The Iran war narrative keeps changing at a dizzying pace, like a toddler hopped up on Mountain Dew. One moment everything is fine, the next tankers are on fire, and the next it is being renamed The Strait of America which makes complete sense. Last week Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent took this to the next logical step, claiming that we didn’t want that Strait anyway and it would be obsolete in just a couple of years….
Bessent Says Hormuz Will Be “Worthless Piece of Water” In Two Years
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent told the audience at the Group of 20 finance ministers’ meeting in Asheville, North Carolina, that Iran’s ability to weaponize the Strait of Hormuz will be reduced to zero because “oil will be going through pipelines across the land.”
“Iranians are trying to use the Strait of Hormuz as a chokepoint. It’s not a chokepoint for the US, but it is for many other countries. That will be bypassed in 2 years. In 2 years, the Strait of Hormuz will be a worthless piece of water. The oil will be going through pipelines across the land,” Bessent said.
Bessent’s comments this morning should come as no surprise to readers, since we’ve detailed the existing pipelines that bypass Hormuz and the new pipeline projects planned by allied Gulf producers.
Oh well that is a relief! The Zerohedge story was accompanied by this graphic, pay attention to the yellow line indicating an oil pipeline (in the blogging world we call that “foreshadowing”)

Keeping in mind that I have no military experience and am not a strategic mastermind of any sort, still I have to say when I read that last week I was skeptical because it seems to me that anything fixed in place (like a pipeline) is awfully vulnerable and a lot easier to hit than a moving ship, even a slow one like an oil tanker.
Then look at the pipeline path from Abqaiq to Yanbu. That is a whole lot of mostly empty desert….

Call me alarmist but that doesn’t seem like a great idea if you are concerned about attacks on the oil supply.
Sho nuff….
US, Saudi Officials Confirm Kingdom’s East-West Pipeline Attacked By Drones Out Of Iraq
No one could have predicted this!
Open source satellite imaging has shown the crucial ‘Hormuz bypass’ East-West oil pipeline that cuts straight across Saudi Arabia has been on fire. A some 80km to 100km giant smoke plume has been observed. The damaged section is said to be located near the town of Al Mesba’ah.
The smoke plume was visible from space…

As this is happening the Houthis have apparently seized the entire Red Sea coast of Yemen including Perim Island/Mayyun which is clearly a strategically important island….

This could mean that the Strait of Hormuz and the Red Sea are now very vulnerable.

The Saudi pipeline is now closed according to reports: “Riyadh In Difficult Position”: Saudis Shutter Critical East-West Pipeline After Drone Attacks

If you listen to the administration and MAGA plan trusters, this doesn’t matter and oil is flowing from the Middle East like never before. Checking in with Grok and utilizing non-U.S. shill sources, that isn’t exactly true.

From almost 50 tankers per day last Sept/Oct to less than 2.5 per day in August and so far in September. While we are told that all is well, all is in fact not well at the pump with Labor Day weekend gas prices the highest they ever have been recorded. We went from gas prices under $3/gallon to pretty consistently over $4 every since this stupid war kicked off.

While most of us use regular gas, diesel prices are through the damn roof hitting an all-time high.

