Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold – W. B. Yeats, The Second Coming
It seems self-evident but by their nature fringe political movements are small and on the fringe.
In the run up to the 2016 election and lasting until the 2017 “Unite The Right” rally/fedop, the “alt-right” was the talk of the political sphere but even during the heyday it was very small. It seemed to be a much larger movement because many of the autistic 4Chan types were “very online” so their perceived influence was much greater than it really was. The media loved interviewing Richard Spencer because he was the perfect bad guy, a cartoonish James Bond villain, but his influence was always very limited. Even today he barely has 100,000 “followers” on Twitter and sports a Ukraine flag in his bio. It is also weird that despite being the face of the alt-right, Spencer was never suspended on Twitter. Weird. Most people in the alt-right on social media either posted anonymously or were social misfits.
On the other side, the extreme left also seemed to have an outsized influence because they could always get a few thousand unemployed losers to show up for whatever the cause du jour to hold up misspelled signs and maybe break a few windows. Until recently that fringe was really just a fringe, most garden variety Democrat voters were just as apathetic as Republican voters until Trump and then they got riled up on social media but little else.
While it might have seemed to many of us that the fringes were larger than they actually were, that is because these people are online so much. There are still people like that, the account “Catturd2” on twitter was complaining the other day about the algorithm and wondering why he spends 12-15 hours per day on Twitter. 12-15 hours a day? There are liberal reply guys on social media, especially Twitter, that reply with frothing at the mouth insanity to everything posted by Trump. One of my Senators, Jim Banks, gets dozens of lunatics that reply to every post on Facebook, many apparently who don’t even live in Indiana. A lot of them seem to be the same people commenting on every post when his was in the House and I wonder if they even realize he is a Senator now.
In short the political spectrum has always looked like a snake that swallowed a bowling ball with two small ends and a giant middle.
As with so much in our political world that began to change in 2016 with Trump but it really accelerated once he was out of office. Even I was surprised by the lingering vitriol and likewise it seems to me that the endless lawfare, trying to jail Trump and whatever else they could come up with to keep him from a second term even to the point of trying to kill him, actually galvanized many normie voters.
The events of 2020 also contributed to this. When normies were hit with the double whammy of Covid and George Floyd, they were unprepared. One or the other maybe would not have overwhelmed them as much but both together were a 1-2 punch that staggered them. Many were completely cowed for years afterward and only recently started to come out of their stupor. If (some) normies learned anything from 2020 , and they usually learn kicking and screaming against their will, it was that their faith in institutions was misplaced and potentially lethal. Realizing they were lied to has started to radicalize many normies.
What I see happening in the early months of Trump 2.0 is that the massive, mostly not engaged, middle is flattening out and the extremes are filling up on both sides. On the left it is all about Trump on the surface but my position on Trump is that he is just a talisman for the left to focus their hatred against Whites. Whatever principles the Left used to pretend to hold have been thrown out of the window. They once were anti-war, now they are the biggest cheerleader of endless wars. They once talked about fighting The Man and the evils of big business (remember Occupy Wall Street?), now they moan about stock prices and are openly allied with globohomo corporations. They used to pretend to care about the working class but now hate and mock the White working class.
What is more ominous is that for all of their enthusiastic self-righteous bleating about “MUH DEMOCRACY!”, a large and increasing segment of the left-wing in America is perfectly OK with killing the President and his supporters to preserve “democracy”

The archived article is worth reading along with this one from the New York Post: Democrats lit the ‘assassination culture’ fuse — now their silence equals violence.
Certainly most readers have seen news stories about or even personally know leftist kooks that have bought guns and are getting some rudimentary training in their use. They claim they are worried about being rounded up but I suspect the real reason is that they are convinced they will get to use them in the Glorious People’s Revolution. None of them have ever read a non-Harry Potter book prior to getting mad at J.K. Rowling or they would know that in a new Bolshevik revolution the first thing the actual leaders of the revolution would do is take away the guns from the loons and put them in mass graves.
Left wing talk of “democracy” is completely empty and hypocritical. The Zman wrote the other day in a post on his subscriber only Substack:
Radicals since Robespierre have talked about democracy while dreaming of autocracy. Hogg believes that the only way to implement the radical agenda is through force. This is probably the only thing he has correct. This is why, for radical egalitarians, democracy is merely a bus they ride to power, and once in power, they disembark from the democracy bus.
“Popular” left-wing movements always shift immediately to authoritarianism and the revolutionaries usually get the rope.
On the right, while the Boogaloo types have been around for a long time with people writing Civil War 2.0 prepper porn since at least the 1980s, the anger levels are rising quickly. The murder of Austin Metcalf by Murder Monkey Karmelo Anthony really got people pissed but it is unlikely to really stick. On the other hand, more normiecons are openly becoming disaffected with the whole system that they have been defending for decades.

