An Avoidable Death

Big Country mentioned in his recent post, I’m Alive, Just Tired Boss, Real Real Tired…, one Kentavious Gholston, a 26 year old Scholar-American who murdered a 61 year White guy for the crime of honking at him and this happened pretty close to BCE’s hacienda. My comment, naming a black boy Kentavious makes the likelihood he will end up involved in murdering someone close to a near certainty.

Me being me, I decided to read up on the story and it is a powerful lesson for all of us. First off, here is Kentavious Gholston….

According to this he is a 26 year old standing 6 foot tall and weighing around 200 pounds, a decent sized guy. Tracking him down a bit more, I found at least one additional felony for Kentavious for “Domestic Battery, Strangulation”. No shocker, Kentavious is a violent fellow.

Here is how the story breaks down according to the website Law & Crime

The victim, identified by local NBC affiliate WFLA as resident Steven Powers, was driving with his adult grandson on U.S. 301 at around 2:15 p.m. when Gholston allegedly cut them off in a black Mazda, according to police.

Investigators believe that Powers, who was driving his work van, honked at Gholston — prompting Gholston to allegedly “brake-check” him before suddenly coming to a halt in the middle of the road.

What happened next, according to Chronister, was out of a Quentin Tarantino movie.

“[Gholston] approaches the car,” the sheriff told WTVT, a Fox affiliate out of Tampa Bay, and other local media at an Oct. 28 presser. “As our homicide suspect gets out of the driver’s side of that car, our elderly gentleman throws a punch, misses. He redirects him and pushes him to the ground.”

With Powers now “defenseless,” investigators believe Gholston allegedly pulled out a handgun and opened fire on him, initially shooting him two times in his back before checking to see if he was alive, according to police.

“Our homicide suspect, seeing that he’s still alive, says, ‘I’ve got to finish the job,’” Chronister told reporters. “Goes and fires two more rounds.”

This sort of interaction on the roads is not uncommon, many of us get cut off or otherwise are the subject of rude driving behavior, and the response is typically to honk or give someone the finger or some other way to express your displeasure. Not being sociopaths lacking any impulse control that is where it usually ends when it happens for most of us.

Keep in mind the murder victim is 61 years old, and as I read that I noted that he was around a decade older than me. Being in your early 60s doesn’t make you “elderly” as described in the story but you certainly aren’t in the prime of life even though the picture I saw of Steven Powers looks like he was in pretty good shape. He was in a work van so presumably he does something in the skilled trades. Still, he is in his 60s and as anyone my age or older can attest, in general you aren’t as apt to be up for a bout of fisticuffs with a man less than half your age.

Powers threw a punch and Gholston manages to toss him to the ground. Now the 61 year old is on the ground, face down, and defenseless. A normal man would just let it go at this point, there isn’t much to be gained by a 26 year old beating up a 61 year old man even if he threw a punch at you, but we aren’t dealing with a normal man. Gholston pulls out a gun and shoots the defenseless man in the back twice and then seeing that the victim is still alive shoots him twice more.

Powers’ adult grandson was in the van and apparently only then got out of the van for whatever reason, Gholston pointed the gun at him and then took off after somehow dropping his debit card at the scene of the crime. No, I am serious, he probably had the debit card in the same pocket as his pistol or something.

A lot went wrong here. Obviously getting shot to death is the ultimate “went wrong” but what led up to it?

My intent is not to be critical of Steven Powers. He was murdered in cold blood by an animal while unarmed and defenseless. My goal is to get you thinking, and get myself thinking, about how to avoid being dead on a road somewhere with four bullet holes in your back.

Honking at someone is an impulse, but if you can avoid it you probably should. I don’t have the exact quote but I think it was Clint Smith of Thunder Ranch who talked about putting that middle finger away. Your first job is to get home alive. Laying on the horn or flipping someone the bird, even if it is justified, might set off some unstable person. 99.999% of the time it won’t but there are nut jobs of all races that will escalate things like that and some races obviously are more likely than others to do so.