That isn’t a big deal, it isn’t like everything we buy is transported by trucks using diesel or by trains pulled by engines that are powered with diesel.
Some of the high diesel prices also has to do with Russian diesel production being heavily damaged by Ukrainian drone attacks aided by U.S. intelligence and the fact that U.S. refineries are running at 98% capacity with basically no room to increase production after years of shutting down new refinery construction.
This will ripple throughout the economy. Everything will cost more to make and sell. Local Amish pallet shops are paying more for lumber because it costs more to truck the lumber to their shops and in turn they are raising prices and adding fuel surcharges to loads going to customers. That is just one supply chain component but it applies to everything.
While a major campaign issue in 2024 was inflation, the Trump 2.0 administration has made everything much worse as a result of the foolish attack on Iran. Our continued support of the Zelensky regime in Ukraine in a war they cannot win isn’t helping either. Now the Orange Man is talking about giving everyone $5,000 if the Republicans retain control of Congress in November, despite there being no money for that and that injecting a trillion and a half bucks into the hands of consumers paid for by debt would cause inflation to skyrocket even more. Anyway we are still waiting on the last few promised checks from Trump. Any day now….
It might not feel like it right now but things are much worse than anyone is letting on and the seemingly endless credit fueled consumption model can’t keep the lid on forever.
“,,,the Trump 2.0 administration has made everything much worse as a result of the foolish attack on Iran.” Money quote for today, 09/12/2026. What this arrogant, senile, draft-dodging blowhard and his minions do not realize is the Sword of Damocles which will drop subsequent to the midterms. Sporty times in 2027 for sure. Plan accordingly.
It will be ugly come January and more so in 2029, and I won’t shed a tear if Don and his whole family end up on trial.
hey Dweeze – want a laugh? Go to the ‘based black man’ post and watch “Michael” exchange with Brother Lineman – especially the part about his “office job”. Want to bet if ‘Michael’ had to join Lineman in his ‘office’ that his pants would be as full of shit as his opinions are? Man, I Crack myself up…
I read it. I have broken bread with my brother, Lineman. As far as the Tiny Hats are concerned, my mom went back to work to help put my brother and me in Catholic School when the Tribe took over LASUD. At the time, the LAFD did not pay overtime, and my dad would C-shift every chance he got. Christmas Caroles became verboten and we had to include a dreidel melody. Arithmetic took a back seat. Then, you had Tribe realtors doing “block busting” during the 60’s. And in college, the SDS was run by Jewish Marxists. It was a long march to their Tikkun Olam. Now, SoCal is a war zone, and this is what the Tribe creates everywhere they settle. Just look at New Yawk. Res ipsa loquitur, OG.
At some point we enter a fire sale as the nation’s creditors foreclose. Everything must go. That will make the Purge look like a church picnic.
The wheels aren’t off yet but they are starting to wobble pretty badly
General Patton said “Fixed fortifications are monuments to the stupidity of man”. And what are we to do in the purported two years, until the straight is rendered “worthless”? Especially since Iran retains the ability to launch missiles and drones at will, making it easily possible for them to destroy any infrastructure that exists, or is now being built, to bypass the straight? And what if Iran chooses to start hitting other critical infrastructure like desalinization plants? As bad as oil shortages are, the loss of potable water is a far bigger and more immediate disaster for countries in the Middle East.
We are now in the terminal stage of this matter, as everything Trump (and the Gulf States) try to do now to alleviate the pressure from this “war” just makes the situation worse for the so-called good guys. Iran, meanwhile, seems fairly unconcerned about the hits they’ve taken, as they are still actively attacking high value targets. How long can they last? And is that longer than the time the US economy (and that of Europe) can survive under the crushing sight of oil and fuel at these price levels?
Looks to me like a lot of people – who aren’t Iranians – are about to find themselves shit outta luck.
Iran has actually been pretty restrained but if Trump does something really stupid a lot of Arabs and jews alike are going to be looking for fresh water
General Patton said “Fixed fortifications are monuments to the stupidity of man”.
Patton never saw what the Iranians built and I would say it’s serving them pretty well…
Yes, and to be clear, I wasn’t referring to what Iran has built, but what their neighboring countries have built out to try and lessen their reliance on dealings with Iran. Iran is kicking ass and taking names, while everyone else pretty well has to stand around with their dick in their hand, since there is no effective defense against what Iran is hitting them with.
Yea you were clear Brother…
Ok, I think I was misreading your previous comment a little bit. Just wanted to certain my intent wasn’t missed. Sometimes the way I frame an idea can get a little obtuse.
All good Brother…
I came home this morning & had an advertisement piece hanging on the front door knob. It was from the Republican Party with a picture of Trump on it. It said, “WE ARE WINNING, VOTE REPUBLICAN”. On the back was a bunch of political bullshit about why we were winning. I’m sure you know what I did with it.
Was it even useful for that???
Two words: paper cuts. You don’t one one there.
Yea might sting a bit…😉
