A Thought Or Two About Our National Parks

It felt like half of Japan was at the Grand Canyon, they were having a ton of fun, jabbering and throwing their hands in the air and taking a million selfies. It is still hard to believe that these are the same vicious, cruel and malevolent people that fought for every inch of Guadalcanal and Okinawa and Peleliu, who flew planes laden with gasoline in kamikaze missions just to slow down the U.S. advance. Even the civilians on Okinawa threw themselves and their children from cliffs out of fear of the Americans.

**************

I had a lot to ponder during and after my recent visit to a number of our most famous National Parks (see: There And Back Again). This is going to be a pretty random, “stream of consciousness” post so apologies ahead of time.

Our parks are like a microcosm of our country: a bunch of rapidly aging White people with money, a much smaller number of young and struggling Whites and hordes of foreign trash stumbling around the parks White people created and maintained, jabbering in their monkey languages and acting like they had something to do with creating it. It is well known that other people mock and deride White American tourists but we are supposed to be grateful that people from other nations come here and gawk at what the forefathers of those White Americans had the foresight to set aside? Screw that. The parks are too crowded as it is, I would be happy to make them American-only.

The National Park Service has some 20,000 employees and a budget of over $3 billion annually. That isn’t big in the grand scheme of things but it ain’t chicken feed either. It might hurt libertarian feelings for me to say so but I have no problem with spending money on the parks. Now how they spend the money is a different issue and I have my complaints but overall they are a worthwhile expenditure.

Parks are a mostly White people thing. For example, the largest park in Africa is the Nyerere National Park, part of the larger Selous Game reserve. It covers nearly 12,000 square miles. At 640 acres to the square mile that works out to around 7,680,000 acres. By contrast Yellowstone is only around 2.2 million acres. According to Wikipedia….

The original Selous Game Reserve traces its roots to 1896 when the then German Governor of Tanganyika proclaimed this vast area as a protected wildlife hunting reserve. Sometime in 1922 the reserve was named after Frederick Selous, a big game hunter turned wildlife conservationist.

Other large parks and reserves in Africa were also created by Whites, those evil colonial types, like Frederick Selous who the 19,000 square mile Selous Game Reserve was named after. Selous was a hunter of beasts and a killer of men, having fought in Africa and then enlisting to fight at the age of….64!…in World War I.

undefined

He is described thusly…

He excelled in cricket, rugby, cycling, swimming, and tennis. He loved the outdoors, developing a rugged and robust physique by trekking, packing, marching, and hunting. He was also an accomplished rider, and he waged war and hunted much on horses. To the African locals, he was the “best white runner” (in the endurance aspect, similar as to native bushmen’s concept). While in England, all his life he played sports, he still did half-day 100-mile bicycle races when almost sixty years old.

Cripes the guy had to wheel his testicles around in a wheelbarrow.

Also like many White hunters he was also a conservationist and recognized that overhunting would wipe out the game populations so he advocated for rules to preserve wildlife while still permitting hunting. It is same sort of conservationist mindset that drives groups like Ducks Unlimited, the Ruffed Grouse Society, the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and Pheasants Forever. It is also the difference between conservationists and “environmentalists”. The former understand the wilderness and proper management that includes responsibly using resources (logging, hunting, fishing) because they actually go outside. The latter buy overpriced Patagonia and North Face jackets, talk about “climate change” and saving the earth but don’t understand anything at all about the ecosystem because they never go outdoors. I did a post about this in 2021: Conservation > Environmentalism.

This is one of those White people intramural conversations because my contention is:

Only Whites have the foresight to see so many amazing natural treasures and say “We are going to save these for future generations”

This is another consequence of other races, specifically blacks, subcontinentals and mestizos, lacking any impulse control or understanding of time preferences. To other races, why would I set something aside for the future when I can use it now? Haiti is a prime example of this, run by blacks for hundreds of years, is mostly denuded and devoid of trees as Haitians have cut down all of the trees to use for charcoal. You can see the difference on Hispaniola between Haiti and the Dominican Republic….

Haitians, and their African ancestry kin both in the U.S. and on the mother continent, have never learned to save today for the future. Everything with them is about instant gratification with no eye for the future. Haiti is clogged with garbage because they just don’t care, you see the same thing in ghettos around the U.S.

These are not the kind of people that set aside millions of acres for a park that people 100 years from now could visit. There is a reason this is a Greek proverb, not an African proverb.

We should collectively preserve places of natural beauty for our pleasure as well as for the future pleasure of Americans as yet unborn. Being stewards of the land is as based and right wing as you can get.

If you think that is “liberalism” or “hippie stuff” you aren’t really right wing, or conservative, but you are a fool. Being right wing means a certain aesthetic that isn’t found in endless consumer hellholes but includes an appreciation for nature. Not worshipping it but revering it, two very different things.