Personal example. I was driving locally and coming up on a four way stop. I was in a minivan and of course buckled in. As I was approaching the car ahead of me was just sitting there, I could see his brake lights well before I got to the intersection. I stopped behind him and waited a few seconds, no one was coming from the other directions so I tooted the horn to wake them up. At that point a pretty big guy jumps out and comes at my vehicle yelling about me being impatient. Now I have a pistol within reach but I am buckled in into a car seat and that isn’t a great position. Instead of cocking off to him, I said “whatever” or something like that, and he stomped off and got in his car and left. He was clearly a little goofy and my first impulse would have been to say something shitty as he clearly was sitting there dicking around but then what happens? Maybe nothing, or maybe he attacks me (I had the window down already before pulling up as it was a nice day). If a guy starts punching you while you are in a car and buckled in, you are in trouble. Sure I could have pulled my pistol and if I had to I could have shot him but do I went to end up in court over something stupid like that? Do I want to maybe wound or kill someone because he was an asshole, even if I was “in the right”? The better course of action was to just let it go. It still aggravates me on one level but I also know it was the right thing to do.

What Powers did was precisely the wrong thing although again it was completely understandable. The guy cut him off, he honked at him, something that happens millions of times every week all across America, then Gholston hits his brakes and then stops his car. At this point Powers is probably pissed off and the adrenaline is flowing and then he sees a six foot tall black guy coming out of his car and in his understandable anger Powers gets out and throws a punch. Maybe 30 or even 20 years ago he would have connected with the punch and not ended up on his back but at 61 he probably was throwing a slower punch than he realized and it missed. Regardless he didn’t know that Gholston was armed but I always assume blacks are carrying and to paraphrase Clint Smith again: “An armed man will kill an unarmed man with monotonous regularity“.

In a way Powers made the cardinal error of relaxing around blacks because like many White guys he thinks you can still settle a squabble by throwing some punches and then going on your way but with blacks stuff escalates from Fine->angry->physical->shooting in the blink of an eye.

That begs the question, what should he have done? Probably the smart thing would have been to stay in his car, call 911 immediately and given them the plate number of Gholston’s car. The other critical piece would have been to be armed and prepared to use it because there is nothing that says that Kentavious wouldn’t have just shot him where he sat in the car but getting out of the car unarmed and then taking a swing at him? That set him into full chimp-out mode. I wouldn’t recommend jumping out of the car at all necessarily but definitely not if you are unarmed. What are your thoughts? I would think having 911 on the phone and your pistol at the ready would have been the best option.

Again, do you want to get into a gun battle in the middle of the road with some 26 year ape? Even if you are in the right and you kill him, do you want to then go into a courtroom in 2024, even in a state like Florida, and depend on a jury of your peers to acquit you? Hillsborough County, Florida is 45% White, 15% black and around 30% mestizo. I don’t like the odds of that jury. Then there is the possibility of getting charged for violating his “civil rights” and civil lawsuits for wrongful death, etc. I am not a lawyer so I don’t know if that would stick in court but I also wouldn’t want to be looking over my shoulder the rest of my life in case the ape troop decided to seek a little ghetto “justice”.

Is it right that we have to think this way? Of course not. In a sane country, this Kentavious shithead would already be swinging from a gallows as a warning to his fellow joggers. Hell in a sane country Kentavious would have seen enough of his cousins and buddies swinging from a rope around their neck to know better than to pull a stunt like this. When “extra-judicial executions” were more common, you will notice that blacks were better behaved and less likely to commit crimes not just against Whites but also against each other. This guy couldn’t be an easier conviction if he took a selfie next to the body holding a sign that says “I did it”. His punishment will be to spend years going through the trial process and then a likely life sentence meaning he will linger in prison for the next half century at enormous expense and might get back out some day.

What can we learn here? Being “right” is less important than being alive. We shouldn’t have to live this way but we do and as I continually harp, you aren’t doing your family and your people any good if you are locked up or dead.

    > years going through the trial process and then a likely life sentence

I dunno. Looks like Kentavious was the victim here. White Oppressor initiated the physical violence. Kentavious defended himself by shooting WO. In the back, sure, but remember he was also dealing with the threat of the adult grandson in the car. If poor Kentavious didn’t ensure that WO was no longer a threat then he’d have been sandwiched between two dangerous White Oppressors, and you know what that would lead to. Probably a lynching. Because that’s what happens to “uppity negroes” Every Single Day in AmeriKKKa.

This was probably sarcasm, but an outside chance of it being prophetic. The odds will vary depending on multiple factors.

Bear spray or a taser is always a good thing to carry in your car for situations like these and of course try not to live around niggers if you can help it…

Carry condition zero at all times.
If some commie RAT POS vermin starts steppin’ let them feel the wrath of the weapon.
A lead pipe up the sleeve is fun as well if ammo conversation is in order.
    No room for commie.

