Work has been kicking my butt all week and I have barely had time to check the news but the assassination of Charlie Kirk today is a different level. I didn’t really care much for him, but he did a lot of work for what he thought was the right reasons.
If people on the real Right were as bloodthirsty and dangerous as They portray us to be, there would be blood running in the streets but as usual not much will happen. Trump better come down like the wrath of God on those people, but I won’t hold my breath. The left clearly knows we won’t do anything as evidenced by Matthew Dowd: MSNBC Fires Matthew Dowd For Suggesting Charlie Kirk Had It Coming.
I don’t what else to say at this point. Empty internet tough guy rhetoric is useless. Maybe a beloved normiecon figure being gunned down will break through to more people. We will see. I do know this, anyone with a public platform of any size who says naughty stuff, even tepid pablum like Charlie Kirk, is considered to be a legitimate target for violence by the Left. They are way past the point of just doxing people and now are openly murdering political opponents.

I’m sad and angry. I didn’t follow Kirk closely but I knew he supported Orange Man and he was a practicing Christian. I don’t have an issue with either of that.
On a deeply personal note, we lost our brother Pig Walrus a while back. He is the one that turned me onto terms like “normie” and “dissident” and sent me a link to this. I’m forever grateful.
He was my closest friend and a true brother. He was a like-minded prepper and hated the tyranny of the gubbment.
Despite him living in Ohio and me in Texas, we texted frequently. Every day. About prepping, the great dialogue on this blog, and every other important thing in life.
He was a Believer in Christ. And that is the best form of prepping and I’m glad that he’s home with his Tribe. RIP Charlie Kirk and my bud Pig.

He was doing what he loved to do and did for a living, farming. It was very sudden, a heart attack, and in an instant he was dead.

Charlie wasn’t quite *there* yet, but appears he had recently made some noises about losing his taste for zionism. Maybe that’s legit, maybe not, just going by what a number generally no-bullshit people have said online that I happened to catch. Hell, if that is true, it may be why they had him whacked; wouldn’t want a guy with mainstream appeal (and like him or not, he had that in spades) to go off the rez, especially since he was probably capable of bringing some of his followers along, should he defect from the narrative.
Whatever the case, he was likely closer to a potential future ally than so many useless assholes I can think of, and so maybe he had potential. The guy was 31, and my core political ideals – while always definitely hard right – become still more decidedly so once I passed 35, and turned even more “extreme” (compared to the mainstream as a baseline) once I got past 45. So he was likely a work in progress, and in time might have been a true hard right guy in good stead. Now we’ll never know.
For me, this is just another signpost on the route to collapse and war. For normiecons, his appeal was such that it may actually stir a legit reaction of some sort in that crowd. I’m not banking on it, but stranger things have happened. Really though, I’d expect that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce being gunned down would probably elicit more of an outcry than this will amount to. And that’s a stinging indictment of American culture, no doubt.
In the end, a White man who was married and had two young kids was martyred, because someone perceived him as a threat. We can gather that was either someone (or some organization) that was well connected and organized on the left, or it was a deep state op through and through. I’m not quite so quick to write the guy off just because he had a couple of points in his platform that still needed refinement. Generally, he was on the right track with a couple of notable exceptions. Some will obviously not give him any slack at all because of his support for Israel (and I understand that) but on balance, he struck me as an ok guy who needed some time to learn yet.
Irrespective of all I’ve said above, this does feel like a watershed moment, and there are likely to be repercussions yet unknown and unanticipated. Some of which may well be to our detriment (like further efforts at watering down the 2A, and an even more restrictive surveillance state, as typical knee jerk reactions). Nothing good comes from this, at least in the short term.

It is 8:15 here in the Rocky Mountains. It looks like they have a suspect. A 22 year old nerd who attends Utah Valley University.* My first thought was that he looked like the kind of person that could pull off shooting someone at 200 yards: competent. Apparently he confessed to his father that he was the shooter. But there is still no obvious motive. Why would a competent looking white guy in Utah try to silence Kirk?
As for Kirk, it doesn’t take a genius to see that Charlie needed to be silenced. Saoirse is right about that CK, at one time, firmly had AIPAC’s cock deep in his mouth. All those young White men watched a man they admire bleed out a good chunk of his blood volume before Charlie hit the ground from many different angles. Third, Kirk was an organizer. A right wing organizer. [clears throat for maximum effect] Let me say that again, Charley was a right wingish organizer. Organizing is, one of many, Achilles heal for dissidents. Organizing individualist is like herding cats. Leftist, on the other hand, are herd creatures. Leftist have the upperhand in knowing how to organize and the have the good luck in that the people they have to organize can be herded easy.
Fourth) Charlie was effective at these college events. How effective? I don’t know. But effective enough that someone killed him for it.
5th) Charlie was young. So all this debating and organising was giving him experience. Who know how effective 50 year old Charlie Kirk could be.