When I again saw the vast wide open spaces in America, I didn’t think “You know what would improve this? A few hundred thousand apartments and some strip malls”. It is OK to have vast, undeveloped wilderness. In fact I would say that much of the rot that infects the soul of Americans is because we have lost touch with the less developed places, the forests and prairies as well as the vast fields of grain.

Anyway, that’s about all I have to say about that.

For now.

We do a lot of camping in state parks here in Texas. They don’t draw as much attention as national parks, so the foreigner content is much lower. Not zero, but much lower. And yes, camping appears to be mostly a White activity. Out of the past 40 or 50 camping trips, I can count on one hand the number of times I saw a black family camping.

That said, the mexicano influence is very heavy in the “day use” areas. Each of the state parks has a camping section for overnight campers and a day use only section, with some attempt to keep the two separated. Mainly cause you have to pay extra to camp overnight, I’m guessing. And yes, the day use areas are overrun by the hispanics during the weekends. Which is why my vacations are generally Monday thru Thursday only, to avoid those crowds.

Conservation and conservatives go hand in hand, and yes hunters and fishermen are the most dedicated enthusiasts of preserving our wilderness heritage for future generations. And yes, still mainly a white thing.

There are lots of less visited parks in the country that are not as crowded, if my wife and I were going out west we would focus on the smaller, less known parks

Society Fails when Old Men don’t give a flying fuck about anyone but themselves as we are seeing in real time all around us…The kike has done a great job of brainwashing everyone into being atomized and isolated individuals all thinking they are Rambo or John Wick so they remain weak and powerless…I guess no one reads or understands history anymore or they do and they are just to cowardly or apathetic to do what is necessary to stop our destruction…Might hurt some feelers with that statement but look in the fucking mirror and be honest with yourself and ask the question are you doing what you need to for the survival of your race or are you just trying to save yourself so your are eaten last…If you are clueless then start reading some Solzhenitsyn and figure out we are the Kulaks and then figure out how to avoid that fate and it’s not buying more food or guns or any of that…

    Excellent post, OP!

It resonates well with me; I’m sure that I bore my grandchildren to somnolence when I query–constantly:

Q: “When is the best time to plant an oak tree?”
    A: “Twenty years ago.”
    [And today].

Also of note–and hysterically funny but for the overt gaslighting–are the endless TV commercials depicting clean, well-behaved high-end blacks driving their Tahoes, Pathfinders & Escalades into the pristine climes of Yellowstone,
McKinley, the Grand Tetons and the like. Due to blacks’ awesome love of Nature!

I’ve been there. A lot. Yet I cannot recall seeing a black fambly in my travels.

    Not a one!

You want crowded? Great Smoky Mountain National Park in October. Most visited National Park.

Selous Scouts were named after him.

Makes me appreciate all the more living next door to the country’s LEAST visited wilderness, the Gearhart here in the Oregon Outback.

      • Big Ruckus D

Yeah, my brother, SIL and their kids went to Dollywood/Pigeon Forge right before the school year started, and while then crowds were off from peak, it was still crazy, based on what they related to me. I’ll take a hard pass on that.

The whole area is a jewish bazaar of invaders and waddling landwhales.

Those tourist areas in the hills are spilling over with the worst of everything. Moneyed urban bugpeople with their gadgets and selfies and disinterested screenface kids, dark hordes of mexicans, indians, chinks, moslems, and nogs – and some of the fattest, most wrecked whiskey tango you will ever see. Which would be a sort of post-Rockwell portrait of the Griswold family vacation if not for the fact they are no longer shaped like proper humans.

Whatever charm was in those parts, like amerika at large, was replaced by chains of garbage shops and high-fructose fat factories. Candy-moonshine-obscene t-shirts-repeat. Disgusting.

In my recent travels it is clear that the recreation of our great lands consists of olds living their best life while it all burns, pretending that the rounds of golf and shrimp cocktail they are entitled to is still the best even though the only way their kids or grandkids could experience any of it is if they paid for them to join from their bootstraps accounts.

Which never seems to pique their dwindling curiosity of how we got here and why their grandkids don’t seem to have bootstraps even as they say “gracias” to the help dropping off those delicious tacos.

My cohort is no better. They sweep through in the $120K sprinter van with their designer kid while laptopping and poasting and fretting over where to buy organic marshmallows for the fair-trade smores they will make later on in their $125/night “camping” spot they read about in their feed.

Their mobile bubbles just extensions of their curated good schools bubbles back in the double-income megolopolis. Just gobbling up the next hashtag to drive their status-seeking friends anxious with envy.

Covid set loose a lot of this. On a lot of levels. It is still spreading.

