Here It Comes

Cue up Martha Reeves & the Vandellas….

Much of the nation is looking at a serious heat wave. Weird how we often get hot weather in the summer.

Whenever the weather gets exceptionally hot, there will always be some idiots on social media claiming this is proof of “climate change”. Usually these people have a Ukrainian flag or a “I got my Covid-19 vaccine” frame on their profile picture. They will deride “science deniers” and claim to be science experts based on spending too much time on social media.

These are also the same people who will screech loudly during exceptional cold snaps in the winter that “weather is not climate!”, a strange claim because apparently that reverses itself in summer. For quick reference:

  • Exceptionally hot weather in summer is proof of climate change
  • Exceptionally cold weather in the winter is meaningless because weather is not climate.

When you try to hold two conflicting positions, it makes you crazy and that cognitive dissonance is the main feature of modern “liberals”. No wonder they are so damn crazy.

It’s going to be a hot week, take care of yourself and your loved ones and pets/livestock for those that have them. We are going to have a busy time making sure all the critters have plenty of water, horses and cattle can chug down a lot of water in a short time when it is hot. Being prepared is more than just having extra mags.

Imagine that me cutting and stacking firewood when it is hot outside. I could do the libtard and fill empty jars with hot air to release when it is cold outside.

    The power of suggestion (TM).

“The Beatles…the band you love!!!” brought to you by subversives seeking to destroy the moral fabric of The West.
“Its going to be a Long Hot Summer” brought to you by subversives seeking to destroy the social fabric of The West by violence.
“There will be terrorist attacks on our shores” brought to you by subversives seeking to use false flag violence to promote the surveillance state and One World Government.
“Iran will have a nuclear bomb in nine weeks” brought to you by a race of pathological liars, murderers and satanists.

    Getting sick of the bullcaca.

(And still holding a grudge that talented bands like The Ventures and many other bands were overshadowed by a bunch of communist drug addicts from Britain in the 60’s and we as a generation fell for it hook, line and sinker.)

My immediate thought upon seeing the post title and first sentence was “Nowhere to run to, baby, nowhere to hide” for some reason.

Guess I’m now an optimist like that chink that said “May you live in interesting times…”

It’s going to be as hot here in the Ozarks as it is in DFW, but the humidity has been insane. At least we’re surrounded by lots of tall, leafy trees and generally get a decent breeze. Nonetheless, thank God for air conditioning. I could not live without it. And yes, before anyone mentions it, we do have a generator (whole house propane) and a couple of medium-sized solar ones as backups. And a basic gas one still in its box in the garage.

Dig a basement Sister or put in a whole house fan and underground piping to draw air through the ground to cool your house down to ground temp…Takes a lot less juice to run just a fan instead of a fan and condenser…

Oh, how I want a basement! It’s just waiting on the $ – we don’t want to go into debt right now and it would likely require dynamite. House (cabin really) stays plenty cool with the minisplit. The guy who built the place was nuts and didn’t have a/c in the beginning, so we have these ridiculous high dormers and windows we can’t reach, that he’d apparently open with some long wooden hooked stick. With all the bugs and pollen from all the trees, we don’t open the windows (but do sit out on the front porch). It’s okay for just the two of us and we manage, but if we strike it rich I want an ICF house of about 1500 sq. ft., plus a full basement including a storm shelter. That’s my dream, but it will wait. Ensuring our sons’ and grandson’s financial future comes first.

      “here in the Ozarks ”

Oh, so that explains your perspicacity and sagaciousness. Occasionally, I entertain the opinion of people who not from the Ozarks.

      • 3g4me

Thank you kindly, Sir. I’m obviously not a native but absolutely love it here – the people and the place. Every day feels like a gift. While the news depresses me, all I have to do is look out the window at the trees and the hills, and I’m at peace.

“When you try to hold two conflicting positions, it makes you crazy”

Well, you know the old saying, “Two liberals, three opinions.” Or maybe it’s about some other group of people. I forget. ☹️

Of all damned things, here in South Central Texas, it will be a tad cooler in the next two weeks than it’s been lately. Low-to-mid 90s, when we’ve already had a handful of days at 100+ and weeks in the upper 90s. But this is Texas. We eat that shit for breakfast.

    Humidity, on the other hand…

Was supposed to be stupid uncomfortable this weekend in Mid-TN. Thankfully, so far temp is only 84 and the dewpoint is below 70. With the breeze, it feels rather nice outside. I’ll be happy man if this continues tomorrow and Sunday…

It isn’t that hot if you aren’t 400lbs. overweight.
I go out in short sleeved black button down and jeans while not even breaking a sweat.
Goyslop is bad for you and even the smell of it in Palookaville is revolting.

The weather app sent out heat alerts/warnings till 2200 hours last night, the temp was 75 degrees here. How many retards get the alert then dont even check the temp?

Hot temps are hard on livestock indeed, I like to add vitamins, minerals, and amino acid to their drinking water. Keeps fowl happy during hot Kentucky summers down on the farm.
