One of the rules of gun safety that most of us learned in some form if we grew up around firearms goes something like this:
Be sure of your target and what is behind it.
Put another way, make sure you know what you are shooting at and also what is behind that target because even if you miss, your bullet keeps travelling.

The cop was rocking that “on the run, one handed shooting stance” that is the preferred stance of all serious, professional shooters.
A moving target, a running shooter, holding the gun loosely in one hand while mag dumping in the general vicinity of the target. I am pretty sure I would have a tough time hitting a stationary mannequin running and shooting one handed, much less someone on the move.
Who is in the buildings behind Cortez White? Or down the street? Don’t know! He is just blazin’ away, fortunately it looks like most of his misses went into the street or dirt but still a rogue 9mm round flying around an urban area isn’t a great idea.
On the other hand his reloads were sort of OK, he is better at reloading than he is at shooting which seems to be a skills gap to me.
The unnamed officer was cleared in the shooting but this part cracked me up:
Hoos also said since it happened in broad daylight with other people in the area, the officer had a clear duty to try and apprehend White and that he was a threat to everyone in the vicinity.
As the officer was blasting away randomly into the vicinity, I would say both of them were a threat to everyone in the vicinity.

Any officer-volved shooting can deteriorate very quickly. And without getting into any dick-measuring contest, I know this first-hand from my experiences as a Peace Officer in SoCal. Agencies made the switch from revolvers to semi-automatic pistols in the early 1980’s after incidents such as the NORCO Bank Robbery and other shoot-outs with real crooks. As you can see from the video, the cop’s mindset was focused on the immediate killing of the victim by the shooter and the need for an immediate reaction. And as much training as the agency is financially able to mandate, the onus of staying current, alert, fit, and focused is on the individual officer. I could go on, Mr. Sido, but I think you get my drift. Thanks for posting this. It can happen in any neighborhood.

Niggers should be treated like any other unpredictable dangerous animal. ALL of them. The risk involved with assuming any individual nigger is a “good’ one is far too great and the consequences, possibly permanent.

What actually happened
On December 26, 2016, Jimmy Groover, the 64-year-old owner of Dixie Gun and Pawn in Mableton, Georgia, shot and killed Donovan Chopin, a 30-year-old armed robbery suspect, during an attempted hold-up at his store. Surveillance footage captured the incident, showing Groover reacting quickly to two masked men who entered around 11:00 a.m., drew weapons, and threatened to kill the owner, his employee, and two customers.
Key details of the incident include:
The Confrontation: The suspects demanded the occupants get on the floor; one suspect drew a second gun, prompting Groover to draw his own weapon from behind a counter and fire, striking Chopin in the chest.
The Outcome: Chopin died at the scene after his bullet narrowly missed Groover by lodging in a door inches away. The second suspect fled the store in a silver Dodge Magnum and remained at large as of early January 2017.