You can avoid a lot of this by going off the beatn path. As long as you carry. A pistol and extra garbage bags. The white niggers love their pitbulls more than their kids, litter like mexicans, and drive like Somalis.

I’ve come to appreciate why most folks just spend their spare time hanging out on their screened-in porch waiting for the rapture.

Reading your post reminds me that, at base, the America you describe is devoid of CULTURE.

I have long observed America in an attempt to determine just what our “culture” actually represents.

America has a lot of material things: discretionary income, two cars/family, automatic dishwashers, Sony PS10s (or current iteration).

Add season tickets to the NFL (Nog Felons League), commercial-free Netflix and overpriced goods at Whole Foods and one can see that Americans have a LOT of STUFF.

But culture? A rich and varied HISTORY? Love of God, Home, Community, Country?

We are soon to celebrate 250 years of our “culture.” Why, exactly? There is not one major city in the U.S. in which I can freely walk about at any hour of the day without concern for personal safety. If demo communist cities and locales are exxed-out, there remains a much smaller country within which one can travel unmolested.

And CCW plus a constant “Jeff Cooper” situational awareness of goblins is a full-time prerequisite.

Even our (arguably) prettiest city, San Francisco, has been turned into a drug-infested shithole wherein one must navigate piles of human feces and used needles even in the most “posh” of downtown areas.

The Homeless, tattooed gangs, belligerent niggers looking for an opportunity to play the Knockout Game on yo’ White azz because he “felt disspekted” when you casually looked his way.

Think America is still a White-majority nation? Think again.

The Unhinged Left (all commies) are destroying the remnants of our “Culture” from Portland, OR to Baltimore, Kenya (not a typo).

Enter any airport, bus terminal or train station. They look like Nairobi, Beirut or Mexico City at rush hour. Rude, crowded and smelly–a bad combo!

I am “A Stranger in a Strange Land.”

To reiterate, I do not believe that we have a quality culture (when material goods are subtracted from the equation); we have a place to live, yes, but we are only nominally secure within our homes and our immediate AOs (if we are lucky).

America is Toast and we are the crumbs at the bottom.

And do not brag about our “Vaunted Military!” We have not won a war since WWII; Vietnam, the ‘Stan, “Operation Iraqi Freedom” and UKR have sacrificed our blood and treasure for the benefit of the MIC, the CIA and our corrupt & despicable Congressional “leadership.”

And, to end this rant, ask, “Qui bono?”

A: International (zionist-controlled) Banking, Greater Israel, The Bilderberg Group and a smattering of communist billionaire oligarchs.

            FTA Good & Hard!

            rant/off.

            • Leo

Add that we didn’t win WWII. The USSR won it.

We helped them. Those behind it should be crackling and popping in hell right now, but it doesn’t help us in the here and now.

            • Flyin Bryan

Funny you should mention smelly travelers in our airports. My wife and niece were flying back from South Carolina and someone (or thing) stunk to high heavens on the airplane. I asked my wife if was a pajeet or some other of our protected classes. She said she did not turn around to get a look at the olfactory offending traveler. Perhaps just as well.

          • Big Ruckus D

Well hell, that’s certainly a stinging indictment of where we’re at. And it’s 100% true. There’s a reason (many reasons, in fact) that I just want it to crash and burn. We really do need a massive malthusian die off to cleanse both the planet and the gene pool. It’s too far gone to save in it’s present thoroughly bastardized condition.

          • Walter Zoomie

“The white niggers love their pitbulls more than their kids, litter like mexicans, and drive like Somalis.”

Pure poetry. Thank you for this, sir!

      • Joe Blow

I live on the West side of Knox vegas. We don’t go anywhere near that side of town from…. Valentines day to the first day of Spring. The restaurants do love your tourist dollars, however.

        • SirLawrence

I think tourists – which includes a stinking swarma-ton of foreigners, and business credit card travelers are the only economy keeping most formerly hip urban areas in business.

That said, here in flyover, all the mom-and-pops plowed under from the great reset 1.0 from ’08 to “Covid” are now being replaced with haste by the globo chain quick serves.

From starbucks to mega gas station feedlots. What used to be considered post-modern blight, is now welcomed into our little county with open gullets. It pains me to have to watch it happen here after seeing the locusts devour my hometown in the same way.

The welcoming of economic globohomo is coincidentally a lot like the evolution of the “government”. Yeah yeah we don’t want to be told how to live. Unless it comes with some gibs. The whole of usa is niggerized ghetto with a jewy caveat-emptor morality animating our tenuous transactional culture.

Commerce is who we are, unfortunately. Which is why all those who desire to cast of the occupiers and restore any sense of culture and White identity are dreaming if they think they can do this and keep their portfolios and air bnb empires humming.

