Well There It Is

The dumbest thing I will read today even if I spent the whole day doomscrolling bluesky.

The shots sounded defensive in nature.

J.F.C.

I saw some guy trying to white knight for her by posting a video from the cringe “Warrior Poet Society” on “cadence” shooting, which is great when you are on a range but this wasn’t a range shooting.

This Katie Pavlich chick somehow has 1.2 million, absolutely real, “followers” on twitter and has kind of a mannish look about her….

She has her one ear uncovered so she can hear the subtle nuance of gunfire, able to distinguish between “offensive” and “defensive” and “lol just kidding” and “negligent discharge” shooting.

Full disclosure: I have never been shot at nor have I shot at someone else.

However I have shot a lot and a 9mm going off sounds pretty much the same regardless of my general mood that day.

I might go stick a fork in an electrical outlet in the hopes it wipes the memory of reading that tweet from my mind.

I have heard Katie P. on FoxNews for years; she’s actually quite nice-looking & feminine (the above is not her best photo), and her commentary is fairly solidly conservative in nature.

Sadly, Katie needs to avoid any commentary on firearms, ballistics, acoustics and the like.

I shoot about 1K of various calibers per month and I have yet to hear any “offensive” rounds coming my way–which is why I avoid “two-way shooting ranges” at all times. And, for the record, NONE of MY rounds are “offensive” in nature (or intent); they are all “defensive.” Heck, ever been hit by a paper target as it comes back to you at the range? Those babies HURT!

Anyway, reading her tweet produced an instantaneous ‘WTF?’

When I read things like this I know that the author is seriously overreaching and has “outkicked her coverage,” so to speak. But, it’s good fo a laugh, regardless.

I’m always willing to learn new things though, and today, at the range, I will be studiously and attentively listening for the sounds of offensive and defensive rounds, shot cadence and the like.

And, if I run a “double-tap…pause…double tap” drill does that make me a G-Man? [Getting ready to puff out my chest in a manly fashion].

Katie needs to, in the future, cover events more in keeping with her femininity. The Westminster Dog Show, Emeril Lagasse Cooking Classes, maybe a review of tampon options and absorbency in Minnesota mens rooms?

Wasn’t it Hag Pelosi who once blathered on about “thousand round per minute AR-15s?”
