A Georgia woman’s hair was burned off in a devastating attack after a stranger sneaked up behind her at a park and doused her with acid.
Ashley Wasielewski, 46, was walking outside of Forsyth Park in Savannah around 8.16pm on Wednesday when an unknown man ran up and poured the corrosive liquid on her.
She immediately ran across the street, screaming in agony, until help was called.
Wasielewski was treated on the scene and rushed to Memorial Hospital before being moved to a burn center in Augusta, according to the Savannah Police Department.
Photos of Wasielewski in the aftermath of the horrific incident showed her hair burned off, her face severely burned and her arm bandaged….
….Wasielewski’s close friend Connor Milam recalled what she had told him from the burn center.
‘She was instantly like, ‘Why are you pouring water on me?’ And then her skin started to burn,’ Milam told the AP.
He added: ‘She looked down and her pants were starting to burn off her body. She started screaming.’
Milam pointed out that Wasielewski’s attacker had not stolen any of her possessions.
‘This was a random person in the park who went out of their way to disfigure another human being,’ he said.
Assuming that the hooded 2G is in fact the suspect, something the police are trying hard to avoid saying, what would you say the odds are that he was waiting for an attractive White woman specifically to target in this attack? I wouldn’t even know off the top of my head where to get acid to do something like this.

The police chief also pushed back on unfounded rumors concerning the attack.
‘We understand how quickly information, speculation and worry we can spread,’ he said. ‘That’s why we’re 100 percent committed to sharing verified updates as soon as we have them and not before. Accuracy matters.’
Oh dear, wouldn’t want to have any of those nasty unfounded rumors running around hurting people! Chief Priorities isn’t having any of that!
It is trite and boring to say this but it needs to be said. If in some bizarre twist a White man was wanted for “questioning” in a random acid attack on a black woman. it would be Priority Number One not just in Savannah but across America. Everyone from Trump to Cumala would be pearl clutching and vowing swift justice.

When the AFG came out it was kinda the thing and I had one, and it IS orders of magnitude less gay than some of the vert grips out there. Nevertheless, I ditched mine at least ten years ago and I kinda forgot they existed because they are kinda clunky and not as ergonomic as some of the “grip stops” out there nowadays.
Using a stop on a fore end for indexing grip makes a lot of sense for a lot of reasons, and I would say the technology has surpassed the humble AFG.

I started then deleted my original comment. Let’s just say that it’s not too hard to get a small amount of acid, say about a quart or so. There are multiple avenues to obtaining it. I’ve gotten acid in the past for legitimate uses and always kind of wondered at how easy it was.
So, just like guns, tools of terrorism are everywhere and there’s no effective way to introduce “acid control” to reduce random acts of “acid violence”. And let’s not forget that if we ban acid, there’s still lighter fluid and matches out there. So, one more time, around blacks, never relax. I’d add muslims to the mix, regardless of color.

Hell, as a plumber, I can easily purchase hydrochloric acid under the trade name Calci-solv, which is much more aggressive than muriatic acid. We use it to descale toilets and urinals, the HVAC industry also uses it for descaling. Real nasty shit, and I hate working with it.
My dad was a brick and stone mason. He used muriatic acid all the time to clean stray bits of mortar off new walls and make them look nice. He carried jugs of the stuff in the back of his pickup.