There isn’t a one of them I would vote for at this point other than maybe Massie and of course he is on his way out
Wow, so many fairweather “patrots”.
And it would be better with whom?
It wouldn’t be better with anyone. That’s kind of the point, that the FUSA has reached the stage of dysfunction where the only way out is collapse. Nobody that is offered to us to vote for will be worth a pinch of coon shit.
Trump was really our best, last hope and he seems to have seen the futility of even trying and instead is stuffing his pockets along with everyone else
At this point, I’d vote for the winner of the special olympics. I mean, he may be fucking retarded but all the same, probably less harmful to the nation.
We need to quit wringing our hands and do what our ancestors taught us to do; fix the fucking problem. WHY?…….
are we hesitating to blind light the Middle East? I feel very badly for the decent people trapped there. But…..not my problem. Once and for all time-get the Middle East behind us. We have tried
-Diplomacy
-Graft
-Kindness
-Hatefulness
-Bribery, either open or hidden
-millions of the thieves migrated here.
and STILL we have an Islam/Middle East problem!!
Let’s solve it for once and all. IDGAF about the Middle East. FIX the problem. Harry Truman ended a lot of problems. Ain’t nobody afraid of Nagasaki.
Are you ready for what comes next if we did that because the world isn’t just going to set by while we launch nukes…We got away with it when we did it the first time because no one else had any…I don’t really think living where you do you really want that to happen…
Ding ding ding. Nukes are the only way we could do enough damage to Iran that they -might- finally back down. That presupposes that the US nuclear arsenal is as extensive and functional as we are led to believe. And then, if we did nuke the ever loving hell out of Iran, we will become international pariahs for creating massive nuclear contamination that will have deleterious effects so far into the future, that life as we’ve all known it will be over, effectively forever.
Iran is a mountainous country (much like Afghanistan, the graveyard of empires) and is geographically huge. It certainly isn’t Japan, and will not be easily defeated or persuaded merely by nuking two cities.
The essence of the Iran problem is that the FUSA has now bitten off more than it can chew. They are an adversary that is not only militarily capable at a level we cannot simply walk in and steamroll like we did with Iraq, once upon a time, and it is large enough, with it’s military and governance structures diffuse (entirely by design) so that destroying one region doesn’t shut them down, it simply means other quasi-autonomous command structures elsewhere in the country continue attacking with the hardware and munitions at their disposal. Bottom line is that I don’t think we can do enough damage to them to shut them down, at least not before the amount of damage they are able to inflict in return is downright ruinous for us, and likely for most of the Gulf States. In the end, it would be a pyrrhic victory.
I think he means bombing every iranian city, hamlet etc and trying to bring the population of Iran down to zero.
Remember, you need a population of at least 100.000 to have enough genetic diversity so that your population doesnt die out because of inbreeding etc.
So, could it be done regardless of consequences?
And the countries surrounding Iran will gladly take any slice of territory they can lay their hands on – radioactive or not. Remember, they have enough people – they produce 4+ babies per female, so they can easily send hundreds to their radioactive deaths while claiming the territory.
They can live through such loss periods, the western world not.
Question: Did the Allies in WWII build bombs to kill only Nazis or did they build bombs to kill people regardless of who they were?
(Allied bombs did kill resistance fighters of all countries, concentration camp inmates (Shipname: Cap Arcona near Lübeck), POW)
Stealth,
.
In a few weeks, I turn 75yo.
I notice patterns of patterns.
.
a1)
I still have no opinion about irseal, that crummy little country, turned into a glass desert.
.
a2)
A few dozen million irsealèès get ovened for real this time?
Utterly irrelevant, ThosePeople signed-on knowing full-well they are expendable under their goofy ‘Hannibal Protocol’… irsealèès killing irsealèès to save irsealèès.
.
b)
However!, turning millions of square miles of the entire region into a glass desert overlooks eighty million ILLxGxLS inside American borders.
.
Any and all ILLxGxLS ‘seeking a better life’ could easily destroy American oil refineries, instantly bringing the whole shootin’ match to a screeching halt.
No trucking, no trains, no fuel for utility crews to repair obvious targets — Patton’s ‘fixed fortifications’ — such as thousands of miles of unguarded massive regional electric lines and unguarded regional transfer stations and unguarded community transformers, etmerda.
.
No fuel, no aircraft, no ships.
But but but we still have a few sailboats, right?
A weak ‘yes’, because they rely on sails fabricated from petroleum.
Sails have a limited usable life, and that is significantly shortened by weather and sun… especially if we change our use from occasional-recreational to A! Matter! Of! National! Security! constant service.
.
Can American Tax-Payers afford to guard every American bridge and every American water-treatment plant?
The feds are bankrupt thirty-fifty trillion times over; state bureaucrats are frantically writing IOUs to pay ILLxGxLS and FATIGROES and DedicatedPublicServants© their lucrative benefits packages.
.
As invigorating as all that sounds, I doubt The Great Experiment will continue beyond the next few weeks.
So we have that going for us.
.
