I don’t watch much in the way of sportsball these days but I did watch a highlight reel of Duke’s Cooper Flagg and damn son, that guy is something else.
I read somewhere that he is likely to leave after one year and be the #1 draft pick, the first White guy to go #1 since something like 1977.
He is just getting better and he already can dunk like a monster, his jump shot is getting better and he is a pretty decent defender. More importantly he is White and American with a pronounceable and cool name so he might do for the NBA what Caitlin Clark did for the WNBA and give it a little boost. I would point out that even in Indiana where Clark plays for the Fever in Indianapolis the hype is all but evaporated. Some chick who I guess is the best player in the women’s NCAA basketball got injured the other day and I had never even heard her name. As I predicted the surge in interest in the WNBA was a) driven entirely by Caitlin Clark because she is White and b) was very short lived. If it weren’t for her who would people be paying attention to? That ghetto skank Angel Reece? Please. The WNBA is going back to a niche entertainment played in empty arenas to tens of lesbian fans.
Cooper Flagg has lots of promise but I doubt he will be enough to save the NBA which has become unwatchable, a downward careening collapse that I start with Alan Iverson, a punk 2G who laughed about the unimportance of practice. Flagg notwithstanding the decline in White guys paying attention to sportsball is nothing but positive for us. Sportsball used to be fun for me but now it is just a giant distraction among many that keep our people soporific and unaware.
Kid looks like a total throw-back. That turn-around is money. The kind of player that makes those around him better players.
Quite so, Arthur. The NBA is truly unwatchable. I think your Alan Iverson marker is probably as good a point as any to mark the death knell of the league, but I would tender that Darnell Hillman (slam dunk champion but not much else) and Darryl Dawkins serve as harbingers of the NBA’s bleak future.
He reminds me of Payton Manning, a good-humored White guy who maintained class and dignity in the majority-black world of sportsball.
Stay White, Cooper. Don’t let the ferals drag you down to their level.

Flagg was amazing last evening! That kid will be rich. Was a great game, but still, Fuck Duke! AZ played well, ain’t gonna quibble over 7 points. Our best is a coon named Love, who can hardly speak. He will be rich also.

Actually there were back-to-back Whites drafted #1 overall in 2005 and 2006 (Andrew Bogut and Andrea Bargnani, respectively). Neither were American born, so you’re probably thinking last Am-born White which was from your neck of the woods: Kent Benson of Indiana. He was #1 NBA overall pick in 1976. So perhaps C Flagg could be first Am-born #1 pick in nearly a half century.
However, there has certainly been a renaissance of White players in the past few years (especially in 2023-24) topping their respective sports league in marquee stats and/or awards. For instance:
Last year we saw first White boxer to be undisputed heavyweight champion since 1960 (holding all three belts) – Oleksandr Usyk. (Ingemar Johansson
held it in 1959-60).
In 2023 NFL season Christian McCaffrey was first White RB to lead league in rushing since Jim Taylor of Green Bay did it
In 1964.
In 2023-24 NBA season Luka Doncic was first White player to lead the league in scoring since Pete Maravich did it
In 1976-77 season.
Same season Nicola Jokic became first White player to win his third NBA league MVP since Larry Bird did it in 1986.
My take is that the younger white guys who were brought up in the digital age are not as susceptible after all to all the woke BS that their daddies were/are. They are not intimidated by negroes, especially if they come from Eastern Europe like three of the four examples I list above.
The best thing about basketball season? Hockey.
All the increased attention to the WNBA because of Clark evaporated under the constant racism exhibited by the black players and sportsball media towards her.