A lot of normiecons are openly calling for Trump to flat out ignore the courts and to suspend habeas corpus in order to deal with the national emergency of illegal aliens. Even normiecons understand that it makes no sense to allow tens of millions of illegals to enter the country without a hearing of any sort but then to demand each one of those tens of millions be granted a hearing before being deported. It is clear that the rule of law is not functioning in any sense in America and appealing to “The Constitution” isn’t either. Check out the normiecons at Not The Bee: So do we have a nation anymore or nah? Check out this activist judge (you may remember she sent a Christian grandma to jail last year). This chick blocked Trump’s action to require people to prove they are a citizen of the United States before voting in elections in the United States. It goes without saying that the only reason you would do that is because you want non-citizens to vote in our elections.
This seems to be ramping up with a couple of judges being arrested recently, one for harboring an illegal alien in his home and one for hiding an illegal in her courtroom. Judges being arrested is a good start.
The extremes on both sides are growing larger as more people in the middle realize that the system simply doesn’t work for the vast majority of people, and some of those migrating to the extremes realize that the system is held together by hope and duct tape and if it comes apart it will be a disaster like nothing seen before in human history. Perhaps it would be better to take the system down in a controlled demolition like Building 7 rather than waiting for the whole thing to spin out of control.
When people were talking politics for most of my life, mostly it was about nuts and bolts issues like tax rates or military spending, the extent of the welfare state or gun control or any of the other myriad of political issues that make up the political platform for both parties. That isn’t what animates conversation today. Even after some school shooting or something you get the boilerplate outrage from Everytown and a couple of anti-2A politicians but no one even bothers trying to do anything.
What dominates political conversation today is not arguing about specific policies but serious discussions about the validity and viability of the current system. For the first time in my life, there are serious conversations about whether the great American experiment has failed. It looks different depending on which side you are talking about. The right sees the system as broken and the left sees the revolution as moving too slowly. Instinctively most people seem to understand that you cannot fix a failed system by tinkering with the failed system and instead something new has to replace it.
The once solid middle ground in American politics appears to be shrinking. While most people will remain there, soporific thanks to social media and sports ball, if a critical mass is achieved on one or both fringe ends of the spectrum it could lead to something more significant. In most revolutions the majority of people are on the sidelines, it only requires the fringe to get enough numbers to do more than just mutter ominous threats on social media.
We might be getting close to that point.
When I hear people out in restaurants and other public spaces openly saying things that I was shushed and told not to discuss about 25 years ago, because it was too extreme to even be broached as a topic in private, that tells me the direction things are headed. Something wicked this way comes. Comport yourselves accordingly.
BRD, the academics call the what-is–permissible conversation, “The Overton Window.”
I’ve been breaking said window for decades–but only within my own bounds.
And, I suspect that my comments sound almost exactly like the ones you have in your own AO. What I do not have anymore are any friends on the Left; COVID ended such tenuous friendships when I fully realized that the Left (communists) want people like myself dead. In camps, maybe. But better, dead.
I no longer even trust my fellow professionals (physicians) due to their horrific non-performance since 2020 vis-a-vis untruth and Vaxx atrocities. I was one of a relatively few MDs whom I know to have signed the Great Barrington Declaration, a minimum standard of trustworthiness (IMO).
It’s lonely out here without the enjoyment, the brotherhood, the camaraderie of fellow physicians–most all hospital-based–but I am done and have made my peace.
Which is difficult to achieve because, as an aging American, the likelihood of a needed hospitalization grows, and I am committed to remaining outside of the medical system.
So be it. Carry on!
Absolutely. The Overton Window has certainly shifted a lot, both on the right and the left, in terms of what is permissible now. We have leftists openly calling for assassinations and the imposition of tyranny, and those on the hard right (like myself) blithely speaking of the need for the.mass executions of subversive leftists, if civilized society is to be saved.
