than their actual numbers would suggest. More on that in an upcoming post.
Maybe I am wrong and they are out there waiting on something to strike but despite the ample provocations they haven’t yet. Whatever the reason, either these cells don’t exist and never did or they did exist but they decided that dying for jihad wasn’t all that appealing.
I think the FIB is not all that concerned about mooslimb sleeper cells these days because they are instead focused (and rightly so) on that greatest of domestic threat, namely White nationalist groups. You know, patriotic red-blooded Americans like you and me, who are undoubtedly banding together for the purpose of planning and carrying out all kinds of murder and mayhem. Why ? Because the FIB says so, that’s why.

“Sleeper cells” are a red-herring and a distraction or feint from the genuine axis of attack being waged upon the U.S. and the West, which is so-called “civilization jihad.” The infiltration and subversion of society by Muslims and Muslim groups on a gradual, on-going basis such that virtually every institution is compromised. The government, the military, education, culture, etc.
The existence of such an effort has been known since the FBI raided the home of a prominent Muslim in Falls Church, Virginia, in the 1990s and discovered a copy of the so-called “Explanatory Memo” of the Muslim Brotherhood, outlining the plan in detail whereby they would infiltrate the U.S. and bring it down from within.
Classic military tactics. By using occasional, highly-spectacular terrorist/jihad attacks, the enemy are distracting the authorities and the people from their less-conspicuous main effort.
