As of Saturday afternoon of the three day shooting fest called Juneteenth weekend, the tally of mass shootings is sitting at 5! Congrats to Kansas City for hosting 2 of the 5! A total of 4 mass shootings on Juneteenth proper isn’t too shabby.

That’s a solid tally. 12 wounded, none fatally. One male was reportedly struck multiple times and is in bad shape but the docs in Chicago know how to deal with gunshot wounds.
But “heartbreaking”? What exactly is “heartbreaking” about something that happens with such regularity? It isn’t like shootings are rare in Chicongo, it has been a busy June already according to Hey Jackass!….
In short an average of more than 6 people have been shot every day so far in June and the numbers are just climbing, year to date the tally is already up significantly over last year and Chicongo has passed the 200 homicide mark…
Nothing like Father’s Day 2020 which saw 17 people killed and 96 wounded, 113 people shot in a single damn weekend, but still nothing to sneeze at. As is always the case, Chicago isn’t nearly as lethal if you aren’t black….
Anyhoo, we still have Saturday night and Sunday to go. The weather looks favorable for mass shootings so you know the drill. BTW this meme got my hand slapped on Twitter….