I didn’t realize you were an MD, you are to be congratulated for having both the intelligence, and the intestinal fortitude to break away from the medical establishment herd during COVID, given the immense pressures to confirm to the official program. That had – and continues to have – very real professional, personal and financial consequences for many of the relatively few who had the guts to stand on their own and buck the system.
It wasn’t easy for me, and I’m just a self employed plumber whose immediate family was pretty well on the same page, but I did permanently cutoff some people I’ve known and had been ostensible friends with for years over their raging insanity that came into full view during the COVID episode. The period of 2020-2023 was perhaps the single most clarifying stretch of my life so far, as it revealed how quickly and easily an entire damn country can lose it’s mind and go off the rails. Even now with the benefit of hindsight, the entire thing seems surreal, and one almost thinks to themselves “that couldn’t really have happened the way I remember it”, and yet it was bitter, terrifying reality.
The damage done by COVID – not just the health effects (and those of the shots, which remains a largely unknown factor still) but the unnecessary, forced deaths due to the shit standard of care that was forcibly adopted under duress, as well as the psychological effects of ruining relationships and trust between spouses, family members, close friends and professional associates, cannot ever be quantified. But it is very real, and is a permanent stain on society that will remain until the last of us who personally lived through it is dead and buried.
You raise the issue of being concerned about the need for medical care as you age. I share that concern very much, and despite the fact I’ve been blessed with generally good health most of my life, now that I’m on the wrong side of 50, I do wonder how much longer my good fortune will hold out. I loathe dealing with doctors ( and the medical industrial complex in general) because of what it’s turned into. My only hope (and hope is not a strategy) is that I drop dead suddenly, even if at a relatively young age, rather than end up the victim of a slow, grinding slog through a downward spiral of miserable chronic health issues the last several (or more) years of my life.
Of course I very much believe the medical system as we have come to know it will cease to exist before too much longer, simply because it’s costs are unsustainable. We will go on trending towards less and less care for ever greater sums of money until it comes apart and ceases to be available for anyone but the most independently wealthy. Us mere proles will be forced so suffer and self treat to whatever extent we can manage. Life expectancies have already dropped, and will continue to since our medical care, and access to it, has already peaked like so many other once high standards we used to enjoy.
I already had a preview of what to expect. It was the 1960’s. Now in my 70’s, I’m getting to the point where I really don’t give a shit. Sad but true. The revolution is coming along with civil war. Battle lines are being drawn right now. Prepare accordingly & expect a sizable body count along with it. It won’t be pretty, but just possibly, bring an end to the present clusterfuck.
I’ve been hearing/reading predictions of collapse since I started paying attention, say at least 15 years now. I’ve similarly seen claims that normies are very gradually waking up to reality. All I can claim is that, in my personal experience (both in the big city suburbs and now in the rural exurb of a tiny town) I don’t see it. Those who have lived amongst and actually dealt with a significant number of non-Whites are mostly one extreme (lefty loon) or a few the other (unapologetic race realist). Discovered yesterday that the lovely and courteous lady at the local bank moved here two years ago like we did – but she had lived in a small Texas town a few hours from DFW that is 30% black. But the locals here – solid, heritage Americans, don’t seem to see it. Their strong belief in family leads them to keep and raise the occasional mulatto and accept the occasional squatemalan, not realizing that even one is too many and just heralds and facilitates the arrival of more . . . and more . . . and more.
While I (regrettably) have to agree with most of the above, I will say that “noticing” and discussion of said observations has clearly increased. Just not enough to overcome the amount of passivity and unwillingness to entertain “crime think” by those who remain NPC’s.