Just as obviously, the khazars and their brown bio-weapons are completely reliant on the generosity and calories given by Northern European Heritage folk.
The instant we terminate welfare and ‘foreign aid’ skim-scams, their individual internal clocks are ticking toward a personal Armageddon.
.
ThosePeople will self-exterminate in two generations.
I plan on being there to watch.
Minus israel and the u.s. gvmt., we can handle the illegals and communists.
They won’t do very well out here. Bet that.
Home field advantage. Easy to defend.
Are you sure that Iran is the country we should nuke? I do believe if you think back, a different country is the root of the problem.
Houthis and the Blowhard.
The absolute state of American geopolitics.
Like that reference used to listen to those guys back in high school…
New album from Houthi and the Bloward with the breakout smash hit:
“🎵🎶 I only wanna blow up you…🎶🎵”
Also featuring Let Her Die, and Hold my Land (and my strait)”.
Man, did they play the hell out of that band back around the mid 90’s, until I couldn’t stand hearing their stuff anymore.
LMAO…Yea they did do that Brother…
Of course it was pushed..it had a nigger in the band.
Who then went on to “break into” country music. As if that wasn’t arranged by the usual suspects.
The Iraqi resistance is disavowing any role in those pipeline attacks in Saudi Arabia, and given the extremely bad blood between the Saudis and the Yemeni Ansarallah (Houthis being one component of that grouping), after years of being bombed and otherwise assaulted by the Saudis and their mercenaries to the discomfiture of their people, I conclude it was their doing, and not the doing of the Iraqis.
For some time a few years back I followed the blog run by Col. (ret.) Patrick Lang, and I recall a blog post he promulgated about those Yemenis. Col. Lang had for some time served as the head of the Defense Intelligence Agency for Southwest Asia, and he had spent some time with the Houthis in Yemen to learn about them and their qualities. Long story short, they were tough as nails, and nobody’s fools, competent militarily not only as combat soldiers, but also possessing know how in rocketry – including fabrication – even back in those days, and they are obviously now not only better at that, but also are now skilled as practitioners of drone warfare.
Recently, the Saudis decided it would be a capital idea to bomb the airport in Sanaa in Ansarallah-controlled territory, breaking an existing fairly effective truce. Ansarallah is aligned with Iran; the Houthis are also Shia muslims, albeit of a different “denomination”. They look after their own interests, but when expedient, with some degree of collaboration with the Iranians. So when the rabidly Sunni Saudis pushed their luck, they judged that it was time to bring a serious smack down, and in conjunction with their having driven back offensives by Saudi mercenaries, they hit the Saudis where it would really hurt them by disrupting the pipeline, their sole means of petroleum export with the closure of the Gulf of Hormuz. And worse yet, Ansarallah advanced down the coastline and also took several islands at the mouth of the Red Sea that gave them a real chokehold on not only oil transport, but a high degree of control over shipping through the Suez Canal. Oh, and the Israelis had been establishing a military presence on the Horn of Africa right across from there, and now the little hats have something to worry about in that neighborhood. With a little ISR from friends helping with targeting, I Ansarallah could give them a really bad time. Aww, what a shame.
I’d venture to say that the shit is really hitting the fan in that neck of the woods. Don’t count on the US dislodging them from their recent strategic advances because, as should be recalled, Ansarallah chased the US Navy away from that area via rocket and drone attacks not too long ago.
Whither more brilliant strategery from the Pentagram now? Trump told us that he was indifferent to consequences for the people of the US from his (and Bibi’s) Excellent Adventure, and it looks as if he will deliver on that. Whoo hoo.
Another glorious victory for the Straussian neocons? Duh losing.
But it sounded good at U of Chicago.
Sandbox II only strengthened Iran under previous shit golem Shrubya Bush.
That 1945 victory was a white supermajority where people lied about their age to sign up.
Moshe Trumpsteinberg can F’ off to Israel to be with his people.
That’s a lot of steel to put in the ground.
here is the “thing” – and it goes back to the bullshit in southeast Asia at least –
this cunt tree does not have the national will to win, period. Do you really believe that we couldn’t ‘win’ in Vietnam? Iraq? Afghanistan? For all the nonsense about our military ability, supplies, and whatever the hell… I know if the folks in this cunt tree had the same stones our founders had, we would have brought the pain and ended all that shit most ricky-tick. And with conventional weapons.
If our magazines of missles, drones and whatever; are being lowered to levels that concern us – it means we should have used what we had to bring pain up to their surrender. Yes, civilians and infrastructure would be destroyed. Unapologetically. That is what war is. Not whatever the fuck politicians posit it as. It’s a fucking war. Unless you’re an imbecile, you wage war to win, period.
Unless and until this cunt tree grows the balls to wage war to win, we’re on our own. Because we as a nation have learned nothing.
You overlook the facts that we had NO BUSINESS in vietnam, afghanistan or iraq. We weren’t there to “win”. THERE is the problem.
Reading about family of military KIA not getting any benefits as no war has been officially declared.
Be of good cheer as retarded we’re all in this together muh democracy fairytales go up in smoke.
