Right on cue Trump ordered strikes on Iran. The fog of war is thick so what we are seeing are just fragments of videos. I don’t know how effective the U.S. strike was nor how effective the Iranian counter-attack. Early reports indicate that a school full of kids was hit in Iran but as always you have to take that with a grain of salt.
I am not even seeing much about the “nuclear weapons program”, maybe they realized that people weren’t buying that shtick since we have been told Iran is 30 seconds away from nukes for the last three decades.
We have been hearing the “weeks/days/seconds away from obtaining nukes” for weeks but that went away. In his remarks, Trump switched completely away from talk about nukes and has gone all in on regime change, something we were told he did not support. Notice he spoke directly with the official party organ of the Deep State, the Washington Post. I guess the fake news lying media is OK when he is explaining why he is doing Israel’s bidding.
Social media is full of Zionist cheerleading. A new shtick is making the rounds, something like “Well I don’t support the war but once it starts we are obligated to ‘support the troops’ until it ends” which is a weasel way of banging the war drums while trying to keep your hands clean. No one is obliged to “support the troops” which means “not criticizing the decision to go to war”, just as I am not obligated to “back the blue” when a cop does something awful. I don’t want to see Americans dying over there, maybe trannies or 2Gs but they aren’t the ones fighting, but I also won’t be silenced.
Dissenting when your country is doing the wrong thing is the epitome of real patriotism.

Far too many people think “Not supporting unprovoked military strikes on Iran” must mean you are “Pro-Iranian” in the same way they think “I don’t think we should get involved in Ukraine” makes you “Pro-Putin”.
Adults can hold two thoughts in tension simultaneously like:
- The Iranian regime is awful and no friend of America, and has sponsored terror attacks in the Middle East and likely around the world. Many Iranian leaders would love to see American cities reduced to rubble and the American people enslaved under Islamic rule. Islam is incompatible with Western civilization.
- Israel is also no friend of America and is run by a war criminal. We are manipulated into fighting endless wars on behalf of Israel that are not our business and are not in our interest. Talmudic Judaism and Zionism are incompatible with Western civilization.
Good luck finding many people on social media today that can figure that out. There are a lot more people opposed to these strikes than in favor but the Zionist mouthpieces have enormous audiences.
The thing is, I don’t think Trump is doing this for Miriam Adelson’s money or because he is compromised by the Epstein files. Those I could at least understand. What I think is really going on is that Trump is listening to flattering whispers from Zionist shills and they have stroked his ego by appealing to his “legacy” that apparently includes multiple attacks on Iran. I made the mistake of thinking that because we weren’t seeing much of Jared “Wormtongue” Kushner that his influence had waned but instead it just is hidden behind closed doors.
The other side of the equation is that I think Trump is frustrated by being thwarted at every turn domestically and being frustrated and bored, and with the attention span of a toddler hopped up on Mountain Dew, he is pivoting to “foreign policy” because that is something he can do and get away with. There are only a handful of voices in Congress speaking against the attacks and most of them, like my Congressman Marlin Stutzman, are busy shilling for the attacks. Trump gets to play the warlord and no one interferes, and I think he likes that, and he is being told behind closed doors that this will cement his legacy.
While some people are saying that this will cost the GOP the midterms*, I think they were going to lose them anyway and more critically they don’t care because most Republicans prefer to be out of power. That way they can rail against them dadgum lib’rals ruinin’ our country without having to make excuses for why they aren’t doing anything. Mike Johnson would love to be the Minority Leader because then he wouldn’t be held responsible for doing anything.
To be honest, I can’t even get really mad at this point. It was so predictable that the only surprise would be Trump not doing this. I had thought maybe being a lame duck would make Trump more prone to do what needed to be done domestically but instead it just seems to have encouraged him to play soldier boy. I would be deeply disappointed in Trump but I never expected much from him in the first place.
We are unrepresented in any sense by the political “leadership” in America. Focus locally and wait for the whole thing to collapse. The sooner, the better.

I voted for no one in 2024. It was the only way I could go forward with a clear conscience. Having seen how Trump largely bungled his first term (capped off with his spectacular failure of handing petty tyrants the fulfillment of their life’s biggest wet dream in how he handled the response to COVID), I couldn’t check that box a second time. Looking back from today’s POV, I’ve no regrets on my decision to abstain.
