Four men and women who live at a Detroit senior citizen apartment complex are all recovering in the hospital after a love triangle that turned into a violent shootout at the apartment building.
Detroit Police were called to the shooting at Sheridan Place Apartments in the 7500 block of East Jefferson Street, where officials said a loud party led to a shooting outside the complex.
However, with the light of a new day on Tuesday comes new details that the shooting had nothing to do with loud music next door – but was actually a love triangle. The shooting at a barbecue outside the complex when one man confronted another man in a wheelchair.

According to Ervin and many other residents, one man was upset that his love interest, a 65-year-old woman – who they identify as ‘Johnnie’ – was dating a new man, a man in his 70s and in a wheelchair.
Neighbors said the suspected shooter, a man in his early 70s, took his gun and shot Johnnie’s new boyfriend and two others
After the shooting, the suspect was tackled and dropped the gun. Johnnie then picked it up and then shot the man in self defense.
Ervin made it clear – he wasn’t there.
“I don’t mess around like that,” he said.
Good to know Reginal. I like that the elderly woman picked up the gun after the man had dropped it and was tackled to the ground, and then shot the man but it was “self-defense”.
I frequently describe 2Gs as overgrown and violent emotional toddlers. Most never seem to mature past the stage all people go through as toddlers where anything that upsets them is reason enough for a tantrum. It is annoying when a toddler throws himself on the ground and pitches a fit but when it is a teen or adult black, instead of throwing themselves on the ground they pull out a gun and blaze away.
Even when they are elderly and wheelchair bound at a barbeque they still find excuses for shooting each other. It is time to put the entire black population in a perpetual time-out, preferably back in Africa where they belong.

Over a 65-year-old negress who isn’t your wife? By my 70s I’d be more likely to shoot a man to get away from such a thing.

It’s an ego thing. When I was a senior in HS, myself and a friend who was a jock were both interested in the same girl. I won her hand and he never forgave me for it. When asked by another acquaintance why the big falling out, my former friend replied, “I don’t lose girls like her, to guys like him.”

At that age, especially in the black community, females outnumber the males at least 6:1. My wife made her career in geriatric nursing and assures me that black men over 65 in the nursing homes are pretty rare. They just don’t live that long due to the poor choices they make, which we are all too familiar with. Like brawling over chicken tenders on a cruise, or in this case, coming to blows over the favor of some ratchet hoe. But as you say, and everyone seems to agree, you can never take the jungle out of the chimp.
Oof. Even at 51, I still don’t want to think about old farts doing the dirty. Nobody cares for a mental image of their grandparents porking, and even less so a bunch of geriatric baboons. Yeah, I know there is lots of sex that goes on in these places, just look at the STD rates at The Villages down in Floriduh, or any retirement home really. And there are typically more women than men in these places because we men are smart enough to die younger, so the competition amongst the “ladies” for a hard dick gets pretty intense. But really, I don’t want to think about it or hear about it; it’s just reflexively repulsive. Oh, and yeah, this story rates an obligatory “stupid nigs!”.
Old people sex is gross enough, old negro sex is flat out revolting.
I doubt the old folks home can out sex facilities that provide for the mentally handicapped. They are as bad as blacks. Private, public, sex, age, doesn’t matter. They copulate like rabbits.
I’ve heard that, though haven’t witnessed it (thankfully). Thing is, people with retardation and similar conditions can kind of be excused for such lack of decorum, given their condition. Ostensibly “normal” senior citizens, not so much.
I believe this phenomenon is what fuels the “Magical Negro” trope.
Imagine a young employee encountering a Morgan Freeman in a nursing home. He’d be so wise from sheer survival that you’d have a hard time not worshipping the guy.