I really don’t think anything significant happens (or changes) until one or more of a few trigger events happens. One of the big ones is massive economic collapse, and that is certainly in the cards now. Another (which likely dovetails with the economic collapse) is government collapse. The government and the fed have been remarkably adept at staving off the worst circumstances we are – and have been – overdue to suffer for a very long time now. When they reach the point of being functionally bankrupt, and unable to pay their own salaries and benefits, the government probably falls apart. This is likely also when the loss of confidence by the masses hits full scale.
Yet another possible inflection point is war that arrives triggered either by a major domestic event, or attack by a foreign adversary. Right now I figure the former is higher odds than the latter, but we have not stopped pissing off other countries, and fucking with Iran right now is an exceedingly poor strategy, and is only being considered because it’s what Israel wants.
If we’re exceptionally lucky, we get the Soviet style collapse, where the government just kind of goes out of business, and we somehow muddle along until a workable system can be setup. I kind of doubt our luck runs that way, as the FUSA is in a far worse demographic mess than Russia was just after the USSR collapsed. Too many competing interests jockeying for a superior position will make things very unstable and very nasty.
Largely agree with what you wrote. I don’t see things somehow degrading peacefully, at least not with today’s demographics. I do think it’s not just credible, but likely, in 10-15 years with the continued rate of White population decline. I know it sounds awful and horrible, but I think I’d prefer an active crisis/collapse, with all the horrors it would entail, because it’s the only thing I can think of that might engage enough Whites to actually DO something and ensure some kind of White survival.
Race realism is one thing, loss of faith in the institutions is another. Whole lot of folks have the latter without the former
The system is collapsing and people are finally starting to realize it.
WHY did the Soviet Union collapse ?
Academics will give a bunch of BS reasons but the real answer is that people lost all faith in their system and the politicians lies and BS and the system collapsed.
The same is happening here and I equate Trump with Gorbachev. Both are/were trying to save a terminal patient with band aids. It’s too late, the patient is terminal and dying.
The scary thing is that the Soviet Union broke up but there were many very old regions that were mostly one ethnic group so they created new countries or brought back old countries.
WE have NONE of that and all races and political classes are mixed together.
Looking in my crystal ball, The South, Midwest and West will join together in a traditional USA.
The East and West coasts may join Canada in a Workers Paradise.
Time will tell.
Putting a little butter on the down-side of the pancake here (I don’t mean to be contrarian and I apologize in advance), but Bezmenov’s version is that TPTB arranged the collapse of USSR to advance global communism by allowing normies in The West to focus on China’s commie-ism, and lose (some of) the institutional suspicion of Moh-ther Ro-shuh and thereby make The West more vulnerable to khazarian conquest.
The collapse of USSR was painfully destitute for many, but it was planned and controlled for a purpose and made a few individuals and org’s a ton of wealth.
Heritage Americans are despised by the Talmudian Ruling Class, just as they hated viscerally The German Warrior Class and sent them to their deaths at the hands of the Americans, Brits and Russians.
Seems to me like the denouement of America will be much less controlled and survivable than the collapse of USSR. Maybe not, I’m just an old meat cutter so what do I know.
I do know that Trump can’t/won’t save us and that Americans clinging to institutions like rule of law and “muh constitution” are more than likely to be steeply disappointed.
The Khazars didn’t use mooslims and bla’ques to bring USSR down, just good ol’ fashioned joo-ish corruption. When the yolk breaks on FUSA we may be facing violence and terrors previously unimagined by most folks.
Above all things, joos hate God and joos hate Whites.
You make some good points.
There is no doubt that the little hats (who were a majority of the bolsheviks that overthrew and murdered the Czar and started the USSR) had a hand in it all.
Indeed look at all of the new “Oligarchs” who became fabulously wealthy after the Fall of the USSR by stealing state run property and industry.
These same scum looted the former Soviet Union during the Yeltzin years and if you look at their backgrounds … say it .. “EVERY FRIGGING TIME”.
Let’s be honest and which group is Putin part of and represents ?
The traditional Russian Orthodox Christian majority of Russia who include much of the former KGB.
The first thing Putin did was reign in these “Oligarchs” and imprisoned and had killed some of the worst ones. Isn’t it a strange “coincidence” that once he did that our media and politicians started the “Russia and Putin are EVIL” narrative ?
Haha. A strange coincidence indeed.
O.H. – That’s “Cohencidence”. FIFY.
Haha. I will remember that.

