The Constitution is not about rights.
Why?
Because your rights are INHERENT, you were born with them, and it has nothing to do with any gov’t.
The Constitution simply recognizes those inherent rights and places LIMITS on the gov’t by drawing a line in the sand that it cannot cross regarding your INHERENT rights.

Where the Constitution fails is that it does not provide punishment to the gov’t when it chooses to ignore the limits clearly spelled out in it.
If a gov’t employ does in fact violate your natural rights there is no automatic penalty for doing so and usually the violator is left to go on and violate again, and again.
This is why the Constitution can in no way be considered a social contract for even the most common business contract spells out clearly penalty for “failure to perform”.
So, the next time you hear a nitwit sputtering about “constitutional rights” you should crack them right across the yap and point out that there is no such thing.
Lastly, in the absence of any gov’t you still have your natural rights and they are inviolate.
