Just got home from a quick overnight trip, stayed within the Hoosier state this time with some friends. We went to Indiana Dunes, on the coast of Lake Michigan fairly close to Chicago. How close? You could see the Chicongo skyline from the beach.

If you listened closely you could also hear the gunfire.
It was pretty windy and a little chilly as you would expect in October but as you can see it was still a beautiful day.
Back to blogging tomorrow, too tired tonight to put anything together.
Happy travels Art. I love and miss the North Coast.
Michigan Dunes not far from there. I jogged along the beach there and for a decent cardio workout, attempted to run up the dunes
We had talked about going all the way to sleeping bear but that was too much for an overnight trip
The view would be enhanced by smoke rising above the ruins and rubble of Chicongo.
Perhaps even a mushroom cloud

That picture is a very melancholy reminder of everything we’ve lost in the last century.
Welcome to zionism’s golden age.
The wild places are disappearing and what we have left is full of foreigners and animals
That’s closer than I ever want to get to Chicago again. Spent the longest nine months of my life there.