Disagree.
City-folk are the problem.
Rural folk are the solution.
.
I think most rural folk could tolerate city-folk if urbanites farmed their food and disposed of their rubbish inside city limits.
But they can’t, so we don’t.
“Lies incur a debt to the truth, and sooner or later the debt must be paid.”
Political rhetoric is driven by an inverse bell curve. The people on either end scream the loudest and most often, so that is all we hear.
Two different wings of the same bird (a vulture, perhaps).
I try not to be prejudiced…I have hate for both sides.
Same here
I watched a vid about the new mooslim/sharia goofiness in Texas yesterday. Some good ol’ key, bored, warrior piped up that “they” better watch out because “us Texans are going to get pissed pretty soon”. That one made me laugh out loud. Lotsa fatass boomers (and gen x’ers too) that think they’re going to go ’round kicking doors when CWII kicks off, but whose doors are they going to kick in? Will there be a “sag wagon” to help Mr. Lardnbutter Cellulite get from house to house? Maybe the wimmins’ auxiliary can van-pool everyone from house to house so the menfolk can save their energy for the door-kickin’.
Some militario a while back put the word on the street that militias with little to no training fair quite badly against conventional forces in conventional head-to-head scenarios.
Which means scootin’ boots is far more benefit than playing rockem sockem robots with one’s NIB AR and a P320 that’s got fifty rounds through it with OPFOR n’ shit, especially if CWII is a normal civil war where you don’t always know who’s who, and threats could come from everywhere including folks you thought “were cool”, and not like CWI which was actually a war between two nations using mostly conventional forces.
Which in turn demands that you gotta ruck or run or bike or lift weights or jump rope or something instead of watching tactical wannabees’ videos and buying more gear if you are going to be mobile enough to at least make it through the first week or so.
Mike Shelby offered recently that why the left keeps doing their bs protests is to develop a base, and that they are still formless and without energy which means they’re a ways off from being able to effectively go “direct action” in his words. That may be a little breathing room especially in contrast with the doomer prepper channels of the last several years.
Nevertheless, the New Yorker is now trying to normalize prepping and firearms ownership. (Hmm? You don’t say.) And there are fresh videos cropping up of full blown leftist meltdowns in response to the (seemingly reluctant) arrests by the FIB of a couple of judges busted for harboring illegals and gang members and even arming them in the case of Cano in NM.
I’m not too afraid of fatass, purple haired lesbians in crocs and super-sized capri pants in their 60’s. I am worried about antifafaggots that have been blooded in the Uke. And I am worried about fifty-some million illegals arming up and going fifth column. As lenin once said “the worse the better”.
And as per Jesse Kelly’s post, Trump may not know he’s the last thing we get ‘fore we get a dictator. The next ten years promises to be as ugly and brutal a time in America as there has ever been here.
“The extremes on both sides are growing larger”
Remember the words of ol’ V. I. Lenin himself: “The best way to control the opposition is to lead it ourselves”.
Anyone stupid enough to side with so-called “extremists” of the right wing deserves the cell (or boxcar?) they’ll be tossed into.
Also remember that said extremists will line (most of) you up just as fast as the commie shitlibs for harboring ‘anti-semitic’, anti-Merkan and even ‘racist’ thoughts – as will taking exception with their version of freedumb.
Authentic resistance is never advertised!
Exactly. Sun Tzu in the Art of War said: make your plans as Dark as Night, and you strike, strike like a thunder bolt
Another really Good article here, Arthur. You are correct in Observing the ‘Center is Flattening Out’, towards the Extremes… I see this as a Good Thing, particularly how more ‘normiecon’ Whites are waking up to the judeo-bolshevik Control of all “Institutions” of this Society. The ability for people like myself to “Speak their Mind” about jews and niggers, openly, has been increasing at an Exponential Rate; I can say things WRT politics today that would have had every White within earshot expressing ‘disapproval’ if not outright hostility.
Whether this ‘direction of the Overton Window’ goes Far enough, Fast enough, remains to be seen, but I’m more Optimistic now than say, 20 Years ago, that the Collapse/Reorganization of the Nation will actually occur in my Lifetime.

I met a pal for Sunday brunch at a very busy restaurant.
After catching up…
her : “We should talk about something serious…”
me : “What should be done about the jewish problem?”

Instantly, a dozen nearby diners shifted their chairs slightly to listen in.

The enthusiasm was encouraging!

1861, a. lincoln [spit] illegally suspended habeas corpus.
Only congress-critters can do that.

No judge has any authority over either congress-critters or the President.
This’s the principle behind Separation Of Powers.
.
Accordingly, President Trump is duly authorized — ‘required’ — to ignore judges as if they and their little hissy-fits do not exist.

The system is engineered/designed and was created to not work.
The only purpose of the system is financing that certain old familiar ‘foreign influence’ we cannot criticize

As such, I think we can extrapolate any and all financial collapse (s) also benefit that certain old familiar ‘foreign influence’ we cannot criticize.
It is falling apart. And will there be a core to rebuild from?
It’s our job to be the core. To do that, we have to first win the fight, whatever kind of fight it is, and then enough of us have to survive to pass it on.