MAGA 2.0 is largely an appeal to this delusion. Taken to its logical conclusion we are being set up for the same sort of scenario they ran in covid. If you want whats left of normal, you will comply.

Whatever civil conflict is coming, a lot of the squishy grey areas will burn off right quick and people will be sorted out. I prefer clear lines. When “principles” give way to revealed preference and such. I do not like how the covidian commies just dropped their rifles and blended back into society. My personal economics were destroyed by these people and so even on a mere economic level – which they love so dearly, I am still at war.

This needs to get sorted out.

  5. Filthie

The Japs too are a parks people. Maybe some of the other Pacific Rim countries like Korea – to a lesser extent. The chinks are filthy people and are as fond of squalor as the pajeets and niggers.

It’s just like that rude meme about the jews: “You can believe what they say about your ancestors, or you can believe what your ancestors said about them…”

    • TakeAHardLook

I was at Sea World, San Diego, many years ago with my wife & 7 year-old daughter in tow. We were in a small crowd of Japanese–all with cameras going “crick, crick”–beside one of those tidal pools where you can lean over to touch a sea urchin or a starfish, etc., the edge about waist high.

I turned back and saw a 30ish Japanese guy with his hand fondling my daughter’s butt–two feet from me!

On pure reflex I side-butted the guy, “accidentally” stumbling into him and he tipped into the tidal pool, lock, stock and Sushi. Fucker was with his wife (I assume) and she cast me an outraged expression and I waved my hand in the air between us and (in what I now realize was me channelling Biden) said, “DON’T.”

The rest of the day was grand.

      Fkn pervs!

      So sorry!

      • Big Ruckus D

There is something about (current day) Japanese culture that it focuses heavily on an unhealthy obsession with young girls of a certain idealized appearance; this really is almost the entire basis for so much of anime. If you stop to seriously consider it, it brings one to some rather uncomfortable conclusions. It’s also informative to see how many Japanese women are heavily into “cosplaying”, despite being adults they embrace the juvenile characteristics of these animated characters.

I have a certain respect for the Japanese work ethic, but it truly is very strange culture with some weird hangups.

My family and I went to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon in late June. This was just before the big wildfire that destroyed everything there. It was allowed to happen by some government dumbass that thought it was ok to let a fire burn during the dry season. The North Rim only gets 10% of visitors compared to the South Rim. The crowds there were very minimal. It is harder to get to, but well worth it. Well, it was until it was destroyed. Hopefully it gets rebuilt so more people can enjoy the canyon without all the crowds.

      • TakeAHardLook

Yes. In fact, the Mississippi River would make a great actual and philosophical dividing line.

Breadbasket to the left, despotic consumers to the right.

[Of course, we’ll have to lop off The Demokratyk People’s Republik of Kollyfornya]!

And pinch off Oregon like you’d drop a deuce into the Pool of the Porcelain God.

That quote comes to mind when I read stuff like this and wonder what is in people that always makes them wait to fight back and gets them killed most times throughout history..
    If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed;
if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may
come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.

Brother it’s part and parcel of the same mentality that keeps people isolated and alone…It’s the nothing bad will ever happen to me or if it does I will be able to handle anything that comes my way…

There’s a group around here who have been doing road and area clean ups for the past few years. It’s generally a good time and feels great to look at a former bum camp or littered road and see the night and day difference.

However it’s made up of a buncha blue city hippy dippy types who are hugely uncomfortable when they see that week after week it’s pretty much just white folks and my old grumpy self there. Occasionally some minority type will show up and disappear when they figure out it’s hard work and you’re not being paid but the organizers will try and get them included in pictures to make it seem like a unicef commercial.

Absolutely no indians (dot) zero asians unless its the spouse of a white dude, once in a blue moon blacks who leave and usually take gloves or tools with them, and beyond that a pretty even mix of guys and gals.

Some of them are slowly, with my not so gentle comments, becoming realists to how things are. Like when we were carrying bagged trash out of the woods to the collection point and a car drove up and started tossing fast food bags and nasty cans and cups from her car at the pile. Or another time when a group of yoots spent several minutes making fun of us and trying to toss and kick bags when no one was looking. Another time an indian (dot) rolled up with a trailer and tried off loading bulk trash items that looked like he was emptying out an apartment at one of our collection points arguing he could just throw it in the dumpster since one was there and why could we use it but not him.

Others get scared when we’re cleaning out bum camps at the sheer amount of damage they do, needles we find, and stolen items. They realize there is this whole world often a short walk away from their “good” neighborhoods.

  9. mr mowm

Visited a well know state park here recently and it was as you describe, except pajeets and hajibs. What country is this? On the w/e BTW. So thn I went to a lesser used place on a week day and it was just old white people. What was really odd though was the number of people just sitting in their vehicles in the parking lot.
