About a month ago I posted about former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett declaring “Turkey is the new Iran”, As Predictable As The Sun Rising In The East…., where it certainly seemed like Israel was already preparing for case to go after the next “existential threat”.

Israel isn’t really fighting “Iran’s terror regime”, they are letting us do that while they attack Lebanon in Bibi’s insane quest for a “Greater Israel”.
While I don’t think Israel intends to attack Turkey (directly), I do think that they would consider it if they could get away with it. I also think that if this fiasco with Iran had gone differently they would be more likely to target Turkey. The big issue is that with Turkey in NATO, at a minimum the U.S. would hopefully not join in, and given how toxic the Israeli relationship with Europe has become it is not inconceivable that NATO would actually come to the defense of Turkey.
Anyway, I am not looking for an attack on Turkey in the near future but even if Iran was magically defeated (really defeated, not defeated for the 87th time on “Truth” Social), it wouldn’t be long before Israel was looking for the next nation to attack. Their entire shtick depends on “We are on the verge of destruction” to justify their endless expansion.
Meanwhile Vance came back empty handed from Islamabad, no shocker there as the U.S. really has no stick and refuses to offer a carrot. This 48 hours to accomplish the mission is up to around 6 weeks and who knows what Trump has planned.