There is also the revenge served cold theory. Don’t engage there and then; take the license plate. It’s easy to find out a residence. Scope it out surreptitiously and wait a month. Go there one night on a bicycle, leaving your phone and any smart devices home. Depending on how Quentin Tarantino you want to get, there are 2 potential scenarios:
    1. Knock on the door and when the chimp answers, stick a long knife in his throat and leave without a word.
    2. Pour an accelerant on his car and walk away.
Either way you’ve made your point.
Of course, this is only an exercise in how Tarantino might script it out.

When I did pizza deliveries after graduating from my third bout of college, Dominos’ refused to allow us to keep Mace in our cars to deter the local dindus. I substituted hornet spray, and the manager objected, but my doctor wrote a note saying that I was allergic to bee stings, and the manager had to allow it. When I resumed my professional career two years later, I shredded the note and started carrying.

Probably be out on bond in a week…..At some point people are going to get tired of this shit.
Archer “Do you want ants? Cause that’s how you get ants…”
When we start imposing the death penalty for this sort of behavior AND executing promptly, we may start to see some changes…..

There needs to be a serious upswing in prosecution of this sort of thing.
He cannot legitimately claim self defense; per the narrative HE initiated the action and each escalation thereto.
1 cut off the old guy
2 brake checked the old guy
3 got out of his car and confronted the old guy
Does Florida have death penalty? Yes.

Prompt trial, one prompt appeal, prompt public hanging.

If I recall from a prior post, Florida has something approaching 200 people on death row so even if he gets sentenced to death it will be decades until he actually gets the needle. They should hang him next week and let him swing until the crows pick him clean.

Crows would never get to him, I was in Sanford,Fla a couple weeks, They’re infested with those fucking Mexican Black Buzzards down there !

I had a similar encounter – only it was a white dude instead of a nigger. Had his whole family in the truck too – wife and little kids – but he stopped in the middle of heavy traffic, hopped out and started running towards me. So I drove around him and kept going. He then got in his truck and tried to ram me several times. I’m weaving in and out of other cars hoping to keep at least one or two vehicles between us. I finally got lucky and made a quick u-turn in traffic that he couldn’t follow.

I still think about it sometimes. He was willing to put his little kids at risk just to ram his pickup into mine, driving at very high speeds, for no real reason other than he cut me off and got pissed about my finger. There’s no rationality to that kind of thinking.

Lessons? Never get out of the vehicle. Drive off if possible. Put the middle finger away. Stay strapped or get clapped – but I definitely wouldn’t want to explain that to a grand jury later. Lawyer fees would easily be 5 figures or more and still no guarantee that I wouldn’t go to jail.

That’s the thing now. The communist Left, unable to ‘get the guns’ will, instead, try to hamstring one’s legal use of a firearm for self-defense. You will be the prosecuted one and it is possible that you will spend more time in the slammer than the perp.

The photo, above, is another virtual proof that nogs are, principally, a divergent species; a deviant pathway so feral that it would be a stretch to call it ‘homo sapiens.’ More like ‘homo erectus’ or ‘homo Africanus.’

Clint Smith was right: put away the middle finger, keep your head on a swivel and, if a shoot becomes necessary, fire until your assailant stops moving.

Difficult enough to even hit an assailant during an altercation, you can now look forward to being asked by a 30-50 y/o White Leftard female dumbass, “Why couldn’t you have shot him in the leg?”

Having grown up in Norte de Denveridad where carloads of feral mexicans roaming the city’s streets were commonplace, it was a lesson well learned to honk to save your life or someone else’s if necessary, yes, but to honk merely to voice your irritation at someone’s poor traffic manners, no. Unless you wanted a tussle with a carload of bellicose wannabe-gangbangers. Discretion is indeed often the better part of valor.

What’s ironic (and sad) is that’s exactly what the horn is intended for – to warn someone their driving is endangering others. Obviously, avoid all nogs (and mestizos and han and pajeet) if at all possible. While they’re not all equally violent, they will lie and have their friends and family lie and insist you were at fault to begin with. They will keep track of your vehicle and key it or dent it in a parking lot. It’s just not worth dealing with these tribal ethnic cultures. So either one must constantly swallow one’s ire at brazen and crude behavior, or move as far away as possible.

    • Berglander

Exactly. Much like the internet, people think their car isolates them from repercussions.
Someone cuts me off? Cool, whatever. Chances are good that I’ll get ahead of them in the next mile or two anyway. Or not.
Either way, I don’t carry it with me. Life goes on.
