This happened in a split second and Herber was left with the choice of:
- Doing what They want you to do, being victimized and nearly killed but relying on “law enforcement” to make things right which is highly unlikely.
- Doing the common sense, just and moral thing by making what amounts to a citizens arrest and detaining two suspects involved in a crime until the police arrived.
Of course the mestizo men, having learned from blacks to scream some version of “They said nigger!” are lying their asses off:
Witnesses dispute hate crime, assault charges against man after weekend crash in Zebulon
Herber, the driver of the white truck that was hit, is facing several charges including assault, kidnapping, ethnic intimidation, and the intention to terrorize others with a gun.
The owner of Smash Masters, Jessica Thompson, said she was pulling into the restaurant moments before the crash and stayed on scene until officers arrived. She believes these accusations could not be further from the truth.
“I was in pure shock. I couldn’t believe the charges,” Thompson said. “When we pulled up, there were two people on the ground and Austin was instructing them not to leave. One got away before cops came.”
Arrest warrants state Herber struck the men who were in the other car multiple times in the head, verbally threatened and assaulted them with a handgun “because of their race, color, nationality, or country of origin.”
Thompson is asking for clarity from the police department because she and several other witnesses said they disagree.
“We never saw a gun. I never saw him hit them with a gun,” said Thompson. “The only thing I saw him do was come up to them and take them by the shoulder and tell them to get back on the ground, because those individuals were trying to leave the scene.”
CBS 17 asked the Zebulon Police Department about the claims of ethnic intimidation as well as the charge to terrorize others with a gun; However, they did not provide any clarity. The police department said the driver of the car who ran away, Juan Campos, was later found and cited for failing to remain at the scene of the accident and failing to reduce speed to avoid a crash. They also did not say whether speed or impaired driving was involved.
How exactly would the Zebulon Police determine that Herber was making these men stay at the scene of an accident “because of their race, color, nationality, or country of origin” and not simply because, oh I don’t know, they were in a car that crashed into his and nearly killed him and the occupants of the vehicle? What an amazing feat of mind reading!
It makes me wonder: if a mestizo was in a similar situation and hit by a car driven by three White men that he subsequently detained, would the police assume his actions were driven by racial animus?
Of course not.
Some other information for your consideration. While the interim police chief of the Zebulon, North Carolina police department is a White guy, the Captain of the “Patrol Division” that investigates motor vehicle accidents and responds to most calls of all kinds, is one Captain Tivon Howard…
Tivon Howard has been a cop for 25 years and was a Sergeant in the 82nd Airborne so I am not suggesting this arrest on “hate crimes” charges is because he is black, just offering information.
Also the District Attorney for Wake County where Zebulon is located is one Lorrin Freeman.
She is a Democrat and has been D.A. for 10 years but is not running for re-election next year as she appears to have her eyes on a bigger office. Again just providing some context, the District Attorney being a liberal White woman with aspirations for higher office is simply another piece of information to consider.
I very much doubt that Austin Herber pistol whipped these guys although I wouldn’t have blamed him if he did. In a bad accident it is likely the two mestizo men suffered cuts and bruises so it is a case of “he said, Pedro said” whether those cuts came from the accident or from a pistol whipping but there are witnesses that contradict the claims of the two mestizo men.
It is an outrage that Austin Herber has been charged at all as he is the victim in this case. Nevertheless it is a sobering reminder that you are in racially hostile territory in most urban areas in America and even though Zebulon, North Carolina only has a population of around 7,000 people it is in a county with over 1.1. million people.
Hopefully the charges will be quietly dropped in this case and Herber won’t face an enormously expensive legal battle to clear his name after he was the victim of a car crash but I wouldn’t bet the farm on that happening.
While we were being told that big national political fights that ended up meaning nothing were what we should focus on, at the local level important political offices have been packed with liberal White women and hostile non-Whites. This has led to an environment that in many cases has as the default that Whites are the aggressor in any situation and are driven by racial animosity unless proven otherwise (a nearly impossible task).
There isn’t much we can do about it other than just being aware. If something happens and the cops show up, be cautious what you say to the police. The second you think they are looking at pointing the finger in your way, get legal representation. Don’t offer extra information that you think is “helpful” because as the saying goes “anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law”. Above all stop thinking that you live in a society where the rule of law is applied without prejudice.

Remember folks, citizens arrests only come into play for felonies. Don’t be trying to use your arrest powers for misdemeanors or even to hold witnesses to felonies or you open yourself up to kidnapping and other serious charges. I understand where this guy was coming from, all of us that live in states with significant Latino presence are sick to death of them causing vehicle accidents and then fleeing the scene BUT if no felony has been committed, just let the police handle it. In this case he MAY have been justified in tackling and holding the driver (leaving the scene of an accident that causes serious injury is a felony in most states) but he caused a world of problems for himself by detaining the passengers. Herber was a victim in the car accident phase of this but he most assuredly was an instigator in what came after and he overstepped. You can’t overstep in Clown World as a White man, you will be given no consideration whatsoever.
The hate crime charges are just egregiously over the top, but what can you expect with an AWFUL DA with political aspirations?

Reading the above Herber story causes me to consider that it may be a good idea to have my own body cam up & running whenever I am in public.

However, this may not always be the case. One incident could bring it all down abruptly. What has transpired over the years, no doubt will be a big factor in making it happen, too. History says so. Major revolutions over the past 3 centuries give more proof. For many, it is now a question of not if but when. We can only speculate on how it will all pan out.
