Being a native of Ohio with much of our family still living there, and my wife and I still living very close to the Ohio border, I pay attention to the happenings in that state. I have also expressed my utter disdain for Ohio’s “Republican” Governor, a loathsome worm named Mike DeWine. DeWine is the epitome of a career politicians, going from one elected office to another and leaving a trail of slime in his tracks. He gets re-elected over and over because people recognize his name and like retarded cattle will cast their votes for him because they know the name and the GOP tells them to. It’s the same reason Vivek Ramaswamy won the nomination to replace DeWine, not for any benefit he would bring Ohioans but because they know his name because of Trump.
Anyway, DeWine is on his way out and not a moment too soon but he is doing his best to jack things up as he leaves and shows that like many national Republican figures he is pretty liberal when push comes to shove.
Republican Gov. Mike DeWine says Ohio should abolish the death penalty, saying it is not a deterrent
Oh my achin’ bacon.
Republican Gov. Mike DeWine said Tuesday that Ohio should abolish the death penalty, saying it is no longer a deterrent to violent crime, confirming his change of heart on the policy he helped write as a state legislator 45 years ago.
The term-limited governor has repeatedly postponed scheduled executions in the state. He said during a news conference that federal and state data indicate the death penalty does not deter violent crime.
“I no longer believe the death penalty is a deterrent to murder,” The 79-year-old governor said.
He continued: “I believe Ohio should abolish the death penalty.”

First, my extensive clinical studies have proven beyond a doubt that 100% of executed felons do not commit subsequent crimes. A recidivism rate of 0% is quite impressive. They also don’t incur endless expenses to the taxpayers to house, feed and provide health care for them once the execution is complete. The idea that law abiding citizens should be on the hook to pay for violent felons in perpetuity is obscene and yet another example of how our “justice” system is intentionally skewed to benefit law breakers at the expense of the law abiding.
Second, of course it doesn’t serve as a deterrent. Even if someone is sentenced to death, the odds of them being actually executed are vanishingly tiny. Between judicial interference, endless delays and the decent chance of some faggot like Mike DeWine refusing to execute people sentenced to death under the laws of their state, your odds of being struck by lightning are only slightly worse than your odds of actually being executed for a heinous crime when sentenced to die.
Third, this is a class bait-and-switch by completely redefining the argument.
The death penalty is not primarily intended to deter crime, that is what jail is for.
The death penalty is retributive justice to enact the ultimate penalty for the very worst, unforgivable crimes.
If you knowingly and willingly take the life of another person, your own life is forfeit and human societies for as long as we have had societies have understood the power and the necessity of putting some people to death. Murdering someone, or if I were in charge this category would include a slew of other crimes from child molestation to people repeatedly convicted of violent crimes, is a sign that you simply cannot ever be allowed to re-enter society, nor should you.
If you cannot be “rehabilitated” then you should be eliminated, posthaste upon sentencing.
Someone who murders or molests a child simply is someone who has violated the most rigid laws of humanity. If the stark finality of murder does not deter someone, neither will jail time or even execution. The reason we kill them anyway is to set right the imbalanced scales caused when they committed this worst of all crimes.
Me being me, I would be remiss if I didn’t also plug my belief that a gruesome, humiliating public execution would in fact deter crimes. Seeing Da’Lando swinging in the public square with his eyes devoured by birds would give even those among us with the least impulse control some pause. How many White women were harassed and pawed after Emmett Till met his end?
Fortunately the Ohio legislature is unlikely to eliminate the death penalty but I have no faith that a future Governor Ramaswamy will advance the paused executions, just as I have my doubts that he will even win.
Always remember Arthur’s Irrefutable Maxim….
Politicians, ALL of them are nothing more than the upper slice of bread in the parasite sandwich squeezing middleclass America for everything they can bleed us of. Fuck politicians and their nigger parasites that constitute the “heel” of the sandwich. We’ve been far too tolerant of both classes of parasite for far too long. I un-apologetically advocate for the extermination of both. Hope they send someone for me. I’m old, I go 2 for one it’s a solid win and hopefully, motivation for other men to finally stand the fuck up.
