Speaking Of Misunderstood Gud Boyz

Let’s check in with the Magnolia State of Mississippi…

Two inmates have escaped from the Claiborne County Detention Center.

According to the Claiborne County Sheriff’s Department, the escape occurred on Friday around 2:20 a.m.

Tyrekennel Collins, 24, and Dezarrious Johnson, 18, were both being held at the detention center for two separate counties.

Tyrekennel Collins and Dezarrious Johnson.

Those are their actual names, the writer didn’t fall asleep and land face first in the keyboard. That seems awfully unfair, how else were guys named Tyrekennel and Dezarrious going to end up except in prison or dead at a yoofful age?

I thought it was interesting that the two were being held on behalf of two different counties (Copiah and Jefferson). Collins murdered his own cousin, not sure what Johnson was being held for, so at least one of them is a murderer. According to NBC News, this isn’t the first time inmates have escaped this location by means of the ol’ climbing through the ceiling routine.

(Chief Deputy Christy) Sykes said this isn’t the first time inmates at the facility were able to escape through a panel in the ceiling.

“It’s been an issue,” she said. “We’re working closely with the board of supervisors to get this taken care of as soon as possible.”

Huh, I would think you would fix that problem sooner rather than later seeing as how a murderer escaped via that means of egress. I don’t expect much of Mississippi government as the state capitol proves over and over that blacks can’t be self-governing but this seemed like a bit much. That is until I read the Wikipedia article for Claiborne County, Mississippi…..

As of the 2020 Census, this small county has the highest percentage of black or African American residents of any U.S. county, at 88.6% of the population. Located just south of the area known as the Mississippi Delta, this area also was a center of cotton plantations and related agriculture along the river, supported by enslaved African Americans. After emancipation, many generations of African Americans have stayed here because of family ties and having made the land their own.

88.6% black?

Almost 90 fucking percent?!?!

No wonder the jail can’t keep murderers locked up. Note to self, never, EVER, visit Claiborne County, Mississippi. Dis be the High Sheriff of Claiborne County, one Edward Goods…

Here is his chief deputy, quoted above, Chief Deputy Christy Sykes from her LinkedIn page:

I stopped by the Facebook page for the Sheriff’s office and was laugh out loud amused at the photos section.

The delicious irony of a Happy Father’s Day pic surrounded by mugshots of people that probably never knew their fathers. Delightful. The deputies apparently spend a lot of time on the department Facebook page cracking wise with their Miracle-American followers:

“u better have yo bank card”.

Here is the board of supervisors referenced above that Sykes is working with to address the “you can escape from jail by going through the ceiling” problem.

Oh. Well that explains the problem.

Mississippi has all sorts of prison issues….

During the manhunt, Bailey said a citizen called to report a suspicious man wearing only a sheet in her neighborhood. They responded to the area, and K-9 “Voodoo” was deployed to track the suspect.

Within two minutes, Bailey said “Voodoo” had tracked and located the escapee in a lake near the subdivision. MDOC took custody of the escapee, who was identified as Dwayne Martin.

Dwayne is as black as you would expect. As an added bonus, here are some additional delightful names from Mississippi mudfolk….

Jackson police arrested a 19-year-old male and issued a warrant for another suspect in connection to a murder in North Jackson.

The Jackson Police Department announced in a Thursday press release that Cameron Lee, 19, has been arrested for the murder of Roitavious Greenfield. Police also issued a murder warrant for Martraviois Douglas, 19, in connection to this case.

Police said Douglas is also wanted in a separate murder case. No details on the separate murder case were provided.

Roitavious and Martraviois and Tyrekennel and Dezarrious, oh my!

It’s a shame, Mississippi is a pretty state other than being too hot but the colorful residents of the state have turned it into Haiti with more Waffle Houses and Walmarts.

“ Take a quick glance down the Olympic roster. It is the black names that disproportionately stand out: Tayshaun, Deron, Rau’shee, Raynell, Deontay, Taraje, Jozy, Kerron, Hyleas, Chaunte, Bershawn, Lashawn, Sanya, Trevell, Sheena, Ogonna, Dremiel.”. From Salon.

“ Bill Cosby a few years back ranted at the NAACP about blacks “with names like Shaniqua, Shaligua, Mohammed and all that crap and all of them are in jail.”. Also from Salon.

I maintain that Cosby was innocent of the rape charges and was kneecapped because he was speaking out of turn and calling out blacks for being ignorant thugs.

That’s kind of my take, too. It’s possible he did the crimes, of course. But it strikes me as far more likely he had to be shut up and made an example of as a successful and well liked Black celebrity who stepped out of line by dissing his own peeps for their shitty cultural tendencies and bad behavior.

His criticism were right on a gnat’s ass, and the black mainstream really hated being called out like that.

Tyrekennel? What the fuck is that, a pen where they lock up their Vogue “mustard and mayos” so they won’t get stolen off a brotha’s Cadillac Fleetwood? That sheriff’s dept and maskurbating board of supervisors looks like a total clown show. Give a bunch of jigaboos an opportunity to do things “their way”, and this is what you end up with.

I just have to laugh, if I take this idiocy too seriously, I’ll give myself an aneurysm. It pisses me off thinking about how badly we’ve been screwed by having them here.

Yeah, my joke about it was a bit of a stretch, but Vogue Tyres (yes, that’s how they spell it) makes those tires with the wide white wall and thin yellow line (hence the slang mustard & mayos, for those unfamilair) that the brothas love to put on dey whips. And they are very expensive tires, so theft is a real concern if your Caddy or Lincoln Town Car is rolling on a set of those.

That’s how they denoted who was king shit up in the hood back before spinners and 22’s became all the rage.

At 88.6% black, Claiborne County, Mississippi could serve as the model for a real life Wakanda. Quite an opportunity for Salon liberals to showcase what a paradise a majority-black nation could be. I’ll bet there are thriving downtowns, superb schools and no real need for a police force. Maybe the Biden campaign can be convinced to recognize the achievements of some of its most notable citizens.

By the oddest of coincidences, I’ve got twin nephews named Tyrekennel and Dezarrious, a couple of freckle-faced Irish redheads.

Why, I bet they’ll even perfect nuclear fusion, a cure for cancer, and end world hunger down in Wakanda on the delta. Sheeeeeeit.

Side note, I have to wonder how they came to expropriate all these “latinisms” like “-tavious” and “-ious” as part of their preferred naming strategy. It’s so damn strange, as it has nothing to do with Africa. I guess they think it makes it sound like a kangz name, or something. And monkey see, monkey do, so once a few of them popped up with names like that, imitators were inevitable.

As a person of color, I feel for my African American brothers. Laughter is a feeling. Even McDonald’s in Port Gibson was known for opening late repeatedly, made news in Florida, lol.
