Criminal. Super. Genius.

If you are going to break the law, by all means take photos of yourself doing so and then post them publicly to social media.

Instagram post lands man 5-year prison stint

An Instagram post ended up landing a Kokomo man a 68-month stint in prison.

Bradley Morgan, 24, recently pleaded guilty in federal court to being a felon in possession of a firearm and was handed down a federal prison sentence of 68 months — which comes out to more than five years.

According to the United States Department of Justice, Morgan is prohibited from owning a firearm due to being a convicted felon. Yet, while Morgan was on probation and had an active warrant for his arrest, the Kokomo man decided to post photographs of himself posing with handguns on Instagram.

Police quickly became aware of these posts and ended up executing a search warrant on Morgan’s East Taylor Street residence in April 2021 where Morgan was found hiding in a bedroom closet.

Police also found drugs and several firearms including a Glock with a 23-round capacity extended magazine, court documents reveal.

Morgan pleaded guilty to criminal recklessness with a dangerous weapon in 2020 in Howard County after a 17-year-old girl was shot in Kokomo. He was given two years of probation which is what Morgan was still serving at the time he decided to pose on Instagram with a firearm.

JFC.

Hey Brad ol’ buddy, maybe use some of that cash you are holding to fix the holes in the walls? At least he has decent trigger discipline in this pic.

Five years means he will serve just a couple and at 24 he will be back on the streets at 26 or 27 at the latest and ready to resume a fulfilling career in drug dealing and shooting people. Best we can hope for is he gets shanked in the clink before he ends up shooting a mess of people, wounding them all and landing them in hospital with expensive bills me and my fellow Hoosiers get to pay for.
