When you pay attention to social media, not just chasing the latest trending topics but actually watch what is being said, you quickly start to see patterns emerge. These patterns tend to be coordinated, people share a collage of screencaps all the time showing multiple accounts using almost identical talking points.
It happens all the time on the NPC left but it also happens among “conservatives” and that has been on full display especially over the last few days in the wake of the attack on Iran.
My standard retort:
“47 years” has become the new “6 Million”
It is a magical number that acts as an excuse for pretty much anything. I doubt many of the people invoking the “47 years” thing even know what they are referencing. Regardless, 1,000 Americans over the last 47 years is certainly a lot, around 21 per year.
On the other hand, since the beginning of the opioid crisis, specifically the rise of synthetic fentanyl, there have been somewhere in the neighborhood of 500,000-600,000 Americans who died of overdoses. That is just a dozen years and averages out to over 40,000 dead Americans every year since 2013. For comparison purposes, from the Revolutionary War to current day, the total of U.S. combat deaths in the history of this country is around 666,000 and most of those happened at least 80 years ago.
Fentanyl has killed approximately as many Americans as every war in American history combined over the last 250 years.
Where does that fentanyl come from? The final stages in production often happen in Mexico but the “precursor” chemicals?
China remains the primary source and manufacturing location for most fentanyl precursor chemicals. Reports from U.S. agencies like the DEA, State Department, and intelligence community (including the 2025 National Drug Threat Assessment and International Narcotics Control Strategy Report) consistently identify China as the leading supplier. Chinese chemical companies produce and export these substances, often through online platforms, e-commerce, or direct sales, despite increased regulations and export controls (e.g., class-wide controls since 2019 and further restrictions on exports to North America in late 2025). Many precursors are shipped to Mexico for final fentanyl synthesis by cartels.
Oh and lest we forget the totally innocent, nothing to see here, disappeared from the news Chinese bioweapon labs in completely legit settings: China’s Biological Weapons Labs In America. I doubt they intend to release a bioweapon in America, after all what could be worse than the bioweapons we already have in the form of subs, jeets, mestizos, Fellow Whites and random muzzies?
It isn’t like the Chinese don’t know what these chemical precursors are being used for and the ChiCom government doesn’t seem interested to stopping their production. I might even think these chemicals are being manufactured and shipped to Mexico with the tacit blessing of the Chinese government.
So, let me ask the question:
Which nation is the greater threat to America: Iran or China?
I would argue that every single incident of U.S. casualties at the hands of Iranians is the direct result of U.S. meddling in the Middle East, mostly on behalf of Israel and that has been the case since 1953 when Mohammad Mosaddegh was deposed via a coup and replaced with the Shah, who in turn was finally tossed out during the 1979 Iranian Revolution that led to the Iran hostage crisis that is the source of the “47 years”.
I was just a young pup, a yoof if you will, when Iraq invaded Iran in 1980 with the approval and support of the United States back when Saddam Hussein was our buddy. The Iran-Iraq war raged for around 8 years and included the Iraqi use of chemical weapons, something the U.S. was aware of and apparently didn’t mind at the time. Somewhere in the neighborhood of a quarter million Iranians died with hundreds of thousands more injured, many by Iraq’s chemical weapons.
China on the other hand is intentionally producing chemicals it knows will end up in the veins of Americans who are hooked on drugs, many thanks to the knowing overprescribing of opioid pain medications known to be addictive by people like the Sackler family. While people voluntarily inject the fentanyl, China makes fentanyl cheaper and far easier to produce and obtain. They aren’t killing Americans directly but they are certainly intentionally aiding in addiction and death by overdose.
So why not bomb the crap out of China and take out Xi Jinping and the ChiCom Politburo?
For that matter there are dozens of really awful governments around the world that are terrible to their people but we seem focused on Iran, although we did kidnap the President of Venezuela and the grotesque Laura Loomer, aka Larry Groomer, who for some reason has a lot of influence apparently, is clamoring for regime change in Cuba…
We all know why Iran is on the chopping block. It isn’t for “freedom” or as revenge for the Iranian hostage crisis in the 1970s or even because of their non-existent nuclear weapons program. Iran is being attacked for the same reason Iraq was attacked post-9/11, attacks planned before the first bodies were recovered from the rubble: to destabilizes large nations that challenged Israeli hegemony. No one really gives a shit about “Crown Prince” Reza Pahlavi, although he is pretty clearly a Zionist puppet. All Israel cares about is keeping any other nation in the region from being a counter to their plans.
Back to the main point. People like simple slogans, even when they don’t understand them, so “47 years” is perfect. It doesn’t require a ton of thought or consideration. It is easy to work into a tweet or a sound byte. You just keep saying it over and over and people stripped of their ability to think critically just eat it up. Pretty soon they stop associating this attack with Israel’s desire for regional hegemony and start to believe it is about revenge for something that happened almost half a century ago that most people don’t know anything about, even many of those that lived through it.
So when you see someone referencing “47 years”, it is a pretty sure sign they are either part of the propaganda machine or have such poor critical thinking skills that they don’t know they have been conditioned. Treat them with caution.

47 years, eh? Well, I’ve been around for over 67 years. I grew up with standard network news and my earliest memories of the larger world were of the Vietnam War, nogger riots, and Middle East wars. Again and again and again. And here in 2026 I’m still seeing the same slogans, the same blatant propaganda, the same sh*t about saving this or that third world sh*thole from its own people or its own government. No, none of that is in the magic constitution or Declaration or any of the writings of the ‘founders.’ Flawed Enlightenment thinking? Sure. World-wide hegemony and policeman and guarantor of ephemeral ‘rights’? Not a single word.

They now sound like the true believers we hear on outlets like CNN, but with a rightist ideology instead of leftist. It is really rather nauseating.

Fentanyl is of course an excellent weapon to weaken and destabilize the US. Which is doubtless the main reason that China is behind it. But it is certain that China is also in it for revenge. The Opium Wars (and the “Century of Humiliation”) you see.
Yes, yes, it was the British [1] and not the US per se behind the flooding of China with opium, but the Chinese understand that there’s no point in fucking with the UK any longer, seeing as they are not even close to being a competitor for global hegemon. So the US has inherited that enmity. (I know that Sinologist Gordon Chang disagrees with me about the revenge aspect. Too bad, he’s wrong.)
